Would Chris Chan have the mental capacity to speak finnish fluently? And also, does he have a comprehension of suffix and prefixes, cases, verb conjugation, etc. And does he even know finnish is a agglutinative language?

I'd also love to see the progress of Chris learning Japanese since now he started learning it. I wonder if he'll even be able to remember the Kana's let alone Kanji. Would he even know what particles to use as well and would he get used to the word order?

Sorry if I’m late to this, but how long has he been paying for ads for his Etsy shop? An ad for a medallion popped up for me on Pinterest of all places. Any estimates on how much he’s paying for these ads or any other info available about ad campaign(s) he’s running?

He barely has the mental capacity to speak English coherently. Between that and his earlier-in-life forays into learning Spanish, the chances of him learning a second or subsequent language with any degree of fluency seem small at best - particularly Finnish.

Probably not - or, if he does, it's rudimentary at best. From what I recall of his Spanish, he only ever used the present tense, frequently misspelled even basic words, didn't understand the concept of radical-changing verbs, etc.

As for the Japanese Duolingo courses: Chris is a giant weeaboo, and he'll probably put as much effort into that as does the average weeb.

It definitely is a mystery but as others have said, his influences of work is like mostly come from the media he consumed. In the early days, he said he would like an "office job" but never could elaborate. My guess is, he just sees it as sitting down most of the time, and playing around on a computer. I imagine his idea of going into marketing early on in community college, was that he would draw an ad or two, or else look at other people's work and approve or disapprove the designs. Sort of like a test audience picking things they'd like or not like, but instead, Chris would be in charge.

When we got to the begging Sega for a job, he wanted a corner office, and an assistant, who, much like his sweetheart, would do all the work, whereas Chris would I guess, make decisions? Yell into a phone "buy!" or "sell!" based on something?

His roleplay he did with the Legos seemed to shed some light on it, as in Chris had no idea what his wife did other than have a hard day and get yelled at for whatever.

It's absolutely insane how much time Chris has spent around other people in various times of the day, talking to many different people, yet he has absolutely no idea what they do. I guess it culminated in his "real player one" nonsense where he thinks everyone is just some sort of barely thinking zombie, just going to work, shopping, watching tv, fucking, and doing everything like in the Truman show.

Closest to a real job he had was Wendy's and I wish we had some employeer from those days to talk about it but from all we were able to gather, he was a very incompetent irresponsible employee that apparently even drew his female boss in an unflatteringly manner ( it IS Chris Chan alright...) and there is also the Donald Duck impersonation (idk if that made the kid cry or the fact that, knowing Chris, he shoved his face near the kid and didnt care how threatening he looked to an infant).

Sometimes I go back and look at Sonichu, and I get really depressed for many reasons, but one of them is realizing how Chris was genuinely better at telling a story than some people in Hollywood.

Plot points are introduced and paid off even if they were from years earlier, there's a somewhat natural sense of progression and pacing, his worldbuilding stays consistent, he follows the Hero's Journey formula, and did his best to make the ending as big and climatic as possible. Everything introduced, no matter how insane, stupid or pointless, ties into the plot and gets resolved.

This isn't meant to be a compliment, this is all really basic storytelling shit. But if you look at stuff like the Disney Star Wars trilogy, the last season of Game of Thrones, Kurtzman's Star Trek (where the Rick & Morty clone he was barely involved with mogged everything else and it wasn't even close) and like half of modern Marvel movies, all of them fail at this super simple shit.

Of course, every since Chris' brain melted into a toxic neon-yellow goop, he can't write anymore. All of his stories are meandering and ramblnig nonsense about his insane beliefs and none of it goes anywhere. But in his "prime" he actually knew what he was doing and it's a little disheartening how many people in "important" positions don't know as good as he did.

