The sadder part of this is deep down he knows this is all a cope, like when he was caught dancing with Magichan and talking to him he's playing make believe he earnestly wishes his this where the case but he knows it's not real. In the two cases I just mentioned it's important to put it in a environmental context.

I've often wondered just how much of his bullshit Chris really believes. Sure his brain has been irreparably broken from the start, so there's certainly a chance that it's tricked him into believing such nonsense, but I'm often surprised by the mundane things that he understands, so it's likely that you're correct that it's all just a coping mechanism.

Specifically with the "dancing with Magichan" incident (or the "Magichan punching the cop" in the arrest bodycam footage), could he really be hallucinating these characters? Or is he just playing pretend.
On the one hand, if it was all make-believe, then he'd recognize how foolish he'd look. It's one thing to look like a dork in front of a bunch of strangers at a convention, but in front of authority figures like police? Is he that dumb that he thinks that's acceptable?
On the other hand, there's little evidence that he has a diagnosable mental condition like schizophrenia that would cause hallucinations.

A lot of people today, even people who where around at the time forget how misunderstood the internet and internet culture of the time was, the internet was a big scary thing to a lot of people (and still is unless it's siloed into a walled Garden like Facebook or Reddit etc).

It was such a weird time. Society was still very much in the "Don't talk to strangers" mindset back then, but there were no rules for the internet. Teens and tweens were going online and jumping right into chat rooms with no guardrails in place. It sounds scary through the lens of today's society and today's internet, but you gotta remember that digital cameras were uncommon then, and even if you had access to one, it would take a damn hour to send a picture over dial-up. Pair that with even some basic parenting to keep your children from doing something stupid like trying to meet up with a stranger in real life, and it wasn't any more dangerous than the current situation. We weren't all being groomed by predators back then -- we were just chatting with our friends and connecting with others who shared our interests.

The thing with Chris, though, is that even though he had the mind of a child and acted immaturely, he was a grown-ass man during most of the trolling sagas.
  • He was 23 when he started making Sonichu comics and was "the crazy pacer".
  • He was 25 when his photos appeared on 4chan/Something Awful/Encyclopedia Dramatica
  • He was 26 for Jason Kendrick Howell, Jimmy Hill, Blanca Weis, Sarah Jackson, and Panda Halo. The same year, his first nudes were leaked and trolls intercepted the medallion. This is the same year that "The pickle man tricked [him[ again."
  • He was 27 for Miyamoto, Gregg Mays, Clyde Cash, Julie/BlueSpike, Ivy, Liquid Chris, Alec Benson Leary and "I want everything about my house OFF! THE! ERRNET!".
Reading about all of these scenarios, I always picture Chris as much younger, but he wasn't -- he was just a retarded man who was never given the support he needed. A mentally healthy person would have been able to use the internet in a responsible way and would never fall for such nonsense, but Chris needed more help and never got it. Because Barb and Bob kept their heads in the sand about Chris' mental state, they treated him like he was normal -- to his great detriment.

What does puzzle me is how he got a passport to begin with, the list of people who can sign off on passport photographs varys country to country but there is a rough international standard of professional in good professional standing, with a documented proof of there bonifiedes to the relevant authorities of the issuing nation or body.

I don't think it's that difficult to get a passport in the US. All sorts of places (AAA, UPS Stores, FedEx/Kinko's, etc) will take passport-compliant photos for a nominal fee. Fill out the form properly, show your birth certificate, send in a check, wait forever for the office to process it, and they'll send you a shiny new passport. There are even companies who will do the process for you for anyone too dumb or lazy to do it themselves.
Even Chris can do it if he puts his slow mind to it.

I've often wondered just how much of his bullshit Chris really believes.
He doesn't believe any of it.

But it gives him hope and that's what counts

Keep the hope alive and all that. I mean hey he's Jesus Christ how can he not be hopeful.

The most I would say that it's an elaborate fantasy for him that he constantly immerses himself in, it's retarded but it's really not that different from someone who's into a TV show or a movie or hell a book or video game.

Except retarded.

I do think it's 99% imagination, like a child’s he believes if he believes it hard enough for long enough it will be true, the problem is when it's a kid playing make belive it's endearing when it's a 40 year old man it's disturbing.

On the wiki there is a line where it states something like "Chris isn't schizophrenic as his delusions are purely self serving and he's never been frightened by them" and this is very true an puts pay to the speculation if you've ever had to deal with someone with that particular malady, you can also see it when he consciously has to mention it when his limited attention span is taken up by something else.

