It kills me too, but perhaps he still has some shred of common sense not to.
What bad happens to Chris if he does do it? I don't fucks with streaming shit but he could avoid comments and shit. Just be his boring ass self, play a game in real time and get money for views. Shit seems like the easiest way for Chris to make some money.

True.

Now if Chris were to interact with viewers that could frustrate him. But if I remember correctly when he livestreamed other shit he would generally ignore the comments section.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Chris to think he's been streaming this whole time. Like, he hits the wrong button to start streaming, plays for an hour or so while narrating into the void, then feels relieved that the commenters didn't give him any trouble today.

How would one go about contacting Chris, in a way that he'll actually answer ?
Meet him in real life, get a contact through someone else who has met him in real life, or buy something from him. (and with the last one, you'll likely just get curt correspondence relating to your purchase)

It has not happened otherwise in a substantial manner since Thetan. And before Thetan, since Ivy.

What was the point of Chris even going to college and wasting all that time and money on a degree when his parents were well aware of that fact that a hopeless sped like him would never be able to get a job and support himself with it?

I mean for fuck's sake he didn't even know what kind of jobs he could get with his degree, considering he was more interested in playing pokemon cards with ten year olds instead of finding a job.

Borb probably just wanted more day care for him, but he probably didn't qualify for any adult day care programs for people even more disabled than him, so PVCC became the daycare center after MHS

He did yell really angrily at the chat to let people know he doesn't read it that one time. I wonder what they wrote...
Was watching the chat at the time; all they were saying were things like:
"You aren't a real woman Chris!"
"JULAAAAY!"
And comments about how he fails at money.

The "Julaaaay" comments were spammed a bunch, so that's probably what really did it.

His parents probably weren't aware of it. Chris made a website in "notepad scratch," which might not be too impressive to us, but to a pair of senior citizens in the early '00s that must have seemed like some serious programming finesse. Between that and learning all the rules to the Pokemon card game, Chris probably seemed like some kind of savant to them. Just listen to how Bob talks about him during the Emily date - according to Bob, his son was a little "different," but he still believed there was some kind of genuine talent in there somewhere.

TL;DR old people can easily be fooled by unfamiliar technology, and that happened to work in Chris's favor.

And to be fair to Bob, Chris may have indeed had some special talent buried down there somewhere. Hell, he might even still have that talent. The problem here is that Chris has not, never had, and never will have any intention to go looking for it. For two reasons. One, he believes that talent is creating. I can give you a multitude of examples of why that is not it.

The second reason is because Chris occupies his brain with frivolities that are meant to be hobbies. Toy collecting and video games. For a responsible adult, these two things can both be rewarding hobbies that help you unwind after the stresses of adult life. For Chris? Literally like a child. He has to have every game and every toy he wants, and right now. There's no patience. So since Chris has constant stimulus around him, he probably doesn't even have an inkling that there may in fact be a useful skill he has that he could turn into a career. But even if he did know it, I'd wager that he would most likely ignore it, because performing that skill would not be as fun as playing Ratchet and Clank. Hell, not even most likely, I KNOW he would ignore it. Because we all know he already ignores the thing which he THINKS is his "gift": His artwork. He hasn't touched the Sonichu comic in forever (a metaphor bordering on literal) and he won't make his creations that people actually pay REAL money for. That is the definition of doing what you love for your job. You should LOVE making your characters. Chris evidently doesn't.

Yeah, I always thought that this was what was behind Bob saying young Chris was 'mastering' vidya and moving on to the next game. Knowing what we know about Chris, it was more likely that he was getting bored in minutes and telling Borb that he had completed the game and they should buy him a new one. They probably saw some high number on the screen and lost their senile minds.

Pretty much sums it.

Well he went to community college, so it would have been affordable. And his time has never had any value.

Basically, why not? Going in, an optimistic Bob might hope that it would lead to a job opportunity. Even if it didn't, having it on a resume might have been useful for minimum wage jobs. He would be trying to demonstrate he was competent despite his disability. An associates degree might help with that.

And if it didn't lead to anything, it gave Chris something productive to do, and he accomplished something.

It seems to me like a perfectly legitimate decision.

at the very least, it got Chris out of the house, Bob probably thought a CADD degree with be more useful than an art degree and probably knew that a marketing degree would require another 2 years at a 4 year college

If you look at the new drawings, like commissions and what not, they are not as bad. Compared to his old drawings that looked like a retarded 2 year old drew them, that is. My question is how are his art skills getting better if he never makes the comics anymore and just play vidya all day?
Edit: they are actually still pretty shitty but they are definitely better
