And to be fair to Bob, Chris may have indeed had some special talent buried down there somewhere. Hell, he might even still have that talent. The problem here is that Chris has not, never had, and never will have any intention to go looking for it. For two reasons. One, he believes that talent is creating. I can give you a multitude of examples of why that is not it.
The second reason is because Chris occupies his brain with frivolities that are meant to be hobbies. Toy collecting and video games. For a responsible adult, these two things can both be rewarding hobbies that help you unwind after the stresses of adult life. For Chris? Literally like a child. He has to have every game and every toy he wants, and right now. There's no patience. So since Chris has constant stimulus around him, he probably doesn't even have an inkling that there may in fact be a useful skill he has that he could turn into a career. But even if he did know it, I'd wager that he would most likely ignore it, because performing that skill would not be as fun as playing Ratchet and Clank. Hell, not even most likely, I KNOW he would ignore it. Because we all know he already ignores the thing which he THINKS is his "gift": His artwork. He hasn't touched the Sonichu comic in forever (a metaphor bordering on literal) and he won't make his creations that people actually pay REAL money for. That is the definition of doing what you love for your job. You should LOVE making your characters. Chris evidently doesn't.
