Frankly, I think it would be obvious that this is the reason. It has been eluded in prior threads that people have misconceptions about Chris because only a selected amount of information is given out because people who are still involved with him do not want to let members here see new information. Is there a reason for this or is it just a lack of care for the kiwis.

It's complicated.

So, for example, there are people in Charlottesville who run into Chris in the wild from time to time. I've got friends like that in Charlottesville and a lot of my understanding of Chris comes from people like this. The information I get isn't always in the form of a concrete piece of evidence that I can share with everyone.
 
Interesting. Chris truly is the modern form of a village idiot. I wish we had something like him around here. Most of the lolcows in Michigan are on the other side of the state, other than the juggalos of course...

I don't even know about porn. Chris' sex drive (physically speaking) is pretty weak. Chris is fascinated with the idea of being lesbian. Actual normal male sex urges? Probably absent or extremely weak in Chris.

Edit: Or actually, he might definitely be watching the porn. Just not mass debating to it.

It seems possible/likely that he is trying to surpress them. Without going into graphic details, sexual feelings that are uniquely masculine may be a bit of an anathema to him in his current state of mind.

But what normal fan of masturbating needs to make a Facebook message saying, essentially, "I like porn!" If Chris had a normal sex drive, he wouldn't be obsessed with tribbing, which of course will provide him with zero sexual stimulation. Chris has levelled up to "Lesbian," and now he just needs to move on to the next mission, which involves unlocking the "tribbing" award. This requires two different kinds of grinding.

He used to buy a lot of porn and sex toys. Didn't use them all that much though. For example, when he was younger, Chris expressed that he thought masturbating twice a week was something to basically brag about.

What do you think Chris meant when he tried to excuse shecameforcwc.jpg to Megan by saying that drawing it stopped him from doing something worse? I know it's commonly taken to mean that he wanted to rape her and used drawing to sublimate the desire.

In reality, Chris was experiencing normal emotions. He wasn't going to rape anyone. He was just saying "I am horny" in a very retarded (and scary) way.

One more question, if I may - do you think Chris didn't believe Catie had a choice about dating him, or that he just couldn't grasp that someone would get a 97% match with him on OKC and not think that they should be together?

Chris comes to a conclusion first and then finds reasons to justify it later. I don't think it's very conscious either. Chris just feels like things are going his way all the time. It's probably because his thinking is saturated in TV cliches. (He's the hero, there's going to be a happy ending, things are always coincidental and well written, etc.)

In that case, Chris latched on the okcupid match rating as something that meant it was destined to be. If he didn't have such a high match, he'd latch on to other things, like astrology or English heritage or pretty much anything else that pops up to him.

Chris has always believed that dating is a step-by-step levelling up process. You start as acquaintances, then become friends, then move on to dating, then become sweethearts. Chris spent weeks talking to Catie before their first date. By this time he had become smitten with her and assumed they'd be together forever, but (I'm guessing) this is only because Catherine didn't put any roadblocks in the way, for the sake of the trolling experiment. In a normal situation, a woman would have sent out signals to get Chris to back off from his marriage fantasies. Catie was "nice" to Chris, but this doesn't mean she was willing to say anything that would have caused Chris to get discouraged. I'm sure he put out feelers every step of the way, and saw nothing but green lights. Catie never said "I love you" like Julie did, but she never said, "You're moving too fast, you need to back off." At least, not until Applebees had been accomplished. Chris made assumptions he had no evidence for, but a normal woman would have corrected him very quickly. Catherine was deliberately trying to be nice and polite to Chris, to contrast Jackie and Kacey, but the drawback to this was that Chris thought she was a sure thing. So the 97% on OKCupid was only a first step. Then Chris had to go through his checklist to get to the bonus round, and from his perspective this was going as planned.

This is an important thing to keep in mind.

Chris' situation with Catie was extremely unrealistic. Completely manufactured.

Now, that being said, Chris handled the rejection particularly shittily. Of course, no man would handle that kind of rejection well. Chris' fuckup with how he handled Catie's rejection was in his choice of excuses. Like the 97% match on okcupid.

(Well, and by "fuckup", I mean Chris saying funny stuff. It's not really a moral failing on his part. Just a really funny choice of arguments as to why Catie is destined to be with him.)
