Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

So Chris has been missing the last few weeks thanks to the PS4 - We know he's got a lot of Little Big Planet and Ratchet and Clank to play, he even platinum'd one of them...
Could you imagine if he streamed it? If he just moved his finger to the 'share' button on the controller - Why does he refuse to do that?
I'm sure we pray for the day he presses it by mistake.

On the scale of autism, he's really not all that autistic, compared to low functioning non-verbal autistic people who need to wear helmets to avoid injuring themselves because they punch themselves in the head for stimulation.
Be thankful for that, or else we wouldn't even be here.

What would happen if Barb actually took Chris' PS4 away to get some money needed for bills? Would Chris just whine and beg people online for a replacement, or would he go Norman Bates on her?

Doesn't seem likely to happen. It seems like Barb pesters Chris for money, and doesn't actually steal his stuff. If selling something important to Chris came up he could put his foot down and look for alternative sources of money.

It'd be interesting.

I was watching a Theroux doc on the Atsimu's today. The severely retarded act out with an orangutan strength tard rage when their routine is disrupted in some minuscule way.

Chris however, being a High Functioning Autist is cowed and susceptible to Barbs manipulation. And as far Christory would suggest is incapable of presenting any physical threat.

I'd still like to play Americas favourite game and kick him to see if he did eventually ape out, though I'd think it'd look more like a lemur than an orang.

That was a great doc.

You mean he'd shout "I'M WORKING ON IT" , upload a 2 minute e-begging video to Youtube and immediately go back to playing his PS4, right?
Sure.

I wasn't suggesting it would be done in a suave or impressive way. I just think it is unlikely that a set of events would occur that would lead to Chris giving up something particularly important to him.

The PS4 is an expensive toy, but selling it wouldn't net a ton of money. I would assume that Chris would cycle through a lot of options before selling it.

It would take a particularly odd set of events where the few hundred dollars he could raise from the PS4 were life and death, and there were no other options (e.g. downgrading a car) he could use to raise that sort of money. And by insider reports, Chris' financial troubles, while not non-existent, are not particularly dire.

The other scenario that would satisfy your conditions would be Barb insisting on him selling it, somewhat unnecessarily. I don't see this as particularly likely. As I understand it, Barb's badgering him is for money in general, without particulars. And she hasn't seemed to have a particularly strong opinion about Chris' vidya playing. If anything, she seems to vaguely support it.

Yea I agree. It doesn't make any sense for Chris to sell his valuable possessions. He's not in a situation where he has no income. He just has a limited income, but still it is consistent. Chris's tugboat is enough to take care of his basic needs. It runs out when he buys too many toys, or other wasteful spending. So what does he need money for? More toys and stuff. So it doesn't make sense to sell toys you have and want at a fraction of their value, so you can buy only a few replacement toys.

Now there is an argument that any sane person would probably be motivated to sell some of their junk, for other reasons than needing money. I mean chris's room where he keeps all those toys is a clutter, he's clearly overcollected (I'm sure he doesn't see it that way). He just needs some more room. Also most average gamers don't hold on to games forever, after they tire of them they trade them in at a fraction of their value, because they know they'll never play them again and therefore aren't worth that much to them and are taking up space. I don't think Chris would do this with either his toys or his vidya, because he likes to hold on to stuff. He's not quite as bad as barb, but he does seem to have an addiction.

Having said all that I don't think it makes sense for him (or anyone) to start selling his toys for money. He goes broke cuz he buys expensive toys. It's a better solution to just without an expensive toy purchase that month than it is for him to sell old toys so he can afford the latest toy purchase. Here we just have Chris complaining that his spending addiction is interrupted for a few days until his tugboat can come in.

So, unless you're a normie, you've probably heard how we're in the bronze age of virtual reality porn.

Now, we know Chris isn't exactly the sex maniac a handful of his (troll engineered) videos and awkward moments of Christory would lead us to believe initially. But he's still a sexually repressed dude with a strong penchant for escapism (see vidya, cwcville).

Do you think Chris will jump in the world of virtual china as soon as it becomes affordable (by tugboat standards) ?

This fucking kills me. Chris could pull in a few honest dollars streaming with near zero effort and still won't do it even with MasterDisaster's help.

It kills me too, but perhaps he still has some shred of common sense not to.
