He did do that psychological examination back in the Mary Lee Walsh days that basically said he was autistic but not crazy.

They recommended outside treatment but the Borb weren't having any of that.

There's lots more "normal" people that way more nuts than he is.

I know this is a joke thread, but for the benefit of any new readers: Chris does go to therapy occasionally (with a worthless hugbox kind of therapist) That's where he picked up the bits of "therapy-ese" he sometimes sprinkles into his word salads.

I guess the answer is because therapy costs money and is for something beneficial, unlike Lego or commissions from a girl who would never sleep with him in a million years.

Don't forget he also got court ordered therapy after the blue arms GameStop incident. It helped a little since he did begin to mellow out afterwards and talked lots about empathy but he's probably got all he needed to get from therapy in his own mind, so unless it's court ordered again, I can't see him going back

I love having different topics of discussion on here so I'm not doing anything with this thread but don't be surprised if it does get moved to Random Thoughts and Questions Cat.

Honestly it's probably just purely out of disinterest. Why would he even feel the need to go? It's not that he's too lazy to do it when he doesn't see a reason to ever need to. I doubt money is an issue either, I'm sure whatever healthcare he has is accepted by local therapists, and if that's the case all he'll need to do is pay an extremely small co-pay, a couple bucks most likely.

As someone who has had therapy before, it's not really that easy, from a psychological perspective nor from a financial one.

And mostly one would have to admit that they have a problem and honestly I don't think that Chris would

Chris's ancient parents have always had trust issues with doctors and are the type of people that probably live under the dated notion that you only see a shrink if you're totally batshit insane (remember, they grew up in an era where electro-shock therapy was common practice); they're definitely part of the "too proud to see a shrink" mentality and probably view shrinks as frivolous luxuries for the weak.

Because psychiatry is an insidious scam to keep people from unlocking their full potential as operating thetans. Chris should instead seek out a free, totally confidential Dianetics stress test by a trained and licensed auditor of Scientology.

I think he needs antipsychotic drugs... and mix antipsychotics up with sertraline... it would make him more mental stable.

Fuck's sake, talking about OTs in front of the preclears. Why don't you tell them about Xenu while you're at it? Report to the RPF.

On topic, I think Chris is, weirdly, too happy to get therapy. At this point he's learnt to ignore the trolls, he has all the toys he can play with, he's a setsy anime princess and it's only a matter of time before he gets inundated by lesbians hoping to trib his unclit. He gets "stressed," but in his head that's selfish trolls who don't understand that sometimes he doesn't want to work - nothing to do with him. If you asked him if he'd ever thought of getting therapy, he'd probably be confused as to why you think he needs it.

As Chris refuses to change for the better, therapy would essentially be paid friendship. As far as paid friendships go, he'd rather hire a hooker again.
