Did Bob or Barb ever use the internet? It just occured to me that if they didn't use it they could have canceled the service at any time so Chris could have at least not used it at home (though he could have still used it at the library/college/restaurant/etc.)

I wouldn't be surprised if Bob used it in the early days of the internet. I doubt Chris would have shown any interest in the internet to begin with if Bob didn't dabble in it, being the world-conscious man that he was. Bob's real mistake was getting broadband.

Okay, so what if Bob was still around?

Understandably he'd be on his very last leg, but what would Chris be like or Barb?

Would Chris run both his parents over or would they still hold him down from doing ...uh, his thing whatever?

Chris will not go full tranny.
The Financhu Crisis would have started much later or never happen.
The Idea Guy saga would have never happened, Bob would have questioned Chris's behavior almost immediately.
For conventions, either Bob will accompany Chris or refuse let him go depending on financial conditions.
Given Bob's personality on the phone, we might have gotten more insight behind the scenes, giving us more info on trolls like the Teen Troon Squads.

Would Chris accept the full scholarship in university (M.I.T., Yale, Harvard, CalArts, etc.), or he'll just decline and keep e-begging?

On one hand, it might appeal to his desire to relive his highschool days

On the other, if he realizes it might involve any work or effort from him whatsoever, he would immediately and fiercely decline and insist he needs all the time he can get to do art or some bullshit.
