Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Good question! I can only remember him asking for photos, but never for videos. Maybe he did ask, but the girls could never comply, because phones with cameras weren't as affordable back then and laptops didn't always come with a built-in one.

You know, Ivy actually gave him her phone number, so HE could reach HER whenever he wanted to chat.
He did ask for photos from every girl at some point, he was terrible with faces (Blanca gave him 3 different girls' pictures) so I don't think he would have noticed if they just kept giving him different fake ones. But as for Skype or Facebook or whatever, I think they'd just say they don't have it or that they don't want to risk trolls getting it. For videos, I don't think Chris was creative enough to ask for a video. The girls who asked for videos knew what they wanted him to do, Chris didn't care enough to ask them to make him a video in return because all he really wanted was to meet them in person and finally have sex. There were quite a few times where Chris would say, "If I make this video, I want ______ in return" and it was never "a video of you", it was also sex or a face to face meeting with hopes of sex.

This question doesn't relate directly to Chris, but on the Cwcki, Jason Kendric Howell is said to resemble Big Boss from the Metal Gear series in the comics, but every picture I can find of Big Boss either has facial hair, or doesn't have an eyepatch. Was he depicted clean shaven with an eyepatch at some point, or is it just a sort of "He looks just like him except for the facial hair" sort of thing?

I think the whole "Jason looks like big boss" thing came from an old picture on his myspace that Chris found where he's wearing an eyepatch and pretending to be big boss. And Chris being Chris thought that the fact that he was wearing an eyepatch and said something about big boss, that meant that Jason LOOKS JUST LIKE BIG BOSS.

[13:38:18] Christopher C.W.C.: in a near future chat between you and me on the PSN, I'll bring my mother in, so y'all can talk a bit.
[13:38:32] BlueSpike: I don't think I want to talk to your mother..I'm too nervous.
[13:38:56] Christopher C.W.C.: I understand your tension, but you don't have to be nervous.
[13:39:29] Christopher C.W.C.: you can talk to her, just like you were talking to me. the important item is to remain calm and cool.
[13:39:39] BlueSpike: ...
[13:39:50] Christopher C.W.C.: that's advice I've learned from the 9-year old who wrote the book on how to talk to girls.
[13:39:58] BlueSpike: ........

I actually find this to be pretty revealing. Chris thinks that Julie is nervous about talking to his mother the same way a 9-year-old would be nervous talking to a girl and that Julie is nervous talking to Chris' mother because Chris' mother is a woman, ignoring the fact that women don't usually have the same problems talking to other women that men have talking to women, and even then ignoring the age differences of all parties involved. It's just so wtf.

Chris can't empathize with others well. Remember Kacey lost her grandma on 9/11 and Chris associated that loss with the loss of his dog and his aunt from natural causes. ANYONE that was 'normal' that heard that someone lost a loved one in horrific way would have said "Oh that's horrible. I can't even imagine having that happen". Maybe they would mention that they lost loved ones in the past, but they most definitely would have disclaimer-ed with something like "I don't know exactly how you feel, but I can emphasize losing a loved one". But not Chris, his response is, "Oh, you've lost your grandma? Well I'VE lost my dog, my aunt, AND my girlfriends... even though the girlfriends turned out to be fake. So I've lost more people I 'loved' than you so pity me more".

So in this instance, Chris hears someone's nervous, he then thinks, "Why would I be nervous?" and his response is, "Well, mom's a girl, and I freeze up when I talk to girls. That must be it". He can't internalize or empathize, "My girlfriend is nervous about meeting my mom because that's a big step in most relationships". As far as I know, Chris was never nervous about talking with family members of his girlfriends because he was hoping that meeting family was the last hurdle before sex. He genuinely thought that Kacey's dad would give his approval for Kacey to fuck him (he even made a comic scene depicting that very thing).

I'm very aware of Chris' inability to empathize with others - it's a defining trait of autism - but I'm just always mystified at the way it presents itself sometimes.

I feel like this guy looks like the way Chris draws himself in sonichu:

What strikes me is that he says he learned it from a 9 year old. Other than that, I don't have a problem with him drawing analogies between people who are nervous about conversations. To be fair, "stay calm, be polite, be yourself" is general advice that applies to both situations. Even if he got that advice from a book written by a 9-year old, I am fine with that. But why the hell would he cite the fact that it was written by a 9 year old?

I think he just doesn't want to lose a pity off. Pity is the one thing he has going for him. He doesn't get any respect, he gets very little affection. The only positive feelings people show towards him are pity.

Or how Sarah Nicole Hammer is what "one may say that she is the spitting image of Brittney Spears." This is the guy who had to stare at himself in the mirror for hours to remember what he looked like. Autistics are known to have trouble with facial recognition. Plus he's a dumbass.

Quick question: Chris has never mentioned any interactions with grandparents. Were they already dead by the time his own seinor citizen parents gave birth to him? Did he ever have any overlapping time as a kid? I'm guessing no. Barb's parents sound like shitbags but I don't think I've ever read about Bob's.

As far as I know he never lived with any of his siblings, they either were too old to still live with their parents or they lived with the other parent that wasn't Barb or Bob. As for his grandparents, he never talks about them except when he needs to show someone he's worth it. Like, when Kacey's dad asked what he's ever accomplished in his life he mentioned his dad inventing the controls for the making of the plastic funnel. I think he used his grandpa for something. And he'd mentioned that through his mom's mom (never grandma) he was related to different royalties and the Mayflower voyage. Other than that, I think they were dead by the time Chris came into the world.

I dunno if this was asked before but if someone was able to get a social worker interested in Chrissy's case would he accept help?

Or would he reject any attempts to make contact. I wuz thinking if Rocky introduced the case worker to Chris just right, he would accept them?

Chris would accept any "help" that involved someone giving him what he wanted. The second the social worker tried to change him in any way, he'd be pitching a fit.

Help for what? I don't get it.

Help with general life skills.

He needs to be prepared for when Barb moves on to the great trash heap in the sky. I have zero confidence that Chrissy will be able to survive on his own.

Uhh, you can't teach Chris in the way you think you can.

Fatty's not going to get prepared for Barb's death. He's going to crash into it and barely get scraped off of the wreckage and possibly survive. If Rocky's alive.

Hmmm I guess a better way to phrase my question is;

Could a trained professional social worker teach Chris enough so that he could function as a semi-independent adult?

Or is he too far down the path to be saved by anyone?

This is Chris's Ring Cycle, his Ninth Symphony, his musical masterpiece. It's stupid yet catchy: "Sonichu zaps the lightning - hey, mellow color!"

BTW: "Never put a banana in your pajamas" - IIRC the Amazing Atheist has gathered empirical data on the advisability of this maxim and agrees to a certain degree.
