It never seemed to bother her that both of her progeny are complete waste of life losers. As long as Chris was her paypig and errand boy he was free to be failure in life as much as he wanted. As for Cole Barb didn't make any effort to contact or meet Cole for over a decade until she hit financial difficulties. Even then she made her pet Chris do all the work for her.
I feel that the point of no return for Chris was right after he got suspended from PVCC. At that point if the Borb (well, Bob, let's be real) truly realized he was unfit for any job that required more cognitive ability than like, operating a scanner, and put the energy they had left at that geriatric stage of their lives towards setting him up with some low-interaction and low-skill job like sorting glass or pushing carts, he could've had something. Not much, but something to occupy his time and be sorta useful to society.
I'm sure there's a handful of people out there that would say Barb got what was coming to her...
I think it was right after he graduated college and as he was working for Wendy's. Given the school issues Chris had when he was younger, his parents might have been able to dupe themselves into believing the "discrimination" was happening again, however the day that Chris came home from Wendy's, his uniform soaked with trash, and himself absolutely reeking of fast food garbage, with Chris walking around in public like that, really cemented his mentality and lack of capability. Even if he lied to them about being fired for scaring a small child, it was probably right then that Bob knew Chris wasn't going to go into a drafting job, and it was better for the Chandlers that they just kept Chris away from the public as much as they could.
I think the only reason he used that phrase so much was because it was in the lyrics of 'So need a cute girl' and he couldn't think of anything that rhymed with 'I just need a cute girl my age' and after awhile he just flat out forgot where the phrase came from.
It was at this point Barb and Bob went down different roads when it came to parenting. Bob realized at least some of his mistakes and tried in vain to fix them. While Barb refused to accept her shoddy parenting yet again and started down a path to stupidity, narcissism, and worst of all her being assaulted by a monster she unwittingly created.
Right now Trainee is just doing an AMA in the video's comment section. Most of them are already known from his previous Reddit posts but one question asked about the Gateway Homes, which Trainee claimed to hear Chris mumble about. Also one amusing character mentioned by Chris is Kyle the prison guard, who he hates because Kyle doesn't entertain his delusions.

That is one annoying voice. I get that he wanted it distorted to protect his identity, but did he have to include the ungodly wailing toward the end?

Not saying she deserved it either, just saying Barb is the one who enabled Chris' behavior. You reap what you sow, pick up what you place down etc etc.
When you psychologically and emotionally abuse someone their whole life, don't be surprised when they either (A) have nothing to do with you later in life when they have the choice or (B) use you for all your worth whether it be for financial exploitation or sexual gratification when they get the chance.
Bob's only known grandchild is also autistic, so there's a good chance he's not going to pass on his genes either.
Just like her act at being a mom, imagining Barb as a grandmother is horrifying. She'll treat her grandchild the same way as Chris.
The Weston bloodline won't necessarily die with Barb. She had sisters if I'm not mistaken. For all we know one of them could have had kids.
