Why does Chris remain unemployed? Doesn't a low paying job pay more than the money he receives from the government? He likes McDonald's, couldn't he operate the register there?
Eh, probably not. If he got a part time job, say, 20 hours a week at $8.50*, he'd be making just under $700 a month. That was less than his tugboat was back even before it got raised. And if he was trying to go for full time, or close to it, it'd be $1360 a month, which is just barely over what I think he's getting now.

And for most people, and especially Chris, unless you have a specific goal or something, it's not necessarily raw money that matters, but a money to effort ratio. Someone could work their ass off and make an extra $200, but it might not be worth it.

Plus Barb wouldn't let Chris get rid of the tugboat, I'm sure. She might let him get a part time job though.

* And I don't really know what mcdonalds cashiers make, but I think (based on a quick google) they might actually start at minimum wage, so it'd be less than this.

Yeah but someone made the point to Chris, I think it was Jackie but I don't remember exactly, anyways one of the gal pals, that if he worked he could still get his :tugboat: and would get more money overall by combining the two. The system is designed like this to reduce perverse incentives.
Oh definitely. I think this would come back to the "is it really worth the extra effort" question and it obviously isn't to Chris. Nowadays money isn't his biggest worry, anyway. He worries about trolls, high school (and the girlfriend high school will get him eventually) and Barb making his life extra shitty.

He's Autistic so he doesn't have to work.

Does Chris care when Borb buys him knock off legos and shit or can he not tell the difference?

I remember that there was a leak of Chris related photos, and among them there were pictures of loads of newspapers littering Chris's room. I can't seem to find those pictures, can somebody give me a link to them? Can somebody also tell me why Chris hoards newspapers in his room?

When you-know-who had his outburst, someone should have claimed to be the real one and him to be Ian Brandon Anderson. I'd have done it but that whole thing happened while I was asleep. >_>

This seems like one of the things Chris would use his 'Sperg skills to identify as not TRUE and HONEST.

Here he is getting counterfeit Legos at Christmas. Just look at that facial expression:

Weird facial expressions are nothing uncommon with Chris. If he can't tell the difference between two women of different races, he'd probably struggle to spot a fake Lego product too.

How does Chris feel about doctors? During the Ivy saga he went to one over :briefs: . According to Ivy he wanted a pill to stop the problem but the doc told him to eat a better diet and exercise. Did he once think doctors were magical people who can fix a problem only to realize good health actually requires some work and they're isn't a pill for everything *SIGH*

Considering that's how doctors are generally depicted in the media, I'd say yes.

Did he once think it?

With one possible exception (Bob), he probably still believes in the all-curing awesome-pill.

Has Chris ever seen the ocean?
Probably.

Judging by the standard set during his hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a mid-size lake counts as an ocean.

Too bad Chris doesn't know about panacea. If he did, he'd be down at the pharmacy demanding the DANG DIRTY TROLLS give him a pill that would cure all his ills, not knowing that panacea is as mythical as the Greek god of the same name.

He'd end up driving to McDonald's. You know, force of habit.

That's true. Chris thinks the apple dippers cure all his ills. I wonder how his body handles having some fresh fruit in his system after all the junk he's eaten.

I wonder why Chris hasn't talked about the X-Box One.

He has nothing to really say about it. Years ago he would have "advertised" that people get the PS4 and avoid the Xbone, but now he has no one he wants to talk to about it.

I'm sure he intends to get a quad. I'm equally sure he has no actual plan to save money for it, he's just assuming he'll have the means come November.

That's the one aspect of Chris I can of envy, getting free money. Like if I could have enough for a PS4 later this year that would be pretty sweet. Of course that comes at the price of being a useless lump so I say it's an even trade.

It's not worth it, bro.