A perfect example of this is in the first Gamer From Mars documentary, they are sitting outside in the Gazebo of 14BLC where he's asked about his imaginary friends an he goes something like "oh yea.. Magichan, Mario, Sonichu keep up the good work they.. are on lookout".

Same with the Police Officer getting punched by Magichan, Chris long ago stopped caring about what others think about him as even if he's in company he's on his own, he says an does what he feels like because he's got no social shame an he wanted to try an be impressive to the police men, an they realised that they where dealing with someone not quite all there very quickly but while he was loud he wasn't a threat so let him babble, it's only when the gunt showed up they realised something unusual was going on.

I do think he's mentally ill, and he's likely on some spectrum other than Autism but it's not just one thing specifically it's a mix of a lot of factors so while he's not schizophrenic he does show elements of schizotypal personality disorder, he's not just autistic he's also borderline retarded (in a medical sense). I'm not a MD not even close so wouldn’t attempt a diagnosis but I can see the end results an also see why he fell through the cracks of services that would normally step in (even without bob an barbs interference) because each service was designed to help with a specific problem an couldn’t really go out of there way to help him because he didn't reach the intervention point for there own specific focus and bob an barb's lack of co-operation if not outright hostility.

Reading about all of these scenarios, I always picture Chris as much younger, but he wasn't -- he was just a retarded man who was never given the support he needed. A mentally healthy person would have been able to use the internet in a responsible way and would never fall for such nonsense, but Chris needed more help and never got it. Yea I know what you mean about Early Chris, he looked like he was 16 because he was this fat semi pubessant blob in ill fitting ugly an dated clothing, talking about stuff way below the age it's reasonable to do so, surrounded by toys making really childish art, now he looks like some bedraggled old man that's be dragged through the reject clothing an toy bins behind a second hand shop an still obsesses about children’s toys.

In the context of chris i've totally come to disregard his chronological age an just view him as a perpetual 6 or 7 year old who's got a Freaky Friday situation going on with his body.

I'm not a American so don't know the process in the USA but that's generally the process in the UK as well but it's the proof of image I keep getting hung up on, as long as you haven’t had a major visual change in your appearance an your renewing your passport with it still in date or I think 6 months post expiry you can just submit a new image, but for first applications I think they have to verify the image with it signed by a professional like I said, it's only a minor thing but it make me curious who's signed it.

I generally agree with your points. It's so hard to objectively study Chris because he is so far off from normality that every comparison to anyone else just falls flat.

Chris long ago stopped caring about what others think about him

That is clearly true, and it's so hard for me to grasp. So much of Chris' life has been about him trying VERY hard to fit in and to be loved by all. He was so desperate to find a girlfriend boyfriend-free girl and to have sex. He spent the majority of his life trying to get people to like the character and comics that he'd created. He wanted to be famous and loved. But at the same time, he behaved in was that seemed to show that he didn't care what anyone thought of him -- he wore his clay Crayola Fucking Model Magic medallion around all the time; he dressed like a clown; he played pretend in public where he knew he'd be seen and judged by others.

It's just fascinating to watch him come up with these bizarre ways to try to get what he wants.

In the context of chris i've totally come to disregard his chronological age an just view him as a perpetual 6 or 7 year old who's got a Freaky Friday situation going on with his body.

That's a good way of looking at him. In many ways, he has the mind of a little boy crammed into the body of a grown man. He just wants to draw and color and play all day and otherwise get what he wants without any obligations.

It's not a perfect comparison, of course. Little boys don't rape their mothers, after all. But even that is an example of him just taking what he wants and doing what he wants without regard for consequences or even societal norms. The "teflon tard" has never had to suffer the consequences of his actions, so he remains mentally stunted.

Ah, I see what you mean. It has been a very long time since I got my first passport, but I recall that it involved going to the post office. Chris might struggle to get the paperwork together, but he sometimes surprises me with what he's able to do, and a patient enough postal employee or other civil servant may have helped him through it.

When I got my passport it was a major pain in the ass. I filled out the normal forms, got the photos taken at the drug store, and paid the fee.

The passport office then requested a slew of documentation. They wanted a list of every school I'd attended since kindergarten, every address I'd ever lived at, and every place I've been employed. They wanted copies of photos of me found in high school year books. They wanted my actual birth certificate, not a copy, as well as expired driver's licenses.

I think maybe I got profiled because I have a German first name, and they thought maybe a 90+ year old SS officer was trying to pass himself off as someone in their late 20s.

