Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Discussing the Kacey/Liquid saga with a friend the other day. Something we were a bit confused about:

Did Chris initiate contact with Kacey pretending to be Liquid? Why? Was he trying to "steal" Kacey away? How did it evolve into Kacey accepting Chris over Liquid?

The whole affair is a bit confusing to go through when disecting the calls.

Yeah, pretty much.

I wonder that too! Quoting the CWCki:

Call 3: After revealing the shocking truth that he is actually a fat creepy manchild, Kacey is disgusted and calls Chris up to yell at him. Chris pleads innocence and attempts to explain how HE is the victim here and Kacey is stupid for not understanding that.

Call 4: A few weeks later, Chris and Kacey appear to be on relatively good terms with each other (...)

What happened between those calls? How the fuck do you fix that? (Well, this is Chris, so he'll believe pretty much anything he's told)

This illustrates how Chris has absolutely no fucking clue about human relationships...stating the obvious here (unless you are Chirs, of course) but If you ever pretend to be some girl's (wich you dont even KNOW, wich makes it even creepier) boyfriend, gleefully talk about how are you gonna cum on her tits, and try to lure her to your house for godbear knows what....after she finds out, there is no fucking chance in hell of becoming friends. Unless she is a troll, of course.

I'm watching The Big Bang Theory on TV atm - and I just heard Sheldon refer to Leonard's girlfriend Penny, plus her friends Amy and Bernadette, as "your gal-pals"! Given that Sheldon is supposed to be the most autistic man on earth, I wonder if the writers were inspired by Chris' use of the term? I mean, has anyone here ever heard it used elsewhere, or is it an ORIGINAL CWC-ism?

In either my Interpersonal Communication or Intercultural Communications class the instructor used the term gal pals to refer to women and their girlfriends and I could barely stop myself from busting out laughing.

So yes, nonautistic people use it.

It wasn't until today that I realized the Coleslaw emails are pretty fucked up…on Coleslaw's part.
He ends 3 emails with his autistic half brother with a variation of "Tell me when your dad dies so I can celebrate!"

The world is full of people who make similar statements. It's also full of people who make those statements who then go radio-silent after said death.
It's sad, I would never tell some I hope their father dies, especially when said person is "special" and probably has little understanding of how bad that'd be until it happens. I don't care how messed up Cole's father situation is, you don't trash another's father, and you sure as shit don't tell them you wish death on him.
Fuck Cole, he's a pretentious, unsympathetic, hipster.

Nah, gal-pals existed as a term for a while. If the writers knew him (unlikely) they probably wouldn't try to reference him, think of the media shitstrom if people found out they got inspiration from following the misadventures of Chris.

I've been on a MASSIVE .hack// bender lately, and pondered why Chris never got into .hack//. It has most of the joys that come with playing an MMO, but without anything as stressful as dealing with real people.

Here's something I was wondering that I wasn't able to find in a topic search, (unsurprising since it absolutely doesn't warrant an entire thread)..

Has anyone ever tallied up the total running time of all Chris's videos? I'm curious as to just how much content he generated before finally figuring out that he should stop. I'm totally willing to tally this up for myself, but I figured I'd ask in case it's already been done. Please forgive my shitty search skills If this question has already been asked.
I wonder this as well, i have been in serious thinking about atleast try to make a someway funny but allthough seriously made documentary about him, not that i think i would finish it, or do it as good as intended, but how to structure a doucmentary have been in my interest for some time (amateurish filmmaker) and Chris would be a good ground to try it out with, but the time to find and download all seems so dull (don't know about any super smooth youtube converters either)

But i have a question too! Allthough i probably just missed it: when will the results of the Lego contest be released? Probably keep my heads up for some BAAWING and (:_(

Where exactly did the MANOS cwc-ism come from? I feel like I've seen it's origin at some point, I just can't remember where.

A couple of forums ago, I posted a link to some archived PVCC posts (I had a different username then). These posts started a lot of discussion, especially surrounding Chris's bizarre relationship with his mother. I vaguely remember this ad being cited in support of an (emotionally, at least) incestuous relationship. After a quick search, I think part of the argument was that in 'I am Alive', Chris addresses the ads that claim he's dead, but doesn't mention or react to that particular ad.
How do you get to archived PVCC posts?

I saw this episode some time ago, and yelped out loud when Sheldon spoke that line! :D Alas, Google told me that it's not an original CWC-ism, but a weird coincidence.

Chris's story about the ghost of Christopher living in his heterochromia eye and occasionally possessing him, was that ripped off from anywhere? If not, it's probably one of the more original things he's come up with.

It sounds a bit like the concept of Stephen King's The Dark Half, but there's no way of knowing if Chris saw that movie (though he's clearly seen Carrie so it's possible).

It's not a CWCism, it's a filter.

Manos is a mst3k reference to the horrible movie: "Manos: the _hands_ of fate".

fixed. because no one ever links the non mst3k version

okay, i just spent the last greater than 30 minutes adding up all content generated by Chris in video format. (i included the sega sweepstakes since Chris himself put that out to the world in his "Yep, i'm on TV" DVD.)

Not counting any errors or omissions on my part, the total runtime of Chris's video footprint from the "Sonic the Hedgehog Watch & Win Sweepstakes" through "CWC Lego Manchester High School." (334 videos in all) weighs in at 22 hours, 13 minutes, and 55 seconds.

His longest video was "C.W.C.'s SlideShow of Photographs, Art, and Comics" (1 hour, 34 minutes, 12 seconds)
His Shortest video was "I am STRAIGHT" ( 8 seconds)
The Average Length of a Chris video is almost exactly 4 minutes. (4.0036767782 minutes, for you spergs who require precise numbers.)
