Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I've always felt the same way as Marvin. The parts that are widely discussed and hyped such as the 'during the Stone Age,' line is hilarious but anything that isn't sort of flies over the radar for me. I appreciate Sonichu for moulding Chris into the person we know and love but not as something that stands alone as entertaining by itself.

It's funny how most users either think Sonichu is the best part of Chris or something that's mostly irrelevant, there doesn't tend to be an inbetween. Just look at how baffled and angered Watermelon was that @Alec Benson Leary dared to make a parody Sonichu comic without reading the source material thoroughly first.

Sonichu is for the most part pretty boring. Most of it is textwalls of dumb exposition-style writing you can find in just about any Sonic fan creation. The only really amusing thing about it is the art and the occasional gem like when Sonichu's grade-school aged daughter implied she wasn't a virgin. Or Ivy's insane off-"screen" death scene. Or DJ Jamsta, a living event horizon of lame.

But the only reason those things are at all that interesting is because it gives a small insight into Chris's warped perspectives. I don't think Sonichu is an unnecessary component of CWC's saga, I believe Chris the Man and Chris the Cartoonist are totally dependent on each other. Neither would be nearly as interesting without the other.

Would Chris aknowledge that a woman was a troll? Even during his earlier sagas, he seemed to look at Meghan and the sweethearts as different beings from the host of trolls he hated despite associating the women with them after the fact.
Take Megan, for example. He looks at her as a troll the same as he does at me or anyone else. Difference is, she can always earn his forgiveness... by becoming his sweetheart. Even if he's not saying it, he's definitely thinking it.

Is Chris on food stamps?
It's unlikely that he qualifies for them. Both him and his mother get social security payments that are intended to cover those expenses. SNAP is usually intended for low income families with children who are not on welfare/public assistance. See, it goes by household size and total income. So a single mother with 3 kids, house hold of 4 but only one person in that home has an income. In the Chandler's case they both have income. They would combine chris and barb's tugboats as one household income, and he wouldn't qualify. Although, if Chris were to give up his tugboat and get a minimum wage job instead, he'd almost certainly qualify.

I dunno, he looks pretty damn fat in the recent pictures. Wasn't he like 210 at that one weigh in video? He got fatter since then, too

To buy the bed, he has to save up. To buy legos, he can blow the tugboat money he has now. He's a compulsive shopper
To kind of build on this, Chris doesn't really have an incentive to save, especially since Bob died--if Barb found out he had more money, she'd likely try to get it.

Chris dumps his money into toys, yet Barb doesn't force him to sell or forbid him from buying those. He could try putting some money into Paypal or a new bank account instead. Either way, Barb might freak out if they don't have enough to cover bills, but one scenario gave him $2,500 of toys over a year and the other could give him $1,250 in toys and $1,250 in savings.

That would've been enough to buy a new bed without the windfall from DStecks or buy a PS4 without Fingerhut.

I don't think Chris would lie to Barb about hiding money. If he spent it on toys, Chris can say with a straight face he doesn't have the money.

I'm a psych student and I just was talking about Chris to a friend and then I remembered a case I read about in which a babysitter would leave a baby home alone as she went to a second job. The boy had a lot in common with Chris but actually got professional help at around 11. He was even a big pokemon fan in high school too. But he started to get help with dating at age 20 by his therapist and is a productive member of society.
