Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

A couple months ago, I was chatting to a friend of mine who is a fairly serious journalist. Chris came up, and her opinion was it was a minefield.

Any serious piece would have to portray him largely as a victim. As much as people like to say "Chris deserves it", can you honestly see a serious news outlet talking about some autistic guy being trolled and saying he deserves it?

On the other hand Chris is a fairly unsympathetic character. And hasn't had the single super-tragic troll moment where trolls drove him to serious self-harm or something. So what's the angle?

There are also ethical concerns about validating various self-delusions Chris has.

There is also an issue of cooperation from Chris and/or Barb. Getting them involved would be a nightmare.

Writing such a story would probably fill your inbox with "Julays" and similar bullshit.

Finally, it's not an important news-story. Nothing major has come of Christory, so it's only human interest. The world is full of human interest stories, so why bother with one with all of these pitfalls.
It's a losing battle.

TIL. I went looking for the email screenshot before I posted that, and I couldn't find it anyway; not a difficult thing to fake, though.
It's one of those myths that never seem to die. There's a few other ones floating around.

Has Alec ever confirmed whether or not being in Chris's room during the Magical Potion Man video shattered his worldview forever?

I've actually thought it would be interesting to see someone make a long-form, Serial-esque podcast discussing Chris' life over eight to ten episodes. I know "It Came from the Internet" did four hour-long episodes, but even that wound up glossing over a lot of stuff. But I do think it would be difficult to do. (I'm certainly not volunteering.)

I'm not sure how the advertisements for the forums are decided but this seems like the right choice. (For the record, that's not photoshopped)

How does Chris not get extremely bored from being so lazy?

I was reading his Facebook posts on the CWCki (the Oct 2014 posts) and, apparently he was actually fulfilling orders at this time. The main content of those posts was he owed eBay a minimum of $300 for his sales and he was begging people to order some of his shit so he could pay it on time.

So he made his deadline, and according to him, fulfilled and sent out the orders (shocking, I know) and then he said he was "mostly" caught up with his orders and he was going to take a few days off, then catch up.

a few days.

A FEW DAYS?! He does nothing else but play video games! He has no job or school or any social responsibilities to tear him away from doing whatever he wants! Why do you need to take a few DAYS off to work on what should be your passion in life? I could totally understand if he had a full time job and was like "guys, I'm taking a few days off from making Sonichu stuff and I'm just gonna chill and decompress after work for a few days. Then I'll get back to your orders."

How does he not get bored? I love video games. My fiancee is very generous with the amount of time she lets me play after I get home from work, but even I get bored of playing a game after a couple hours. I also understand Chris has a shitload of games, so theoretically, he had plenty of variety to keep his gaming interesting, but as any Christorian will tell you, Chris spends all his focus on certain games. He will play games like Littlebigplanet and Modnation ad nauseum but outright ignores other games that he owns like "Bioshock" and "Transformers: Devastation" (the latter being one he should enjoy because he likes Transformers) . He's already platinum'd the new Ratchet and Clank game (it's amazing what you can accomplish when you have no responsibilities)

Also, my part that I mentioned about my fiancee leads me to a random thought that Chris would HATE having a girlfriend, especially a long-term one. Because in Chris' mind, a girlfriend will be there to give him the attention and affection and sex he wants on HIS terms and HIS schedule. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he has never even stopped to consider that a girlfriend is in fact a real person with her own thoughts and desires, and therefore, there are going to be times she's going to want to spend time with you when you just want to be left alone. For Chris, that's probably fairly often. If he ever did get a girlfriend, especially if he managed to last long enough to move in with her, he'd be miserable. Because for one, he's gonna have to get a job (or spend a good deal of his tugboat on rent and other expenses), and for two, no way in hell she's gonna let him play video games as long as he does now. (nor should she)

He does a bit more than play vidya all day. According to @Marvin and friends, Chris does actually leave the house and do stuff that doesn't end up showing on the internet. I guess he goes to the few remaining places he's not banned from, might go to church, but not sure if he still does that... In fact I dare say he only posts stuff online when he's bored, that's why he posts "people need to stop looking at their phones and get a life" and "I'm feeling dizzy, someone gimme attention :c" so much.

Also about the girlfriend thing; Yeah Chris doesn't actually care about other people in general. If you asked Chris to describe any previous "girlfriends" he would probably say something about their looks but he rarely remembers or even cares what their interests or aspirations or any of their characteristics are. Thankfully you don't have to worry to much about this because Chris' chances of getting a real TRUE and HONEST girlfriend...

