Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

What if Barb died instead of Bob and he was still alive today?

Definite results of Bob living and Barb dying:
- Chris's house wouldn't have burned down considering how the hoarding got so bad after Bob died that they were using the bathroom as a kitchen substitute
- Bob would've at least attempted to make Chris get his shit together. How successful such endeavours would be are another matter entirely
- Chris would still identify as a man if for no other reason than because of the fact that he's afraid of his father's disapproval of his tomgirl tendencies.
- This would also mean that Chris wouldn't be free to liberally butter himself up with black market menopause ointment... or slice open his taint because he thinks he's growing a vagina.
- Chris wouldn't have tried killing Michael Snyder considering how it was a joint effort between Barb and Chris in the first place
- Bob's pension, combined with his Social Security and Chris's disability payments would starve off any financial troubles the household would have for a time considering how Bob wasn't a hoarder and had some sense with how to handle money. Given that, Chris would have no reason to e-beg on YouTube and Patreon.

Possible outcomes of Bob living and Barb dying:
- Barb's death would probably have even more of an impact on Chris. Bob's death sparked a major turning point, however Barb was always the one who would praise Chris on his nonexistent intelligence and his nonexistent good looks. Let's not forget that she was always his biggest enabler. Whether or not Chris would've spiralled into depression or lash out in other ways is to be determined, however.

- Bob's relationship with Chris would probably go sour extremely quickly. Though Bob was also guilty of enabling Chris's behaviour, Barb was always the one who actively coddled and manipulated Chris, especially toward the end of Bob's own lifetime. Bob's death functioned as a "removal" of restrictions on Chris's life, so it stands to reason that Barb's death in place of Bob's would mean that Chris would have his freedoms restricted.

- Without the house burning down, weens and a-logs probably wouldn't have rummaged through his garbage to find old documentation. Though that would change if Bob demanded that Chris clean up the house, in which case weens/a-logs would probably have a field day digging through the trash to find old documentation among other such things when they start dumping shit out on the curb.

- We probably wouldn't have found out about Chris's disturbing relationship with his mother the way we did, considering how the house burning down gave Barb and Chris a reason to share the same goddamn bed and spoon occasionally. With that said, Chris's tendency to give out unwanted information about his personal life at that point in time would mean we'd probably have other revelations about other unknown aspects of his life... really, it's only a matter of time if that was the case.

Questions that may always remain unanswered either way:
- Would Chris still blame Megan for a parent's death over 5 years after their fallout?
- Would Chris still mace a GameStop employee over the Sonic Boom shit?
- Would Chris still go on ebay, Etsy, and other such websites and sell shoddy, homemade Sonichu merchandise?
- Would Bob truly be the lesser of the two evils? He's certainly more competent than Barb, but we never quite knew what Bob was like if left up to his own devices.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

That sounds pretty good but a couple issues I have are:

- Chris would still identify as a man if for no other reason than because of the fact that he's afraid of his father's disapproval of his tomgirl tendencies.

Chris went tomgirl when Bob was still alive. Bob strongly disapproved of it, but it didn't stop Chris. Therefore it probably wouldn't have stopped him from going full trans either.

- Bob's pension, combined with his Social Security and Chris's disability payments would starve off any financial troubles the household would have for a time considering how Bob wasn't a hoarder and had some sense with how to handle money. Given that, Chris would have no reason to e-beg on YouTube and Patreon.

The financial situation may have been better but that wouldn't have stopped the e-begging because the e-begging has nothing to do with paying bills and everything to do with toy money. Any time Chris says it's to pay bills he's lying.

Up until mid 2014, he was only crossdressing when Borb (and quickly just Barb) weren't around. It seems Barb came to grudgingly allow him to crossdress full time and call himself a lesbian, while Bob, on the other hand, probably wouldn't have due to his racism and homophobia.

Barb also strongly disapproved of it, forcibly cutting his hair, telling him she thought he was going to kill her and generally being a total bitch about the whole thing, and he still did it. So I agree that Bob would probably not have done any better.

True, but Barb is in on the e-begging and apparently dips fairly freely into Chris' bank account. Bob was always much more financially responsible - for instance, garnishing Chris' tugboat to pay off his credit card debts. I reckon he'd have put a stop to it, or at least forced Chris to be more covert about it.

