Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Chris himself has very poor recollection of his own past, from both his young years and the classic era.

Reminds me of this old post:

"The passage of time, and the events that transpire within certain time frames are hazy and nebulous to Chris at the best of times. [...] Something something something ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PIZZA PARTY... something something something PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH I HAD ON MARCH 11, 1992... [...] There's no coherent theme to him. Just random events that form no pattern and tell no story. Chapters, indeed! Bah!"

One day the worlds biggest colleges will begin producing Christorians. People writing their master’s thesis on the financial decision making of Chris Chan. A few cranks along the way begin finding patterns to suggest the dimension merge is real and end up on coast to coast am.

Like if he was put into the right education where he had some real friends instead of paid ones, if his parents did more to make sure he had developed social skills and was still given unlimited internet access do you think he would've turned out at least semi normal? In my opinion Chris never would've been normal like he just kind of seemed to be set up for social failure but if he was put into the right education system from a young age he could've maybe made some friends with some other spergs.

yeah. definitely. Early heavy treatment of autism can and does have great positive effects. especially if they'd have been more proactive in helping him learn to manage his lifestyle, diet, budget and gotton him into programs to help him find good stable jobs and helped his education. all of this is decently accomplishable.

If Bob and Barb could drop the pride early on and send him on special ed programmes and were stricter with internet access, yes, surely he would have turned out differently. But I also think that there were certain other issues that Bob and Barb would have a harder time contending with, no matter what they did for Chris.

For instance, their habitual hoarding. They were already too old to shake shitty habits like that by the time they had Chris, so I doubt there's anything they could've done by that time, perhaps aside from some sort of family counselling, to sort that problem out. The hoarding, no doubt, affected Chris.

Still would have made a complete fool of himself on the internet, still would have went on his love quest, still would have shat himself and done nothing when the going got tough at any stage of his life.

Fundamentally, a lot of key factors in his life would have to be entirely changed so he could have been a functioning non retarded contributer to society.

Yes. Chris is what we call a "perfect storm". Sure, he was born from a semi-fossilized egg of a 41 old woman, fed infant soy formula and zogfood since day 1, but all this would still lead to him being just a traditional village idiot type. He'd probably would be able to have a simple job etc.

But if you take a slow in the mind retard and you basically plug him to television and modern media 24/7 for 40 years like he's in the matrix you end up with Chris

tl;dr retarded people will always be retarded, but they won't start believing absurd ideas like being the opposite gender unless (((someone))) tells them to

Of course Chris would have been different if the circumstances of his life changed. This is an incredibly common question. Asking if Chris would be different if key moments in his life changed is like asking you if instead of a cake on your 8th birthday you dad did a flip.

If Chris's IQ were higher or if he got the right therapy he might be doing a little better but Chris is a tard even if he were bill gates son he would have only used the inherent fame for some other stupid shit.

Yes. If his shit-bag parents hadn't been so adamant on keeping him in classes with normal kids he could have gotten the help he needed at a young age. Combine that with putting their foot down and forcing him to work, take care of himself, and lay off the cartoons a bit and he could have even perhaps grown up to be a relatively normal if not eccentric adult.

He's very clearly disabled but even now I think he's quite high-functioning. There's a chance he could have even completed his love quest and found a cute girl his age—probably autistic like him though, but still.

Wow, that's the question that I've never seen here! But yeah, I tihnk, he wouldn't be nearly so bad if he had good parents instead of enablers and manipulators. His autism isn't even so severe, if you think about it.

He may have ended up a bit funnier or less funny with certain outcomes but Bob and Barb are the reason he is the way he is today. Those two had so many issues that affected Chris to the point where I believe the only thing that could have really changed him is if he was born from different parents.
Even without autism his home life was fucked enough I'm sure he would have been a cow regardless.
