Well Chris has been larping as Sonichu for six months now, so really you're misgendering Chris by not referring to Chris's contemporary situation as being something that HE is in. When the body known as Chris wakes up these days, that is HIM waking up, and he answers to the name Sonichu.

When Chris has done interviews in the last six months, the hosts and everyone else has to play along and pretend they're talking to Sonichu. EXACTLY the same as when he first became Christine.

TBH Chris is a lot nicer than most people who insist upon different pronouns and names. He mostly just casually corrects them. Like people in recent Discord Q&As keep addressing their questions to "Christine", but then Chris ("Sonichu") starts his answer off by getting them back on track. "Christine, what's your favorite color???" "Hm, Mama's favorite color? Let me think..."

If you're calling this person Christine or using female pronouns, you're behind the times. That's a very male consciousness inhabiting that body. Keep up, or be referred to as a slow-in-the-mind.

Seriously, though, does anyone think that maybe the adoption of the Sonichu persona could be some kind of course-correct for Chris? If Chris is actually trans then he would be uncomfortable as a male. And yet here for six months he's been going around as a male again.

I do think he has some sort of gender dysphoria. I don't think he's making up all of his gender issues. Not at all. He was more comfortable when he started wearing bras, for example. But he just doesn't present as female, period. I've known and referred to MtFs as "she" and "her" before. I have no problem doing that. With Chris it doesn't feel quite right.

Way way way back in like 2005-2007 wasn't he actually known as "Sonichu" when Something Awful first discovered him? Some people called HIM Sonichu. In that early livejournal(?) post from someone observing him in the UV library, they called HIM Sonichu. There's precedence for this. I for one am content to just call him Sonichu from now on.

I don't think he'd completely get rid of his name, since it was given to him by 'God and The Bear', but adding on 'Sonichu' as a legal moniker makes sense. I wonder if anyone has suggested a proper name change to him before?

The line between where Chris ends and where Sonichu begins has been shrinking for many years.

To Chris, adding ‘Sonichu’ to his legal name would be as meaningless as stacking an extra ‘Chris’ in there.

He IS Chris-Chan Sonichu (Or CWCSonichu as has been his Internet-name/gamertag for decades) no matter what any paperwork says.

Fuck, in 20 years when Chris is old and in a nursing home and slipping into dementia, I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts demanding to be called Sonichu.

I think Chris has halfway forgotten he’s supposed to be a woman by now. He barely bothers talking in his “womanly” voice anymore.

I believe his transition is a stepping stone for that. Unable to cope with the idea of being something he railed against for so long he chose to become a woman. Where he could express his feminine tendencies but retain his sexuality. For chris it was the best of both worlds. One where he could be feminine but avoid the precieved stigma of homosexuality.

Excellent post. Fully agree with the self-defense transition part, not so much the repressed homosexual point. I've often been of the opinion that without the trolls finding out about his homophobia, not realizing it was Bob-induced and bombarding him with dick pics, "Rosechu with a pickle" (and I am sure there is something to be said about his symbolic comparison of penises to pickled cucumbers) and demanding he declare himself gay under threat of losing his PSlive account, he wouldn't have trooned out in self defense.

However I still don't think he's gay. Even after trooning he declared himself 'lesbian' and thirsted after women with no attraction to men showing at all. Even the time he did declare himself gay and 'a dick licker' it was under threat of a moon laser burning CWCville to glass slag by the Idea Guys. As soon as they went, so did his 'gay' claims and it was back to thirsting after Doopie and trying to get into the Brony Analyst circle.

He still dosen't like most men on reflex, but not because he secretly lusts for them, that's pretty clear. What little sex drive remains to him after the damage he's done to it is still heterosexually oriented.

Some people will criticize no matter what. Others will pick up interest if your art is interesting/you have funny content/etc.
