Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

There isn't a hard and fast rule about it. There is no magic number of negative ratings or ratio of negative or postive ratings that will get you automatically banned.

But the things that get a lot of negative ratings also lead to bannings, so there is a strong correlation. And a moderator on the fence about banning you could look at all your negative ratings and say "Ah, everyone else thinks he is a jackbag too, I probably should go ahead with the ban."

Is that helpful?

Dunsparce lurks.

I saw this in a now-locked thread:

Some person white-knighting CWC said:
3. A well documented, cautionary tale. I like to paint and have made over 100 paintings. I don't think they have a market but I like them and used to display them all over my house (literally every square inch of every wall) in order that I might delight visitors. Visitors were mainly freaked out. After watching enough CWC videos, I removed them all from my walls and stored them in a closet.

Why do so many people claim influence from CWC? What does having your own art hanging up on the walls have to do with seeing CWC videos? People seem to attribute things in their life to Chris without him doing anything.

I assume the logic is: He thought that hanging his own art all over his house made him look super-creative and charmingly eccentric. He saw that when Chris was obsessed with his own crappy work it made him look bad.

I think that is how a lot of people "learn lessons" from Chris. They see a behavior he does and try to avoid it.

It isn't the best logic. The truth is that you can find an eccentricity in someone you like a lovable quirk and the same eccentricity in someone you don't like very annoying. If Chris were an otherwise nice and lovable guy, we would look at some of the stuff he does, like the CWC-isms for example and say "Aw Chris, you are a character." Since he is not, we say "What the fuck?".

Little Big Planet 3 is being released soon, will we see posts from Chris about it ?
Since this was posted elsewhere before it was locked, I suppose it's unlikely he will touch it, but I could be wrong there. Still the thought of seeing a reprisal of his 'creativity' from the previous games would be a hearty welcome for most of us I'm sure (if thsoe days aren't already long gone).

Chris has a really hard time coping with death, even it's just a fictional character, so I wondered how he reacted to Optimus Prime dying in the old cartoon...
And on a side note, if Optimus Prime is his symbol of straightness and said symbol is dead since like the 90s, should we really be surprised by his tomgirl shenanigans?

This was covered in one of Chris' videos, along with a slightly disturbing meditation by Chris on his own power.
Chris said:
And, uh… and, uh, for Ryan Cash and his family, I—I, uh, feel for you, and I'm sorry, but—uh, best thing you can do for, uh, Ryan and yourselves… is just to move on. Try to be as hap—try to be… happy… in the future. That's what Ryan would want for—for y'all in the family.
Geez. So much power... That's—that's a lot worse than when that child locked himself in the room after he—after seeing Optimus Prime die in the original movie.

That's interesting, thanks. Also another great example of Chris not giving a fuck about tragedies as long as they don't really affect him negatively.

It raises another point: Do we have anything where Chris has to weight down the quality of these lives of someone against his own quality of live?
Like Chris is offered the hypothetical option of getting something but that inevitably results in some one (or a group of people) losing something in return.
I bet there is something somewhere in the mailbags.

I mean, people lose money on taxes and Chris gets a tugboat, so his entire existence is fueled by this (and he's obviously okay with it) but I was thinking more of "Would you get a PS3 if that meant 10 other people could never get a PS3?" kind of situation...

I can't find the reference, but there's a letter in the Mailbag where he's presented with the hypothetical situation where a stranger would be killed unless Chris had sex with a man. Chris' response was, roughly paraphrasing, "I'd try to find a loophole, but otherwise that stranger is shit out of luck. NO GAY SEX EVER!"

If Chris weren't as prejudiced towards practically everyone else on the autism spectrum, would he probably be open to dating an aspie girl?
>tfw hopelessly in love with an asexual aspie with the same name as my sister who looks like a taller Megan

Chris, in his current ways, would not date another autist, not even a high functioning one. The idea seems to completely disgust him. He'd avoid aspies even and especially if he accepted aspergers as equal to autism.

Nah. Firstly, there's the fact that he sees aspies as stealing the limelight from TRUE and HONEST autistics like himself. This wouldn't necessarily be a killer, though, because Chris is able to put a lot of principles aside where china is involved. More important is the fact that Chris is looking for a fuckmommy, and a vital part of his identity is demanding pity for the fact that he's autistic. Somebody with the same disadvantage that he has would not be desirable - if she's more successful than him, she shows him up. If she's a lazy welfare leech like him, she can't be the mother substitute he's looking for. Either way, she wouldn't give him the special snowflake treatment he feels he's entitled to.

Chris' "sweetheart requirements" have been repeatedly shown to be extremely flexible. I am not sure what would happen if a nice autistic girl showed interest in him.

It's possible he would stick to his guns. But I also think it is possible he would give it a shot.

I think it would depend on the girl's personality.
Does she has a lot of wellfare to spend on Chris? Is she enabling him to play with legos all day?
Those two seem to be the most important things in a woman for Chris.
Ability to take care of him and enable him to act like a manchild.

Would it? Look at sweet-trolls like Kacey and Jackie. They got on his ass. Chris got pissy about it sometimes, but he was still interested.

After 10 years of failing to find a sweetheart I think Chris has realized, consciously or subconsiously, that it is unlikely to happen. I am not sure how many people with a pulse and a vagina he would turn down.

You got a point there. No offense intended, but I think Chris had better chances with women before the Tomgirl era.
Now he may just jump at anything female just to try and get a chance of making Crystal.

Speaking of which, in order to have a child in 2015, he has 140 days starting now to get a girl pregnant (assuming an average pregnancy length of 266 days).
The last possible day to get his Crystal seems to be April the 9th.

Also I concur. Clown-shirted Chris might not have been much of a looker, but he wasn't that bad. A bit of propper hygiene and a better haircut (and maybe even going with a bit of beard) and he might actually have been quite presentable.
Current Tomgirl-Chris just... doesn't work (no pun intended). The hair is a mess and let's just not speak about him trying to wear makeup.
I can't imagine there's a woman who would be willing to go out with him and that's not even taking into account that Chris is unlikely to actually do the first step of talking to someone (and it's even less likely to work, even if he tried).

It would have also helped if he had tried to find a job with his degree, though I doubt most employers would have been willing to hire someone who took literally six years just to obtain his A.A.

With how desperate he's becoming, I'm predicting that this is the prelude to the Lenore Saga (in which he succumbs to the delusion that he's either his own Sweetheart or that he's Crystal since at this point it's the only feasible way for him to obtain either).

EDIT: Speaking of a Lenore Saga, anyone notice Bill Dauterive and Dale Gribble share a few traits with Chris?

Bill- Overweight, balding, unhygienic, dressed in drag (at one point), obsessed with his fantasies involving a woman who has not talked to him in several years and treated him like shit yet still stubbornly believes she still cares about him and will eventually come back to him (in Bill's case his ex-wife Lenore, in Chris' case his Manchester gal pals)

Dale- Dependent manchild, delusions of grandeur, believes everyone is out to get him
