Unlike SSI, SSDI does not get revoked by incarceration -- it can only be suspended.
It's still a pain in the ass to get it restarted.
Thus, no matter how long Chris spends in jail/prison post-conviction, getting it turned on again just requires sending a form to notify the SSA that he is back out.
You need a written form from the jail / prison stating your time and day of release before you can apply for your SSDI benefits to be turned back on. That has to be obtained in person - they don't just hand it to you when you leave, so Chris would need someone to take him to the jail, find the right office, and help him submit that request.
Even if Chris does manage to get everything turned back on, it could take up to a month before its actually processed.
(if it's even necessary).
It's necessary. You could take the newly released Chris into the SSA office, point right at him and say, "Of course he's out of jail - he's sitting right there," and they wouldn't even look at him without the form.
No tard home will settle for just SSDI.
I never said they would, but if there's tugboat to be had, they're not going to leave it tuned off, or leave it for Chris to spend.
They'll have to get him on HCVs too.
Some also get side grants based on the number of residents, etc. There's all sorts of funding paths for tard homes quite apart from tugboats and vouchers. Regardless, Chris' monthly tugboat (or the majority of it), will be going to the tard home, not for "some lego". The tard home will make sure of it.
But as I've pointed out before, Chris *CAN* pay the mortgage since HCVs are also good for mortgage payments,
Can is not the same as will. Given the choice between responsibly paying the mortgage or buying "some lego" (then begging the internet) which will Chris choose every time?
Eventually the bank will get tired of dealing with him.
Chris off his meds isn't so bad that a tard home can't handle it.
Wait. Chris is on meds? I was unaware of that. I can't think of what he'd be on. Maybe antidepressants?
Even so, Chris won't fuck up his placement in the same way an off-meds schiz would. He'll fuck it up in his own special Chris way. There's no predicting how he'll do it, just that he inevitably will fuck up.
What was the end game of trolls? Was it to get Chris to never find someone to be with? Or was it just to get him to get rid of the SSDI and find a job?
Which trolls do you mean? The original miscreants etc. or the later crops of weens?
Early on it wasn't so much trolling as environmental enrichment, with the unstated overall goal of teaching Chris some self awareness while laughing at him along the way. That didn't work out so well, but only because Chris is impervious to self awareness.
Were the Manchester High gal pals really aware of Chris's antics and weren't really his friends? Or were they trolls pretending to be them?
They were paid by Bob. That says it all.
I think, with no hard evidence whatsoever, that things would be different in a way we can’t really speculate on today had Chris not been discovered then.
Even without the trolls and weens, Chris would still have ended up a motherfucker, but it might not have been discovered.
