Chris most likely looks like a total sperg to the average person, we have been desensitized to his behaviour.

The court is also well desensitized to people like Chris. Believe it or not, he is not the only loony who ends up on the docket.

Wouldn't surprise me if they are going to evaluate him in the hospital and have the outcome of those tests brought up in the next trial.

If he's there for the full six months, it will be for more than a mere evaluation. It's either for multiple evals to prep him for an eventual tard home placement, or he's there for treatment to try and get him competent for his own defense (and good luck with that).

Hope we can one day see those evaluations,

HIPAA medical privacy law says no. We will never see those evaluations. Nor do we really need to. What could they reveal that we haven't already sussed out?

The impression I’ve gotten is that this is a much more extreme course of action than people seem to appreciate here

Potentially. The timing is still odd.

Ever since the taint wound I’ve worried that Chris would hurt himself badly. I know he’s probably too dumb and isolated to figure out how to do it in jail, but still :heart-empty:. It’s not something I want to see happen.

He's been fucking himself in his often used arse for quite a while now

im not sure he'd hurt himself that badly without outside influence. he seems to have pretty good self preservation (selfish) traits, so i don't see him offing himself anytime soon if it's any consolation

No one influenced him to cut open his taint.

It’s like every once in a while, Chris gets a burst of energy and does something awful of his own volition.

very true, luckily this time he doesn't have access to alcohol. might keep him at bay till the medical officials can get to him

do you reckon any doctors will inquire about the wound?

They're much more likely to inquire about psychological help

Do you mean from a psychological perspective? I hope so. It’s one of the more disturbing Chris episodes.

On a totally different note, someone posted a quote from the Father Call and Chris mentions getting a rash on his neck from something. Anyone know what he’s talking about?
Chris: And so they tortured me as such. I even ended up with a rash on my neck from that thing, among other things!

Hard to say since Chris was likely lied to about everything that transpired with that incident, and by the time of the Father Call, it was the end all be all defining catastrophe of his childhood.

My guess is Chris didn't change clothes very often as a kid, and eventually developed a rash on his neck where the dirty collar was irritating his skin.

Over time, he conflated that rash with being caused by the incident, because he grew up being told that incident was the source of all his educational troubles, when it was probably what triggered the school to take notice that something about him wasn't right.

Remember Chris believes that the people involved that day went as far as to manipulate the real estate market against his parents to keep them from moving or something. He's insane.

Doubtless, but is he trying to claim they made him wear a dog collar or something?

Usually they say "good enough" after the period of treatment. It can be farcical sometimes. Still, the defense attorney is meant to get the best legal outcome for their client possible. If keeping them in treatment is advantageous for this, they'll do it. If it's disadvantageous they'll sign off on their client's "improvement".

Unless the person is completely looney tunes, in which case they stay in hospital for ages until they finally make the move for civil commitment and the case is just quietly dropped. Chris is not (at least as far as we know) crazy enough for this to happen. Still, Chris has surprised us before.

This deserves its own post.

This.

Chris might have sperged out, but it's also possible he's doing the Chris version of a hunger strike or the like. It's also a lot easier to schedule and conduct placement interviews / evaluations in a hospital than a jail, so there's that possibility. They might also have simply been running out of beds at the jail, and Chris was the best (favorite) candidate to kick over to the hospital where he's someone else's problem.

The fact that he was transferred right at the end of the month to be ready at the hospital March 1st makes me suspect this transfer was on the hospital's schedule, not Chris'.

tl;dr: I wouldn't be too quick to assume Chris is flying over the cuckoo's nest without more information.
Are we getting the "Chris eats his own shit in a padded room" arc?

I fully understand why Null cut ties with Chris and I wholly support Null in that (poor guy has enough on his hands already), but I still would like to hear his input on the newest developments.
He honestly doesn’t care, after Chris point blank lied to his face about not having any contact or taken money illegally from Barb or something? He immediately cut any ties with him and vowed to never, (for real) help Chris in any way, shape or form ever again. It’s the best decision he could have made honestly, I’m still mind blown why he continued to help him for as long as he did honestly, guy must have a saints patient honestly.

It was after Chris lied about stealing money. I feel like Josh was ready to drop him already after the mother fucking saga, gave him the benefit of the doubt anyway because he's said crazy shit he never really did before, plus he wasn't arrested yet. But after the money theft Josh just washed his hands of Chris.

I never really got why he still continued to give him money for so long, he’s so ungrateful and never once even said thank you to the guy for being kind despite who he is. Really paints Null in a different light compared to the monstrous head of a cyberstalking website he’s stereotyped as being by cows and the general internet journalism. Makes you think. Maybe he did it out of pity, or some weird sense of obligation, I have no idea. :|