For sure he knows. His mind is broken in the way he desperately want these things to be real so he copes.

If bob was around when chris married his oc, bob would lose it. Also, notice this bullshit started happening after barb became a husk.

He doesn't hallucinate, he just wishes those things were real. He told magichan to punch the cop but we need to remember he knew he was screwed so why not? Also he threw a fit at his bond hearing because this is not chris's first rodeo and thought he would be released pretty quickly based on previous experience.

When he was in court, where was his hubbies? He knows they are not real.

Ah, I see what you mean. It has been a very long time since I got my first passport, but I recall that it involved going to the post office.

The post office visit with barb is still a mystery. The only report we got back is that they did not want to notarize the document that chris provided. My guess is either a document stating chris can go back to 14blc or a shotty will where chris gets the house once barb passes. This is a guess of course.

Well I thought you looked a little shifty there Brunhilde.

I can't imagine what Chris had to go through to get a passport, I'm sure his criminal record and recently dismiss conviction of incest likely gave a double take.

Of course it's also possible Finland doesn't have very high standards.

In all of Chris' nude leaks, his pubic region is shaved completely bare. How is it possible that he never accidentally cut himself and suffered a terrible infection in such a sensitive and dirty area when he shaves his face like this?

taking your word that this is true i imagine his lack of showering creates sweaty swamplike conditions down there that create a natural lubricant between the skin and the razor

lord have mercy

If we are referring to the same bit, it was actually sadder. What he was asked about was if he was still in good terms with anybody from his past and if he still talks to anybody, and Chris goes on about how he and Barb pretty much only have each other. You can see how that it's actually getting to him, and then he switches to his idiotic make-believe in a desperate attempt to cope.

Does anybody have that Chris Chan parody of Chris' pickle-suited nigger video set to the SMB3 overworld theme 2 handy and feel like sharing? Thought I had it saved, but I guess I didn't and can't seem to find it online.

That's the exact bit I was thinking of, I missremeberd it a bit but it's exactly the part I was thinking of.

According to ChatGPT:

Sitting with crossed arms and a folded leg can indicate various states, such as feeling defensive, cold, or anxious, but it can also simply be a position of comfort or habit. The exact meaning depends heavily on the context, as the posture can create a physical barrier that signals emotional withdrawal or apprehension. However, it's important to consider that crossed limbs are a very common and comfortable posture for many people, notes Quora and Westside Toastmasters.

Potential negative interpretations
  • Defensiveness or being closed off: Crossed arms can be a physical barrier that signals emotional withdrawal, annoyance, or being on guard against a person, situation, or topic.
  • Anxiety or nervousness: A person feeling anxious may cross their arms and legs as a way to feel more secure or shielded.
  • Disagreement or skepticism: When combined with other cues, it can signify that the person is skeptical of what is being said and is not open to persuasion.

Potential neutral or positive interpretations
  • Comfort and habit: For many, this is simply a comfortable or natural way to sit and does not have any hidden meaning.
  • Feeling cold: It can be a way to conserve body heat.
  • Confidence (depending on the specific position): In certain contexts, like a woman crossing her legs above the knees, it can project confidence.
  • Power or stubbornness: The "figure 4" position (one ankle on the knee) can indicate competitiveness or stubbornness, especially when a person's hands are also clasped around the ankle, notes Nonprofit AF.

How to interpret the posture correctly
  • Consider the context: The meaning of the posture is heavily dependent on the situation. For example, seeing it in a heated discussion is different from seeing it while watching a movie.
  • Look for other cues: To get a more accurate picture, observe the person's facial expression and other body language cues. For instance, a smile and relaxed face indicates comfort, while a frown and tense shoulders may indicate defensiveness.
  • Use your instincts: If the other nonverbal cues are unclear, use your own instincts to interpret the situation.
  • Be aware of personal differences: Some people simply find this posture to be more comfortable or find they do it without thinking, and it doesn't reflect their feelings at all.

I would have loved to see footage of Chris at the events and how he behaved. In those sets of pictures, you can see Chris basically isolated, though at one point another goer sits next to him, but doesn't look like he's interacting with Chris. The last picture of the guy sitting next to Chris shows him rubbing his sinuses as Chris is interacting with him.

2001_BrickFest6.jpg

Finally it culminates with Chris resting his head on his shoulder, looking like he just fucked up, and some kid in the front turning around and looking in his general direction.

2001_BrickFest4.jpg

He looked like a normal geeky 19 year old, was Bob there because Chris didn't have a drivers license or because hotels required some over 21?
