“People used to hit their kids.” People used to be more violent in general. Civilized people are less violent and doing better than our primitive ancestors. There are other ways to deal with a kid’s bad behavior before going nuclear. Taking away privileges, timeouts, removing the kid from whatever situation is setting them off or stimulating their misbehavior. But that’s getting a bit off topic, even for this thread.

Bob tried that once. Granted, Chris was in his late to mid twenties and not a kid, Chris still had that juvenile mentality that should have been corrected. By your logic, of all the times Chris did something wrong, Bob should've removed every single toy in Chris' old room. If he did, would that have fixed Chris' behavior and stop engaging the trolls? Personally, I don't know. Taking the whole thing of giving Chris corporal punishment not as a kid, but as an adult, would that have the same result? A 20-year old Chris doing something bad, but still getting hit; would that be abuse/unnecessary? Keep in mind, Chris has been talked to by his parents, but kept on doing the same thing.

Question: Did Chris ever have any known online or direct contact with Ulillillia (Nick Smith)?

For those who don't know, Ulillillia is a mentally ill man from North Dakota who bears a lot of similarities to Chris. He managed to overcome a number of phobias and create a video game but I don't think he ever finished it. He wrote a book about a character named Knuckles who seems practically omnipotent and who is purple like Chris's Magi-chan. A documentary was made about him and his response to a disaster, his hometown flooding. Uli eventually got a job at Wal-mart, moved to Florida, worked at a different Wal-mart, and last I've heard plans to move to Oregon because he is phobic about the masks they required him to wear during the pandemic.

As I understand the timeline, Uli was discovered by the SA Forums in 2001, and a thread about him was derailed in 2007 by revelations about Chris. In 2019 someone left a copy of Uli's book on Chris's porch and Chris said he'd ask for an autograph if he ever meets him.

Ulillillia is very humble and willing to work to overcome his problems (Swimming/water used to be a big issue for him iirc) while Chris is a selfish narcissist who only cares about his immediate pleasure and I can’t really see them getting along.

People decry that saying for reinforcing so called "toxic masculinity " but the saying originally went "boys will be boys, children will be children. " it was saying kids will make mistakes, they'll stumble and fall, but you just gotta let nature take its course so they learn actions have consequences.


But before I derail the thread to answer a previous question. So long as he doesn't chimp out and his delusions of grandeur and being a CPU goddess aren't determined to make make him dangerous western State won't care what he does. So long as he shuts up and learns what to say when he goes before the judge.

Taking away video games and TV privileges works on normal kids who misbehave. He could have been made to sit on the stairs until he calmed down from whatever tard rage. It takes communication and dedication, which Barb didn’t care about. Bob couldn’t get anything done with Barb undoing any gains he made.

People who know how to raise autistic kids would have to answer your question as to precisely what kind of discipline could have helped Chris, but it’s pretty clear people in general just don’t learn from being hit. I’m not against it for some namby pamby liberal reason; it just doesn’t work.

For the former, as much as I'd like, I cannot find any evidence to support it. Chris himself has stated that he'd rather become a tranny than become gay. I've met some very feminine transwomen. I've also met some incredibly insane ones, but they still at least tried to own their female identity. However Chris falls squarely into the "It's MA'AM" category of people who are just in it because they want the perks of being female.

I think it's a little bit more nuanced than that in my opinion. During the classic Chris era, you could tell Chris was GAY he likes dick. He used to express himself about staying straight as if was the result of a constant struggle plaguing all straight men to "veer off the straight path" with devilish temptation or some shit like that. He used to say he dreamt of men's asses and his homophobia was clearly motivated by an irrational fear of becoming gay himself.

There are very effeminate men that much rather spend time around women without ever rejecting their own manhood. I think this is how chris would have expressed his sexuality/Identity had not being due to how he obsessed to the homophobic aspects of his own upbringing.

Due to the way he was raised, he probably thought being gay was the worst thing that could have happened to him. Also, him being a perpetual child probably thought of the idea of being a man as having to embrace adult responsibilities. This is a very common thing to hear in traditional households where one boy is expected to embrace the father's role upon his temporary or permanent absence.

About Gender Identity and expression: People not from huge cities/rural environments all around the world tend to confuse homosexuality, transexuality and crossdressing as if they were the same thing. It is not uncommon to hear in rural areas that Gay men are just jealous of women or gay men want to be women. So due to exposition to Anna, Chris probably realized transitioning was a way to loophole around his homosexuality in a way that was allowed in his childish perception of homosexuality (i.e., Lesbians are hot, gays are Icky)

Not to continue belaboring this point, but there is some psychological research about how the severity of punishment within the context of your community has a big impact on how traumatic being hit as a child is. That is to say, if you feel like you will get a whipping when you act out, but you know that all other children in your community also have to deal with those same consequences, it is less likely to bother you later in life than if you perceive you are the only one having to deal with physical punishment.

So it may be that as society has gotten less violent and hitting has become more taboo, the consequences for hitting your kids have actually gotten worse for long-term psychological effects.
