Why oh why was an autistic untrained forty year old tranny with mental issues allowed to become the caretaker for a septuagenarian with advancing dementia? Did no one even if they hated Barb think to call health services and say ‘hey you should check on this situation because shit is bad guys?’ I know I know don’t pozload my neghole but who didn’t see SOME sort of disaster coming from this situation, ChrisChan barely kept up his own health let alone the needs of an ailing mother. People, mostly weens, have been calling the authorities for literally years and the Chandlers rebuffed them. Barb obviously would resist intrusion by the authorities because if they saw the conditions she was living in, they'd have pulled her out of the house. The fact she actually let them remove her from the house implies she's really far gone, imo.

On a serious note, Bob was not only an idiot for sleeping around with some worthless hussie that tore him away from his family, an idiot again for impregnating her last remaining egg that was way out of date but a complete dumbass for thinking he could "mainstream" Chris while also insisting he live off handouts.

Distrust of state run mental institutions can only excuse so much. Bob might have been well meaning and showed genuine desire to do right by his family but he was way out of his depth when he got involved with Barb and as a father to Chris just plain hopeless. If Barb wasn't an insane neurotic hoarder then things might've worked out reasonably well but no man Bob's age could've carried that load on their own.
Also there's this bullshit yarn about Chris being a mute child because of some trauma he suffered at an early age from a babysitter who got fed up with his shit. This is an obvious falsehood invented to conceal the fact he's a retard who simply could not speak until he was seven. The motherfucker still can't string together coherent sentences.
A significant factor in the development of Chris' narcissism is his parent's misguided effort to encourage a positive self image by shielding him from the truth of his condition and excusing his pathologies.

I have family that's autistic, they don't have it nearly as bad as Chris and I haven't seen signs of psychopathic traits either but their parents are also older like Bob and Barb and don't seem to take it seriously that their kid is still living at home past the age of 20. Some times I worry.

There's a specific reason it wouldn't be conspiracy. Virginia adheres to something called "Wharton's Rule" that means if a crime by necessity takes two people to commit it, they can't be charged with conspiracy for it. For instance, if someone sells drugs to someone, the seller and buyer can't be charged with conspiracy on top of the crimes they individually committed. Otherwise, the buyer could be charged with a crime as serious as the seller despite legislative intention the crimes be treated differently. So a prosecutor can't sleaze his way into bypassing that by charging the buyer with conspiracy to distribute.

Also, the Chandlers really spared the rod, spoiled the (man)child. I think the time they should have punished Chris, even though he was an adult, would have been when he started the love quest in PVCC that resulted in Chris' subsequent suspension. No self respecting parent would could accept what Chris had done by creeping on women with that attraction sign. Ironically, Bob went along with it, and it wasn't until sometime later that Barb told Chris to stop with that.

It would still go downhill after that. It was a good waste of time and money for Chris to get a degree he would end up never using.

The impression I got was he only attended PVCC to please his father. We know Bob put him up to it in the first place and I can't imagine he stuck with the program past the point of being confronted and then suspended by that wicked witch Slaweel Ryam without some serious pressure being applied by his father.
I would not be surprised if Bob also greased the tracks for him by putting in some donations but I guess that's something we'll never find out.
That Chris even managed to get a degree is something I find baffling, one of the most fundamental skills taught in any CAD/CAM program is basic draftsmanship since it's very important to be able to read and correctly interpret drawings made by other people, even today it's really fucking important to be able to correctly read the faded scribbles put down many decades ago and figure out how to program toolpaths to match. The principles are the same, parametric 3D modeling or not. Frankly I'd be amazed if Chris who shows so little care and attention to his own drawings would be able to distinguish a center line from a dimension line or even a hidden line from a visible one ("what do those dashes mean? Oh screw it let's draw a pokemon card."). All this talk insisting on how straight he is and not once did he pick up a ruler. If I were his professor I'd fail him on that alone — but I doubt strongly he even attended class and was allowed to skirt the rules by a school administration that would rather not have to deal with a psychotic manchild throwing another fit.
Dude was probably holed up in the computer lab most days browsing the Landover Baptist Church forums, effortposting. What is clear is the only thing he's ever done in his life that is of any genuine merit on a resume is something he sees no value in. Be it the result of an intrinsic association to a time and place in his life that he hated, lack of any actual ability or discouragement from classmates/professors it's just another entry in the long list of fucking pathetic and tragic failures that is the life of Ian Brandon Anderson.

If I remember correctly, Bob was trying to convince his engineering friends from work to get Chris a job. That didn't happen because I assume of Chris' fuckery (love quest). So I think, Bob thought that Chris wouldn't amount to much and put him on the tugboat.

Now that you say this, it seems like a very cushy gig. I think when Bob put Chris for SSDI, it made him lazy. With that job, Chris would have ignored the trolls. But he went back to business as usual. Even if he was working at that job, Chris would've still kept his older habits like creeping on women.
