BTW, does anyone have the full audio for the date? The CWCki says it was deleted.
I can't seem to find it, but it's on youtube in parts, here's part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1TGCi-iuEk

Thanks. Unfortunately there's only a few parts on there. It ends with her saying she has to go to the bathroom due to her period. Unfortunately no :pickle: man audio :(

Damnit, well, someone probably has the audio somewhere.

So I'm not sure if I've mentioned this anywhere, but I'm majoring in game design, and there's something about Chris that keeps bugging me...

If he wants to spend all day playing vidya so much, why doesn't he try getting a QA job at a game studio?!

I'll be honest, QA is pretty much a terrible dead-end job for most anyone who wants to go elsewhere in the game industry, but for someone who just wants to sit on his ass and play games all day it seems like the perfect fit for Chris. He'd have to submit short, succinct bug reports and shit, but as long as he doesn't use the bug tickets to tard rage at the programmers or something he should be fine.

Ther was an email leak from a few years ago that indicated that Chris had contacted Nintendo of America about doing game testing, and apparently the knowledge that they only offer on-site QA positions in Redmond just stopped that ambition before it started. But it's not like there aren't game studios in the DC area, some within reasonable commuting distance for him. There's even one in Charlottesville! (Though it seems to be a small studio focusing primarily on mobile platforms. Haven't taken too close of a look at it though since it's not in my area and thus not in my personal realm of interest. :P)

I've heard that generally recreational gamers are not the most desirable for QA positions, because they tend to not want to just play the same game over and over again for months on end. That could be a setback, because chances are Chris would list his skill set for such a job application as "I spend a lot of time playing lots of video games." If he instead approached it as "I am detail-oriented with a passion for games, and a one-track mind" except I'm brain-farting on a nicer way to say that last part right now... I guess that could work idk.

The autism isn't even that much of a problem, I know tons of game people on the spectrum (including many, many of my classmates, which can be frustrating because HOLY SHIT please stop sperging about League of Legends for two seconds so we can work on our pitch). Chris just needs to get off his ass and get out and, you know, talk to some people.

Unfortunately that's the most unlikely part, isn't it.

Yeah, there's that too. It's really a shame that he's running himself into the ground like this... but, well, he only has himself to blame.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if after Wendy's his parents got it drilled into his head that he was unsuitable for employment, and thus Chris is afraid to try.

Also, he cares enough about Trophies to actually re-buy a game just to get them. So while he obviously doesn't mind re-playing a game, it may only be in the context of feeling some manner of achievement, which makes me think a job doing QA would be an ill-fit.

You know, I would absolutely love an honest-to-goodness documentary about Chris. I doubt that it will ever happen but I think it definitely could be legitimately great if done right.

That idea is interesting, but I'd worry (especially at this point) it'd be hard to put together a good documentary on Chris. There are so many different tracks to investigate and all sorts of things to explain. Tons of cross references. I'm thinking that a wiki might be the best medium to explain Chris. Or, not just that it's the best, but I don't know how effectively a linear medium could do it.

Although, maybe someone could put together a good miniseries on Chris.

On a similar topic, I enjoy radio shows or things like that when they talk about Chris. Normal people discovering Chris for the first time amuses me.

Chris' life is like Les Miserables. Any attempt to bring it from the cwcki to another medium would fail because there is so much that requires context. Although, the musical did work so maybe... :ween:

One issue I have is with people newly discovering Chris and not looking into it further, or all the A-Logs in the comments on any of his videos. All the stuff on the wiki and the forum have guided me towards the belief that Chris has become something to be studied in order to grasp properly, as opposed to an ordinary lolcow whose shit on the surface is something you can laugh at. Not that that still isn't true of OPL, but given how out of left field shit like the Tomgirl phase, his relationship with Barb, and his catching on to troll plots would appear to be...

Could Chris get ANY more awkward than with this video? I mean, if Jackie wanted him to cosplay, then that's all fine and good, but why did he need to make a video where he just stands around like an idiot while saying random things?

INB4 "autism"

I always prefer this version of that video:

I think a miniseries would be better at this point, definitely. I think it's too late for a documentary now.

Or people who look at him and exclusively white knight him because he's mentally disabled. That sounds harsh, but if you dig deeper and get to know Chris better, you realize he's more complex than just a victim of [cwc]Kick the Autistic[/cwc].

So I was thinking of some random Japanese wordplay, as I tend to from time to time, and it occurred to me that oshinko, or "pickles," is extremely similar to ochinko, which means "dick."

Of course, oshinko refers to a side dish of various pickled vegetables, not specifically pickled cucumbers, but still... hehe. :pickle:

Marvin, where'd you get the pickle suit? Who would sell such a thing?
