Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

So last year I was in NYC and I went to the Museum of Modern Art's adjunct experimental exhibition space, PS1. They were exhibiting work by Mike Kelley.

One piece of work reminded me of OPL:

Ok...

What the fuck is up with colossal chan? Even for chris, that is fucktarded as hell.

Why didnt he go to his high school reunion? I really dont understand that. Did they sneak it around him or did he have an epiphany?

Did bob really think he was a creative genius for sonichu or was it sort of him supporting chris because...its chris?

Given the stigma of the word chan on the web, i find it odd he so openly embraced it, but im guessing it was prior to his revelations about 4chan and whatnot. Still, makes the whole thing better.


On a side note, this pic is fucking awesome! I would love to see chris bump into this dude at a convention! I bet he would think it was a new liquid...

There either wasn't a formal reunion or there's a rumor that there was a reunion but due to the location of it Chris thought it was a trolling scheme. Either way there was a small get together of people who graduated Manchester High at some point in 2010 or 11 that was posted about on facebook.

I'm on the fence as to whether Borb thought Chris was really an accomplished artist with many fans or if they just indulged his fantasies of being so. Somewhere there's an email that Barb wrote to Nintendo and it looks like she put a lot of effort into it to just be playing pretend. And Bob seems to have believed there was a Sonichu fan club at the time of the Emily date so it's all very bizarre. Like did they ever genuinely take a look at what Chris was producing? (Other than Barb telling him sub-episodes made him look "retarded".)

The fan club thing, i got the vibe bob was on to that because he kept asking to see something from it.

I think Chris chose that nickname when he started getting into anime. It was convenient and easy to remember. CHRIStian CHANdler, after all.
 
We know that Chris was bullied a lot in high school long before :julay:, :ween:, :asperchu:, and }:P. And yet, while he sees high school as the best time of his life, he would draw the torture and death of the "Asperpedia Four" as if they hurt him like never before.

Why is that?

Best theory I can devise is that his ego wasn't fully developed until he (technically) entered adulthood. He didn't have quite so much pride to be injured. That or his rage against his high school enemies never made it to paper (or at least, not to the Internet).

Because Chris is a petty, vindictive, spoiled manbaby that thinks somebody making fun of him (or his beloved sonichu) is one of the worst things a person could do. Rape and Murder? Nope, those are nothing compared to the trauma of being Soul Raped by slanderous Trolls and their slanderous parodies of his honest and godbear inspired sonichus and rosechus.

Is Chris's awfulness due to nature or nurture? If Barb and Bob had raised him somewhat competently, would he still be the loser we all love to hate, a socially impaired basement dweller who can hold down a job and isn't as awkward as Chris, a relatively normal person who has learned to live with his autism, can form personal relationships, and has a fairly normal life, or a highly successful person? I just think it would be hilarious if there is an alternate universe version of Chris who, instead of obsessing about his crappy cartoon, obsessed over science or technology and became a highly successful, intelligent, handsome, responsible, and kind inventor/scientist/writer. Even more hilarious if the two versions found out about each other's existence.

That may be the more likely scenario. :asperchu: and }:P came at the time when Chris was drawing Sonichu, if he was drawing back in the high school days, we'd see the bullies, if it was more toward the present, he would probably strike on Rob Bell, even though he was the one that helped Chris stay out of prison, and by extension, keep the :tugboat: rolling.
 
I wish I could remake "Caddyshack" with Chris as Carl Spackler.

Is that email available publicly? I have never seen it, but I would love to.

My guess is Bob probably thought Chris art was silly and juvenile, but he thought things like Sonic were silly and juvenile too. He was old, and not able to understand what kids these days like.

Yeah, but even if he drew the monalisachu it would look like yellow dog shit smeared by a painting elephant. The subject matter wasnt as important as his sheer lack of talent.

The holes in barbs ass...are they bug bites or bed sores? Why does she have holes in her ass of all places?

I believe at some point Chris mentioned on Facebook that Barb was complaining about scabies around the time, so the cwcki assumes lesions.
