I believe his Jesus larp, and wanting to control everything comes from this too. I've noticed the more Chris's life goes to shit, the grander he thinks of himself, and then in prison for boinking his mother, an absolutely vile thing, suddenly he's actually Jesus Christ, someone a lot of the world loves who is a good person. That Chris Chan guy certainly isn't, but Jesus is! Chris had absolutely no control in his jail situation, nor did he have any trolls to blame. At most, he explained it as some hairbrained "test" in order to see if Bella and Null were loyal, and that was the reason he was caught. I don't even think he went as far as to claim the recorded call was fabricated, which means he really did understand he fucked up, badly, yet could only really worm his way into a very retarded excuse. It really wasn't until he got out that he realized just how many people knew, believed and blamed him for doing what he did that he had to do that video where he sternly declares that he didn't do anything with Barb, thinking that if he just says that, then that's good enough.
And "Chris always right" narrative will outweigh his conscious and feed into his delusions. He wants it and deserves it because he can excuse it because he's always right.
I forget the name of it but there is a term for this, something stemming from a classical Greek or Roman story. Chris's ego, his unwarranted sense of self importance, tendency towards magical thinking, poorly developed extremely childish intellect and honestly just general personality combine to make him almost incapable of any form of self reflection.
Sadly for him his ego is large an has a very soft white underbelly so he does feel attacks to his own self worth so when he does get wounded in the feefees he doubles down by puffing up the rest of his ego, this is how we've ended up with him believing himself to be a god across all dimensions and all powerful but with the nice get out of jail free card of "This realities limits" explaining why he can't do the magic he claims he's capable of.
The sadder part of this is deep down he knows this is all a cope, like when he was caught dancing with Magichan and talking to him he's playing make believe he earnestly wishes his this where the case but he knows it's not real. In the two cases I just mentioned it's important to put it in a environmental context.
He was in a public place surrounded by people having a happy time with friends an loved ones, all smiling and laughing dancing just being human and then there is him sitting on his own nobody to talk to, nobody to dance with, just sitting there on his own feeling miserable in a sea of happiness. Rather than trying to find some other like minded soul an kindling a spark of friendship he retreated into his own happy place and brought up Magichan who's his ultimate Mary Sue self insert power fantasy who only has eyes for him, see's his undoubted greatness etc an dances with him, talks with him an entertains him as the final boss of his ego from the crushingly desperate loneliness he was feeling in that moment.
This is what happened with the Test he retroactively set Null an Bella "No I cant be fooled an manipulated again, I knew all this to begin with this was a test of your faith in me" he did this to cushion himself from the reality he knew that he had really fucked up this time an Mummy, Daddy and Magichan couldn't help him this time, big boy consequences are soon going to follow.
Sadly his Ego and enough time had passed that allowed him to spin up more and more personal defences that just built upon the last delusion when he felt the sharp stab of reality into his shrivelled and warped conscious, add in him only having a bible for entertainment after decades of sautéing his brain with nothing but children’s media with it's meaning so telegraphed Samuel Morse himself would be proud he took the writings he liked an grafted them onto his own personality modifying them to fit and we ended up with him being God.
It's easy to mock these boomers for not getting it, but there was really nothing they could have known that would have made "an international conspiracy of weirdoes formed and they're purposefully taunting and tormenting our son using magic Internet waves" an even remotely reasonable explanation for what was going on.
A lot of people today, even people who where around at the time forget how misunderstood the internet and internet culture of the time was, the internet was a big scary thing to a lot of people (and still is unless it's siloed into a walled Garden like Facebook or Reddit etc).
Bob had a technical understanding of Computers, not a social one. Barb just about knew it existed anything beyond that was while not beyond there ability to understand it was something they didn't have to as they didn't interact with the internet beyond what was happening to Chris and they just wrote it off as "Some local kids bullying our special needs child and using the computer to do it".
I'm not judging the mortality of Trolling Chris here, as with adult hindsight I can see the obvious negative impact it had on Chris an his already defective mind but I can see why Bob an Barb didn't react well because they honestly couldn’t frame the scope of what was happening to Chris in a way they could understand.
If Chris had an official felony conviction for the incest (or hitting Snyder, or anything else), would he have been denied entry to Finland because of this?
It can do, I forget the entrance requirements for EU member states but a lot of them have Visa free barriers for crimes over a certain level as a whole the EU has a baseline but countries are free to set the bar higher. Chris got off lightly an didn't get anything really that would stop him from not requiring a visa and while he's in his own words "Famous on the internet" to real authorities he's a nobody and is safely ignored.
What does puzzle me is how he got a passport to begin with, the list of people who can sign off on passport photographs varys country to country but there is a rough international standard of professional in good professional standing, with a documented proof of there bonifiedes to the relevant authorities of the issuing nation or body.
Chris isn't the sort of person who knows that sort of person and the ones he did know cut him off after the whole Barb fiasco, so people like Church Leaders an possibly his Doctor are off the cards, it is possible he did it the hardway an go through the interview process to prove who he was without the signature on his pictures but he showed no signs of stress that process would have caused him having said that he didn't blab about leaving the country either so it's possible someone did all the legwork for him an coached him to keep quiet about it.
The whole situation's quite bizarre and one day he will spill the beans but until then it's all speculation and the more time passes any recollections Chris has will be wildly inaccurate and will need third party verification or someone to join the dots with what we do have.
