Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I guess because autists often or usually have no friends - because autism alienates - so the only real exposure to how "normal" people act is filtered through mass media?

(and of course autists can struggle with distinguishing fact from fiction)

This, pretty much.

Plenty of autists can and do have friends, but not necessarily on a deep personal level. The problem is that normies rely on intuitive empathy to interact with others, and autists can't do that, so any friendships they have come from basically carefully crafted performance skills. Autists who befriend other autists develop a negotiated middle ground that can be completely incomprehensible to normies, so their behavior seems even weirder in these scenarios sometimes.

The most successful autists are ones that get exposure being a fly on the wall to social interactions, and can study how people are behaving. Even then, they can come off as "fake" sometimes when they try to emulate how other people are behaving.

Ever played the game QWOP? It's a physics game where you have to learn to run by controlling individual limbs. In real life people don't run like that -- they just instinctively know how to run and use subconscious feedback from their limbs to do it. QWOP is to running in the same way how autists have to handle social situations. They can get get pretty good at it eventually with enough intellect and enough practice, but it's a rage-inducing struggle, and it will never be quite as smooth as people who just can instinctively socialize.

Incidentally, and I have nothing to back this up, but I've wondered if this is also why a lot of autists run with extremely strange gaits. It's been frequently documented but I've never seen a study that managed to come up with a reasonable hypothesis as to why.

I've said it before, but autism really does mess up so many things, which is why I think it's called a "pervasive developmental disorder".

So it's funny how autists may proudly claim that autism is "the next level of evolution" - as if evolution works like in Pokemon, and as if autism is beneficial overall.

I think it's because autism messes up physical coordination and reflexes - yet another symptom of the 'tism.

It's also likely why Chris uses that freakish pen grip, which seems to be why he draws like crap and can't improve drawing skill.

Except autists (but not Chris) can get *VERY* good at stuff like video games, or in some forms of unusual physical activity. My guess is that it's because those are learned skills rather than innate ones. Autism seems to screw up the base install of the human operating system but, in at least some, it doesn't seem to prevent the ability for new software to be added.

Chris uses that pen grip because it's the first grip he tried that worked. Once he had a solution to the problem of gripping pens, he never bothered with finding a better way. Likely people tried to teach him, but Chris doesn't listen.

This is the same reason why his art never improves. It's not because of his grip (even amputees with hooks for hands can draw better than Chris), but because once Chris reaches a (low) level of proficiency at something, he deems it "good enough" and never bothers improving.

There are a lot more things wrong with Chris than just autism. In fact autism isn't the source of most of his many character flaws, it's just his go-to excuse.

Some people on the spectrum have some insane focus ability, never losing interest in something and they can almost non stop consume content from that one thing, this makes them incredibly skilled at it, I have a friend with a minecraft world going back atleast 8 years and he's been working almost non-stop on it. Ask him to socialize and he breaks down, he can't do it.

Chris has bad software, no patch can fix his brain.

Can you name any fictional character that is powerful enough to be capable of defeating comic Chris and the chaotic combo?
(character has to be better written than sonichu, so no empress Theresa or Rey Skywalker)

Johnny Joestar. We're dealing with the character who travels in multiple dimensions and respawns when he dies.

Either a crazy powerful male character like One Punch Man or a main Jojo villain or an attractive female character with powers to help trick Chris.

Poison Ivy would be especially good at this since he’d never be able to resist a kiss from a lesbian.

Comic Chris was defeated surprisingly easily a few times early in the comic and had to be saved by his sister or his Sonichus. Even mall security could kick his ass. But he went full Mary Sue after the trolling started. By the end he was practically godlike so it would have to be someone like Galactus.

I agree on Poison Ivy. Anyone who can do mind control. One of those characters who can cause someone’s heart to stop.

I’d read Deadpool vs Sonichu. For kicks.

Legion; not the faggot tv series version but the comic version.
It's legit what Chris larps as, but actually pretty entertaining and a good read if you never have.

What is Bella doing nowadays? Like surely she didn't go fully offline; does anyone know what she's been up to or if she's had any irl repercussions?
