Sort of
Phil does have IRL friends, mostly they are asspatters and white knights rather than IRL buddies he hangs out with but they exist.
Like CWC he has friends but they won't interact with him on social media, won't be photographed with him and donate via square pay rather than his ebegging shit because they know posting any link to him online is going to be picked up by groups like us and most of them are thread worthy.
Phil and Toren hit the bar with a few friends once a month or so, they are likely friends of torens rather than Phil's but let's be optimistic and call them mutual friends, Phil also has people like Alice who helped him move into his place and drives him about, there's also cheese shopping Troon and unknown troons Phil crashed with in the past.
The issue appears to be that Toren keeps Phil's old "friends" away, Phil apparently promised his old buddies they could crash with him like he crashed with them but Toren says no...or maybe they just fear the spud cave.
But optimistically Phil has friends, they just don't want to be known as Phil friends.

OMG just to be a fly on the wall or standing off to the side in the TSA scanning are to watch the meltdown. He would scream at them when the call him sir, claim they're against him and his beliefs, then arrest or possibly shoot/taze his fatass when he lunges to get his stupid knives/pepper spray. Of course, when the question him as to why he brought all that dumb shit, we all know he would say,"it's for defense against the MRA people from the kiwifarms. And with that said, he'll finally be hauled off to a mental hospital.

I can probably guess that this comparison has been made countless times before, but I just can't help but notice that Phil is far far more antagonistic than Chris has ever been.

Chris is more or less a child who desires peace and wants his basic needs are met, and will throw tantrums if any obstacle to this lifestyle arises. If we all left him alone, he would probably be doodling his childish drawings while talking and laughing with himself, with the occasional tantrum about some MLP pony's new look or something.

Phil on the other hand seems like he's stuck in the early teens mindset of constant rebellion against, well anything: His parents, Cisgender people, politics, his own race..etc., if he was left completely alone, he would actively seeking out some cause or person to get pissed off about.

It depends how u look at it.
On the surface it appears true but you have to remember Phil is pure Internet tough guy. It's easy to say "Phil punched his mother/girlfriend" but he only did that because he knew they wouldn't fight back, sure he talks a lot of shit but he's always had people to hide behind like dusty, Jordan or the red and black crew and 99% of his drama is talking shit online about people who can't see it.
Phil persona is all angst and shittalking but he's really just happy for attention and would rather just sperg about animu and buffy. In his own way CWCs more Phil than Phil, he's had actual run ins with the law whilst Phil is a known grass.
Not to defend Phil but the key difference between Phil and Chris is that Phils negative behaviour was encouraged (poison parenting, dusty, tranny drama) whilst Chris had influences to curb his dumbest shit. If Phil had the support Chris had they would have been largely the same.

To me, he comes across as basically this middle class teenager trying to rebel against his parents. He's antagonistic, sure, but he hates getting out of his actual comfort zone. He (mostly) knows when to back down or run away. Mentally, he's about 14 - he thinks he knows everything, but he's still incredibly naive and desperate to prove himself. You have this man in his thirties whose every action is designed to say, "I'm not a child any more, Dad!"

If Phil is so staunchly opposed to white supremacy and colonialism, why is he so obsessed with google-translating his "thoughts" into a white settler-colonial language? How is Spanish superior to English in that regard?

To answer @Brackets , it's pretty much because when he was a kid, he became obsessed with Jennifer Lopez and became a Spicaboo ever since due to a bunch of Latina pop-singers coming out into the mainstream when he was a kid. This combined with ignorance, his obsession with world building (poorly), and just a dash of his puddle tier knowledge regarding far-left ideas in general (which itself is literally due to FUCK YOU DAD AND MOM from what I recall) nets you everything you need to know about why Phil is Phil.

Pretty much but wanted to add some context.
Pre-animu club Phil was a right wing conservative with a very pro white leaning. His musical tastes were mostly shit tier nu-metal. It's only when Phil try to turn towards being "progressive" to impress his new weeaboo friends that he starts his "Latinx" phase.
Phil spergs like @Ravenor discussed a bunch of reasons why this happened, none are confirmed but take your pick as to which.

The obvious - Phil likes girls, he was embarrassed to admit he like girls cause he's so super gay so covered it up by liking their music and talking about how strong they were.
Less obvious - Phil absorbs whatever is popular or edgy into his philsona even if he doesn't actually like it. Latin pop was popular and less threatening than new metal so he want with it. Same with anime, gaming and the LGBT scene, it just got him closer to his intended friend base
The dull - Phil real music taste isn't latino gangster rap and punk rock like he claims, it's generally chart pop, early and mid 90s Madonna and hot topic rock. Shakira and j-lo were just bland enough for Phil.
The FUCK you dad - Angelo was a proud American and his son was a nasty racist, they clashed over this and the famous 4th of July rape (in which Angelo spanked Phil for being an ass hole and a bully).
Phil adopted Latin culture to balance out his patriot father. Phil later did a ret-con on his past claiming republican Phil was a product of Angelos parenting and that Phil always wanted to be Latinx but his father banded Spanish anything about his culture from the home.

ive noticed that theres a fair amount of kylo ren popping up in his nonsense

After the sequel trilogy started Spuds got big into star wars and also Kylo is a pretty looking dude and Phil is pretty gay, so he thinks Kylo's hot and edgy like Sasuke and Naruto were attractive to him way back at the start of his online saga.