So just out of curiosity here, what's the most depressing saga for you upon retrospect?

idk about you guys, but my money's on the whole ordeal surrounding Megan. Like shit man, all she did was try to be nice to an autistic dude and she ends up getting poked, prodded, felt up, and found out the autistic guy drew porn of her to prevent himself from doing "something stupid" a couple of years later. It's not even like she was able to cut a deal with ED just like The Wallflower did with CWCki, all the changes were reverted any time that an edit was made to omit her. The worst part is that she probably won't ever be able to leave his shadow. Shit man, imagine getting friend and message requests on Facebook from weens asking the same damn questions about Chris she's probably heard for the last 8-9 years?

***

Also, is anyone else getting a 502 error on the CWCki or is that just something on my end?

Based in part from all this pony nonsense he's gotten into lately with 'Night Star' I'd like to throw out my theory about just what exactly is happening here.

As long time followers of the Chandler know, originally Chris has had a fixation on eventually fathering a child - specifically a daughter who is basically a female version of himself and named Crystal Weston Chandler, in some kind of autistic manner of trying to name the kid after himself since he loves his initials so much.

Now, when he started doing this lesbian tranny tomgirl stupidity, it seemed divorced from this crap about having a child as all he seemed obsessed with was scissoring another girl in the most cringe-inducing conceptual way possible. And of course that is still in play given how obvious it is he was totally open to the idea of doing that act with Doopie despite every denial made.

However, some time back, Chris posted a news story about how a transwoman was able to give birth to a baby, which if applied to him is squick-inducing enough but suggests his thoughts had once again turned to wondering about producing Crystal.

Now, this Night Star business has himself pretty much turning himself into some retarded pony OC, which is significant because the way he represented his future daughter way back in the comics? She was, inexplicably, a pony.

Now that the Doopie business pretty much wrapped up and shut Chris out from his dreams yet again, is it possible he's basically trying to become what he now wishes his daughter would be?

Couldn't he just name himself Crystal, then? Or is he actually capable of realizing that's a bit too obvious

Someone posted a thread that just got deleted, asking if Chris is becoming his fictional daughter.

Chris is trapped in an eternal delusion, and it doesn't help that his only friends have been lies or people who bailed on him at the very moment he relapsed into a childlike state of mind, which his parents did little to nothing about. Bob gets credit where it's due, but honestly I'd go as far as to say he was whipped by Barb.

Chris is at the stage where he is entering a midlife crisis that the average male his age would undergo. He realizes he won't get laid, won't get a girlfriend, won't have a daughter, and won't move out. His bridges are burned, his ties are cut, all he has are the hoard, the animals, and his mother who may kick the bucket at a moment's notice.

So his only course of action, which has always been his only option to him all his adult life, is to lock himself away in his imaginative reality. His safe space, unironically, is his world of ponies and Sonic. It's his only escape, and the only thing that can make him happy. Bronycon gave him that euphoric pleasure he was beginning to lack, and because of his little vacation, he is high as shit off joy.

But because of Bronycon, he now has people that enabled his delusional behavior, which is unhealthy at his age. Coupled with his autism, he now sees it as alright, and is now at a point where he thinks nothing he does is wrong. He has written Crystal in as his sister, then as a daughter, and gradually as his psyche deteriorates, the two have begun to fuse. In a weird incestual way, or maybe even dysphorically, he is becoming the "twin".

So yeah, he's becoming Crystal, but as for who Crystal even is, it's not specific. Crystal is his mirror self, his daughter, and his sister. Christine is Crystal, and Chris is Christine. If that latest comic has given any insight, it shows just how fucked up his mind really is, and how distorted reality is to him.

tl;dr: :autism:, and Chris is going to be in textbooks one day

Couldn't he just name himself Crystal, then? Or is he actually capable of realizing that's a bit too obvious

I think it's just the fine line between his identity and the dream that is Crystal preventing this. He's been Chris for so long that he basically rides the tranny train all to shout to the heavens that he's no longer a male.

The problem with simply becoming Crystal is that this would dilute how she is, admittedly, his conceptualization of his perfect child. Because by becoming Crystal, Chris would thus make it so she was a dirty male who transgendered.

Additionally, because she appeared in the comic, as we know Chris treats everything that happened in the comic as actually having happened in the real, physical sense - not helped by him simply espousing that ALL of reality is a cartoon to justify this mindset he's never gotten over. He may simply not rename himself to Crystal because in his mind, Crystal is something 'basically promised' and so she is to exist at some point in the future, meaning Chris can't rationally justify himself becoming her...despite basically being what he imagines her being in all but name at this point.

So, uh, I noticed everyone thought it was funny when Chris said he named Crystal after the illustrious metal, but, I don't get why it's so funny???