I wrote a post about this earlier, but didn't post it. What I said was:

Internet people like us don't have a very accurate understanding of what Chris does with his time.

Chris' actual IRL activities are different from what we imagine. Not that those activities are particularly strenuous, of course. Chris is a big baby who'll complain about little things. But still, many people take the cwcki's hyperbole too literally. Most of of @Galvatron's criticisms still hold, just albeit in a more muted manner.

Like, if Chris had an annoying few days of Barb errands (which is every week), I could cut him a day break or so. Any more than that is probably him being lazy. Not lazy enough that I'd get terribly offended, but sure, he should get off his ass and fulfill the orders.

Also, as far as Chris doing things outside the home goes: I think many people would be surprised to find out Chris has regular social events. He might go to various events once in awhile, sperg with other nerds or trannies, and then go home, unscathed and unnoticed.

Instead, people believe that Chris must be holed up in his house all the time, because if that's not the case, he'd absolutely, positively fuck shit up and we'd hear about it on the internet. People believe Chris is a 3 ring circus of goofy antics.

Guys, we don't stalk Chris. When we hear about Chris doing something funny, it's because: we won the lottery and he actually is in real trouble (happens every few years), OR some random person caught a blurry glimpse of him in public, a la bigfoot OR a troll is talking to Chris and surreptitiously getting info on Chris (and frequently pushing Chris to do goofy things).

Remember Kacey? That's precisely what would happen if Chris had an actual girlfriend. And we've had quite a few similar harpy characters pull those kind of shticks with Chris. The verdict: Chris loves it regardless.

Chris is like the perfect battered spouse victim. He takes to it like a duck (:tomgirl:) to water.

Women are perfect, men are evil.

I am sure you have your obvious reasons to simply state "Chris does go outside habitually" and leave it at that without showing any proof, but it's hard to expect people to believe you over the internet that way. It's probably one of the big reasons despite how many times you repeat it people still believe otherwise, especially when he is arguably the most web-documented retard when it comes to his way of life.

Don't worry dude, we got plenty of evidence:

So he's defo left the house before, at least 3 times...

Chris went to therapy without people noticing, until it was slowly leaked after awhile. (And the details of that still aren't public.)

There was also Impulse. (Slowly leaked after awhile, and people had to physically go there for it.)

There was omegacon.

Chris drives around the state for amiibos sometimes. That's gone largely unnoticed. I've mentioned it in a few places, and at least one person from some part of kiwifarms spotted Chris in a weird (for Chris) part of Virginia, and their post was pretty much ignored.

Much of Chris' everyday habits only get known when people leak it.

And actually, Chris' way of life is pretty under documented. When we do have some info, like leaked emails or videos, the cwcki has long articles picking it apart, so it gets bulked up in significance. But that doesn't really address his actual day-to-day life. Maybe it's the fact that every video Chris makes is set in his bedroom, so I guess that's why people think Chris spends all his time in his bedroom. But that's just happens to be where his camera is.

Hell, I mean, the attraction sign stories themselves should clue people in that Chris goes places. Or friday's after five.

Ulillillia's day-to-day life is almost certainly much more accurately known than Chris'.

I'm not saying Chris would leave a girl for the reasons I specified in my previous post. In fact, I think it would take something of unearthly magnitude to get Chris to walk away from getting China on the regular. And I agree with you, if he got a girlfriend (a real one), he would be super happy at first just to finally have his sweetheart.

But eventually, he would become miserable, even if he wasn't willing to admit it. You don't go from doing whatever you want whenever you want to suddenly leading a responsible life, where the majority of your time during the day is not yours (counting working and sleeping)

So yeah, Chris would probably be stress-sighing ALOT, and going behind his girlfriend's back to do..whatever it is that entertains him. (for example, if she has to go to work during the day, and he does as well, I could totally see him fake-calling in sick for work just so he could stay home and catch up on his lost video game time)

You're more talking about "what if Chris had to live like a normal person". The girlfriend part is a red herring.

And yeah, Chris would hate living like a normal person. But that doesn't really have anything to do with having a girlfriend or not.

Like likewise, right now, he hates living with Barb. Not because of the "living with your mom" part, but because Barb is a tremendous bitch. Though he doesn't think Barb is at fault. It's the evil credit card companies pursuing her and stuff.
