Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

What's the fate of the Chandler pets? I know they regularly did as they pleased at 14 BLC, but I hope they're okay...:(

I just noticed that during the second house tour video, even rooms (such as the music room) that were inaccessible due to the Hoard had lights, fans, etc on in them. I would have hated to see Charb's power bill.

In rural parts of Columbia the word "virgin" has such bad incantations that it's common practice for young boys to fuck donkeys. It's a Catholic nation so girls won't put out until marriage so the young scampers will go tame them (heh) some wild-life strange. Why donkeys in particular I do not know, but the obsession with sex, or, rather, the lack of it, is a pretty widespread phenomena, not something unique to Chris.
I ain't gonna call "it doesn't count" on a hooker.
I've heard a thing or two about friendly farm animals, but I've never heard that it counted.

Columbia. Seriously. CWC is less of a virgin than y'all.

Dang it Chris! You've never heard of Antonio Stradivari? You couldn't even be bothered to use Google? :stupid:
Just looking at what he is asking for is painful considering that and the other items have clear water and minor burn damages that might devalue the products. Then again, this is Chris we are talking about, he thinks anything damaged is still worth more money.

This is a guy who, after encountering a word he didn't understand in an email, would ask the sender to define said word for him. So it's not surprising that he has a slight case of LMGTFY-itis.

Well, they're Old... Antique is also old, and worth A Lot Of Money... therefore these items are worth A Lot Of Money! These model planes aren't made anymore either, so they are actually Rare Collectibles! But yes, the packaging is slightly damaged, so he gracefully lowered the price. It's a Real Bargain.

ow i think i pulled a muscle. in my brain.

To be fair, I assume most if not all of the parts are plastic and not subject to water damage. I suppose a serious collector would care about the box, but a guy who likes building planes might not really care if the box got wet.

That being said, they do seem a little overpriced to me.

Overall, I don't mock Chris for asking a lot for stuff. There is no rule that you have to sell something for a given price. It strikes me that a lot of the stuff that is ridiculously overpriced is the stuff Chris likes the most (eg. porn and minifigs). Maybe he says to himself "I like this porn, if I could only got a couple hundred dollars, I would rather have the porn. I would only want to sell it if I could get a lot of money." That would be perfectly rational, but it might be giving too much credit to him.

knowing him it's probably gotten worse

The "Steel-Plated Heart" is his newest drawing. I don't know if I'd say it's "better", but he did at least consult a reference.

It's another example of Chris' approach to everything in life. He decides on his own what he expects, without ever considering if what he's expecting is realistic or even possible at all. Nobody's going to pay Chris' high prices on used and damaged junk. He disregards what the actual value of something is in favor of what he would like to get, and he ends up ensuring that he makes no money at all.

This is exactly how he has handled his love quest, and why it is an unmitigated disaster. Chris decides what he wants (pretty white girl with money) and he decides he'll pursue her casually with the aid of a sign at local shopping destinations. He has never heard of this situation working, and for years it failed to produce results for him in practice. Chris is deciding failure because he refuses to accept or learn how reality actually works.
