Hmm...maybe he wanted Chris to have a consequence for his actions? I can't imagine a dad being proud of their son carrying around any form of the attraction sign (especially since it didn't/wouldn't work)

Perhaps, but that didn't stop Chris from doing the same thing in other locations and getting subsequently banned from all those locations. Chris never really cared about consequences if his parents kept bailing him out. I mean Bob was somewhat willing to play along whith Chris' Love Quest (see Chandler Family Christmas), big mistake. It wasn't until barb laid the hurtful truth level saying the attraction sign was stupid.

I'm surprised Bob just didn't do like he did during Greene Elementary and just move to another college in another county.
Community colleges tend to be set up regionally with very little overlap (the next closest one to Ruckersville after PVCC is Blue Ridge Community College, which is about 50 miles from 14BC), there's no way Chris could have gotten into UVA, and Borb definitely weren't going to move in their 60s and 70s for him to go to another community college, especially when the suspension was only for a year.

Chris was in that age where he could have gotten college housing. But for obvious reasons, did not. Also, I would think after suspension for the attraction sign, it would be grounds to get kicked out. So Chris was way too interested in China as opposed to studies. Plus he was not ready for college.

They think Clyde Cash is real and want to top him, and they also ignore the reaction every other failtroll got?
There definitely was someone behind the Clyde persona what wasn't real are things like the brother who committed suicide when Chris said he wasn't drawing anymore because of the trolls.

Really every troll and e girlfriend in Chris salad days did have somebody behind it working behind the curtains. Ironically Chris ha believed for years that his problems can be traced back to some network of conspirators working to mess up his life like some legion of doom or as this sits rules state. An "autism Illuminati," and technically he was right, there was. Just not based out the game place or Mary Lee Walsh's office. And while kiwifarms is probably the closest to 4-cent_garbage.com in real life as possible, we're not some 72 story building where everyone gets drunk after spending all day posting dickgirl pictures online.... Right?

It's easier to target an organization with a physical hq. Instead the 72 story bldg is virtual. The drunken shitlords, well, Chris wasn't all wrong there. The dickgirls, too... That's a thing, but I don't feel like Chris really qualifies like he thinks he does. Lol.

Huh. A couple shots and the D doesn't sound half bad right now.

He was never ready for college, but Bob still had hope for him and it got him out of the house for a little while. Chris went to a community college, when I went to one most students were fresh out of high school were still living at home with their parents. It was an easy drive to get there and back. I still wonder to this day why Mary Lee Walsh allowed him back him, because the poster sign was considered racist and misogyny today it would most certainly be on the grounds of him getting kicked out for good.TSome student from the college would for sure taken a picture on their Iphone and post it on Facebook and Instagram to show everyone on their friend's list if he pulled something like this today. It might of gotten some attention with the local news media.

I guess where I'm located is the exception two community colleges depending on traffic not that far apart just a little driving to get to one you have to pay a toll.

Yeah Chris , despite claiming he's a massive intellect, never really gave a shit about excelling in school aside from lying about how he was proficient while also being autistic, I guess.

Pretty sure Mary Lee Walsh only allowed him back in because she knew for a fact he was disabled or at least there was something wrong with him and back then it was a different time.
He for sure deserved being penalized, but he got the benefit of the doubt because of he clearly wasn't right in the head to begin with, pretty sure he would've gotten fucked over if he was a normal person with a notion of their actions or at least the implications of what they're doing/saying, something that Chris seriously lacks. He clearly tried being more PC/not racist/sexist later on when [trying to] pick up women by making more and more vague descriptions on his 'requirements' for a boyfriend-free girl.

Yeah, students with disabilities have certain rights, a lot of them actually, probably even more in a nonresidential publicly funded community college. Now, what would win out today, his disabilities or other's feelings, is a worthwhile question.

I learned that Chris put a Curse ye ha me ha at Walsh.
If I was Walsh, I would be like "There must be a mistake on the admission team. Was the real Christian Weston Chandler got kidnapped and replaced with this lunatic?"

The thing about starting college (I also attended community college) was that a lot of people didn't seem ready for even that amount of responsibility. As a punctual person I knew about 'okay I have class at this time, I gotta make sure I leave the house by this time so I'm not late' and 'I have a test Friday, I'd better study the next few days to make sure I'm ready' but so many of the people I knew either personally or from having classes with them couldn't manage even that. I grew up with a friend who was very shy and didn't like talking to anyone and when he was about to fail a class he refused to go to the office to drop the class so it didn't affect his GPA. His parents told him over and over to do and it he flat out refused so his dad ended up taking a day off from work to do it for him. And I had classes with tons of people who just didn't show up to class or do their work. I spent the last two years of high school hearing about how you have to be an adult in college and no one is going to babysit you or prod you and I guess the people who didn't believe that warning weren't ready, and Chris fell into that category. And like Chris, some people never learn that lesson and stumble through life thinking their problems are someone else's fault

EDIT - Extra thought - I wonder what Bob's college experience was like...could it be he thought it was a really good experience? Did he meet girls there and thought Chris might as well? Was Bob irresponsible and it helped him learn to get himself together?

There are people that aren't college material, but they work hard and do well in their jobs they get promoted through hard work experience, and training. Somebody like Chris falls into a whole different category he might fall in the category where he would need a job coach to shadow him at his job to make sure he is doing the job. I knew students in college with learning disabilities that were in special ed classes and then put into mainstream classes did well in them. For someone like Chris to talk down to students that were in special ed classes I knew quite a few that graduated from colleges with degrees that weren't passed along because of their disability. They did well in their classes they attended. They have decent paying jobs and a few have masters degree are married and have families of their own.

Quite possibly the best Barb moment ever? I mean she wasnt wrong that it looked retarded,

Bob was playing the grandfather role more than a father role, I kind of wonder if both were at odds with Chris...... Bob playing along and Barb telling the cold hard truth about the sign and his love quest. I think she knew there was zero chance of him getting a girl or even get laid by one. I'm surprise Chris didn't go ballistic attack Bob when he confronted Chris about the home tour video.

Guys, I think Chris was telling the truth when he claimed he was descended from royalty.

It's only 5 stories, actually.

That's why I said "tend to be," since there's sometimes overlap, especially in areas with greater population density. For example, I live in the largest county in my state, and there are 2 within easy driving distance of me, and 2 more that would be a less convenient, but still doable, drive.

I learned that Chris put a Curse ye ha me ha at Walsh.

Community colleges almost always have open enrollment, which means if you have a pulse and either a high school diploma or GED, you're in.

From what we know, Bob had a pretty stereotypical college experience for someone of his generation. He went to Auburn for a year, deployed to Korea, came back to what is now Jacksonville State University for a bit, then went back to Auburn to finish up his degree. He was part of a lot of musical interest groups and things like that. I'm not sure if he met any girls - I vaguely recall Chris telling people that Bob had lost his virginity at 27, because Chris apparently knows when both of his parents first fucked. I don't know that he would have been "irresponsible" in any objective terms, once again, at least from what we know about his history.

Just with Korea and college, you'd think one would get laid by accident eventually.
27 is kinda odd.

Even as bananas as Chris is, I think he had enough brain cells not to do that. Not too many people are dumb enough, especially as a relatively young person, to attack what's essentially the alpha male of their household. The implicit threat that your dad will kick your ass if provoked is always there.

I also think the reaction of whining and then panicking is very consistently Chrislike. In the few examples we have of Chris attacking anyone, it's always very half assed and ineffective.
