Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Yeah, pretty much. Always remember that Chris perceived his nemesis as the Man In The Pickle Suit, not an actual Pickle Man. He has learned just enough to recognise a cheap Sanic cosplay for what it is.

Also, and I can never overstress this, Chris does not believe this shit. He'd like to believe it, and he wants us to believe it, but he himself is aware that it's a fantasy. It just happens to be a very useful fantasy for him.

Which part? It’s been pointed out that it’s possible for someone with a weak mind to get so deep in their cope larp that they can’t get back out.

A possibility, I'll grant, but I don't think so. Not at this point.

Chris and his various crackpot 'beliefs' are best compared, I think, to your average scuzzy televangelist type. He doesn't really believe in God, per se: but he's realised that he can make life very cushy for himself if he pretends that he does, and convinces the more gullible that he is somehow touched by God. Chris is far from an expert con artist, but time and again has demonstrated childish attempts to impress others and convince them of Chris's immense power and prestige. The various psychic powers demonstrations, the shameless proclamations of other realities and personal deityhood, followed by the appeals for tributes...Chris is basically an autistic Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell. Less successful because less charismatic and less worldly, but the underlying principle is pretty much identical. Watch me on YouTube and believe.

Can anyone point out where and when did Chris get into the Neptunia games? Was it not the games but the anime? I started playing Hyperdimension Neptunia VII and this thought popped up that Chris refers to these characters as "Goddesses".

I've seen a lot of people post on various threads that once Barb dies the bank will just take the house. Assuming that it isn't a reverse mortgage which it appears not to be, can't the house be sold, the bank paid off and the remainder minus any taxes/death duties going to whoever is in the will or her sons? Just because the house is mortgaged doesn't mean the bank owns it, there is just a loan with the house as collateral. Barb still owns the rest of the houses value. I know in the UK this would be the case but am not aware of how it would work elsewhere.

Another question, I understand from what I read on the wiki that Kengle is the main contact with Chris but what exactly is his backstory? I do not understand why he would suddenly become the go to person for Chris and his letters.

One thing I can’t believe hasn’t been brought up, although it’d probably never happen now, would Chris be a good mukbanger? It’s the one job In the whole world I genuinely think he’d be actually good at. He’s already a fat, disgusting gluttonous slob. All he’d have to do is to upload videos of him eating lots of any fast food he wanted everyday on YouTube and the views and money would pour in. His health would take a massive toll but it’d be hell of a lot better than him rotting in jail right now. What do you think, wouldn’t it be the perfect job for him?

The Idea Guys introduced Hyperdimension Neptunia, Kengle is a long time enabler and probably volunteered to be Chris’s servant/messenger after Null cut ties with him. Also kengle boils hamburgers which isn’t germane to any of this but somehow tells you all you need to know about Kengle.

I think the closest we got to a mukbang was the "Christopher Paul Whitney" reveal video where he wolfs down a microwave pizza on camera.

After visiting the Cwcki I just realized I have been getting Kengle and Waterman confused this whole time. :o Oh boy. I feel lost. :/

I've seen a lot of people post on various threads that once Barb dies the bank will just take the house.

Once Barb dies and Chris fails to make the mortgage payments.

Do you really see Chris managing to maintain the mortgage? People are failing to mention that step because, well, it's just rightly assumed.

There are other potential outcomes. In theory Cole could take over the mortgage upon Barb's death. I'm not so sure how likely that is. If Tom and Harriet have really taken over Barb's finances, I could very well be sold off before Barb dies, and the mortgage closed out from the sale. However, none of these other possibilities allow for Chris to come back to live at 14BLC either.

Do you think it'll be a big thing when Chris dies? As big as when the incest confession came out and he out-trended the olympics.

Or do you think it'll be some smaller thing with people not really caring about Chris after jail?

I just assume that as long as the house isn't in negative equity then it will be sold. No one imagines Chris being able to manage the mortgage or affording the payments. I've seen some posts that indicate the poster assumes that the house will automatically be the banks property once barb dies. We all know Chris is never going to be living at 14BLC after what he did. Most likely unless there is a will that states otherwise Barbs mess will end up going to Cole as the eldest child. Although if she has an up to date will I would be curious to know how her estate will be divided. I feel like she and Bob would have had wills made up but don't believe she would have updated it in the years since his passing.

Also are death duties a thing in the US? Here the government takes about 20% of a persons estate so even if you are left a house you owe a huge chunk of its value anyway.

But sold by WHO? That's what matters.

If the bank forecloses, there are all sorts of things they can do to fuck Chris. Depending on Virginia's foreclosure laws, they could potentially sell it for less than the outstanding mortgage and then go after Chris for the difference. This way Chris gets nothing and whoever the bank sells to gets a nice, fat profit.

If the bank forecloses, then, at the discretion of the bank, Chris either gets the equity or nothing.

If Cole takes over the mortgage, he gets the title. He'll likely sell it for a small profit to a flipper. Then, at the discretion of Cole, Chris either gets a small payout, or nothing.

If Tom and Harriet sell it to defray Barb's upkeep, then the bank will get paid off, and at Tom and Harriet's discretion, Chris gets a small sum inheritance after Barb dies, or Chris gets nothing.

tl;dr: Odd are Chris gets nothing.

When there's a mortgage, the will means nothing. It's whoever agrees to take on the mortgage (and is capable of doing so) that matters.

It depends on the value of the estate. I don't see 14BLC being worth enough.