I wonder how much of Chris's view of work is influenced by I Love Lucy. There were a bunch of episodes where Lucy would get some sort of job, like working in the chocolate factory. Chris has also reenacted Lucy's vitamin pitch.
I wouldn't put past Chris taking this clip of South Park at face value. I think that chapter was aired around the time he seemed to be under the impression that banging a plastic toy (sometimes even silently) was some kind of accomplishment and at the very least comparable to Liquid being able to play a real guitar.

He really is that much of a moron, and cartoons (with the occasional ancient live action TV show) are his only frame of reverence.

What exactly is happening? I mean, how did we go from him leaving jail to being in fucking Finland? Who the fuck is writing this script?!
Finland is the land of the trolls after all.

Chris at least cares about his comic and the characters he totally didn’t rip off unlike Hollywood writers who sometimes actively hate the source material they use and seek to subvert it so they can insert their own ideology or to just ‘own the chuds’ who are fans of the originals.

Meanwhile corporations mostly care about IPs so you end up with nonsense like Space Jam 2 where the cast of Clockwork Orange watch Looney Tune characters play basketball for no reason, somehow managing to outdo even Ready Player One in their overuse of characters and settings from other franchises.

There's a different forum I'm on where a user has been documenting her descent into psychosis devotion to Chris's religion. I can't tell if she's a troll or an attention whore or what, but seeing that shit in the wild is CONCERNING.

The site has some really strict guidelines regarding access to certain areas of the forum, and you need an account to see anything at all. But I have these.

Can't help but have the feeling that that person has either been kicked out of here, or is running close to it.

It did not seek help.

There probably isn't any for it. Seems like an ideal candidate for Scientology, though.

lol it's been a while since I saw someone outside of tumblr either larping or abused enough to believe they are hosting multiple personalities. What's the term they use, systems? Alters?
That's a novelty in weening/white knighting, I'll give her that.

I am going to sperg out on why Chris Chan is interesting, so if you don't want to be autistic, just read the TL;DR.

In my opinion, the reason why Chris is so intriguing to read about, aside from people being inclined to hear about the latest juicy drama, news, and cool, unique stories, is the fact that he fails so much at life at a point where normal people cannot fathom it.

We watch this bumbling, mentally-ill man fail at the most basic things to us because of maybe his environment, his mental illness or himself. He and other people prying into his life or others who know him personally put all of this up for the internet to see - intimate details that no regular person would know unless the moron who has them brings them up. Then, we realize his life is one colossal mess-up because we see what could be the closest to the full extent of which. And yet, here he is. Here he remains. Somehow.

But why? Chris's mentality interests us, too. There's a lot more to learn about the human mind and mental disorders like autism. Does Chris have autonomy from the bad decisions of the people around him, or not? What else is causing his delusions aside from autism and being raised by internet and TV? What truly made him think like this? Is there a way to rewire his thinking, if all people are capable of change, regardless of circumstances (we'll, we don't seem to be getting lots of info now, so whoever is handling him, be it Flutter or the grifters, must be doing something right to a degree)? These questions come with this trainwreck of Chris's life story.

Looking at Chris is like being up close and personal with a personal biography in the flesh. Truths, lies, secrets, shared information, and all. Whether we want it to end or we wish it to keep going, or we just let it all go, we will be interested.

TL; DR - People are drawn to Chris's story because of the public details on how he messes up a lot and still remains standing and how we get to see a piece of his world through his twisted thoughts and wonder "how does one think like that?" It's like reading a book getting updated in real time.

If Chris managed to gather enough followers to form a cult (no matter how small), how long would it take for him to talk them into mass suicide in order to fulfill the prophecy of the merge?

But what fan art has in common with strict parodies is that it is a clear imitation, that doesn't detract from the original. Did Nintendo, Sega, etc. lose a cent to Sonichu? I don't think so.

Are you saying that Sonichu is a parody, are you saying it is fan art, or are you saying it is not immoral? Your argument is all over the place. Sonichu is clearly a piece of fan fiction that Chris intends to be taken seriously, apart from the occasional comic relief. The series provides no commentary on the tropes or fictional universes it mashes together. It is not a parody.
