Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

That's hilarious. I ask because some of these photos are absolute Chris classics. For example, this lunchroom snapshot:

says so much about high school Chris and the relationship he had with his gal pals. I got to wondering if we know who was behind the camera or if we have a stealth photojournalist Christorian on our hands.

I have never seen that one before. I think we may have some kind of hero from the past trying to reach out to us, to warn us of what was to come.

The look on those faces..

Even if it's not what really happened, it looks like Chris in that pic just told a joke with "random access humor", and the others didn't seem to like it that much.

Is it possible Chris will become a bitter old drunk eventually? *yawn*

I'm curious about his drinking - maybe @Marvin can chime in. He seemed to be enjoying Budweiser a few years ago, and based on his boredom, gluttony, complete lack of impulse control or self-discipline and history of alcoholism in his family, I expected him to become a sloppy mess in no time, but that didn't happen.

I remember people believed he was drunk in this video, which is mentioned in the article:

Chris drank Bud only after he dumped a bunch of sugar packets into it. He has a sweet-tooth and beer just isn't something that'll please his palate. As for those fruity girly drinks remember that Chris is addicted to vidya. Money spent on booze is money not being spent on the latest DLC for Pokermons Generation Whatever. So between the two he'd rather take pokemon and a gallon of sweet tea from Micky D's than spend it on a few mojitos and fuzzy navels while sulking alone and not playing the latest sanic game at a bar.

Also, if the closest bar to him is a cash bar, he's out of there in a heartbeat.

The idea of him becoming a bitter drunken Tomgirl cougar ineffectually fishing for sweethearts 18-37 in another few few decades, with middle-aged weens and youngun trolls paying for Chris to get just drunk enough to launch into a ramble about blarms and othersuch, with the good souls here eagerly documenting it all...

Oof, could drive one to drink in and of itself :( . Good thing you're probably right that he'd rather chug fanta while marathoning tv re-runs rather than drink the hard stuff among real people.

He's so.. uncharacteristically calm in that video.

"I am... working on it." is one of the funniest things I've heard in a Chris video. The delivery is perfect.

It's these small, bizarrely brilliant moments that caused me to follow this bizarre little man almost weekly for close to seven years. Chimping out in public is amusing for a month or two, but the small moments will stick with you for years. They're like John Waters, Wes Anderson or sometimes David Lynch movies condensed down to just a few seconds in front of a PlayStation Eye.

This. It's comparable to the hooker. Chris liked sex with the hooker, but $200-a-go liked? Probably not.

Plus I can't imagine it'd be all that easy for him to hide his drinking from Barb.

In true Chris fashion he was banned from his Church I believe.
Yeah the new pastor suspended him for a month or two a couple of years ago, and then Chris wrote that letter, and that was the last we ever heard about him at church.
Chris isn't currently banned from church, he's just not willing to piss money away on going every week.

I am given to understand that he has started attending again, due to some facts uncovered in the 2014 Anonymous Sweetheart saga.

It makes sense. He's shown he just buys things for the sensation of buying things (i.e. the $800-ish of DLC he doesn't have the game for on PSN). And I don't think he places much value on real-world items, beyond those things that are directly relevant to his interests.

I do wonder when the last time he visited a dentist was, though.
