I think Chris' imaginary sister Crystal was one of the first signs of his tom girl side. A female version of him in his head? That's what he's turned himself into, a sweetheart from the ground-up.
That was part of it. IIRC, Crystal--the imaginary sister, not Crystal the imaginary daughter--came from two ideas: Chris' curiosity as to what it would be like if he were female, and Chris' childhood desire to have a sibling to play with. Interestingly, one of the first appearances of Crystal was on the homemade Yu-Gi-Oh! card "Girlfriend's Gift," with Crystal pictured as the girlfriend. Considering the overlap between Chris' idea of the perfect wife/girlfriend/sister/daughter, as well as his idea of women in general (kind/caring/sweet/spunky/what the fuck ever), this isn't that surprising.

What exactly sparked Chris' interest in tribadism? It's not really a thing that lesbians actually do...
Porn and pop culture.

i find it sad that chris expects all woman to treat him exactly the same.
"if i had a sister should would have been nice and caring to me, we would go shopping, and she would listen and believe. she would help me with all my problems"

part of me really wants chris to move in with a woman who doesn't have to be nice.
the shock when he finally figures out "she was mean to me, but it wasn't because she was brainwashed by damn dirty trolls"
that is, if he doesn't just ignore the whole thing.

it's interesting that woman have been mean to chris before (which isn't hard) and chris just ignores it.
i'm sure someone with a real mean streak can just abuse chris, and then go "oh, i'm sorry, i promise i'll make up for it by tribbing you"
and chris will instantly forgive everything.
and now i have this strange thought where some woman convinces chris to try bondage, and she just wanders off for a while to look through the junk-heap for things to steal as he waits (the safeword is pickles)

A lot of the reason Chris expects all women to treat him the same is that he perceives all women as treating him the same. Look at Kacey. She was quite bitchy, but Chris saw her as sweet and caring. At the same time, no matter how nice women have been to him, he always wants more. Within reasonable limits, it doesn't matter what kind of woman let Chris move in with her. He would perceive her identically to any other woman who might have let him move in.

I guess there are some lines. Megan and MLW seem to be enemies of the state. Although I wonder what would happen if Megan came to him offering apologies and tribbing.

Heh, I think Chris would accept her back, but be extremely bitchy the whole time, like he's doing her a favor.

Is there any topic Chris actually has something resembling expertise in?

I brought up in the "Compatible with any Woman" thread that for all his obsessions, I couldn't think of a single topic he has actual knowledge of. Every time he seems to just scan the surface and entertain himself on his pet interests without ever looking any deeper. He reminds me of how Stephen King described Annie Wilkes: no interest in the actual construction or creation of the things she adores. All she wants is to consume.

If anyone can think of an exception, I'd love to hear it.

He's pretty adept at making other retards mad about being retarded.

Chris probably lacks talent in any particular field, he's too lazy to actively practice or research anything. Not everyone has something in particular they're knowledgeable about, but Chris seems to have a sub-par understanding of a wide variety of things - more than someone who's never looked into it but less than anyone who sat down to read a wikipedia page.

It's pretty scary to think that there are people who know aspects of his own life better than he does.

*to prospective girlfriends* "Hmm, yeh, I don't feel like explaining dat, just read the cwcki! Ignore the mean parts though..."

Chris is so lazy about even knowing about his own life that he uses the wiki about him as a source when he wants to remember something.

I wish I had some metaphor for describing that, but that's what he actually does. I've seen it.

So Chris hates the CWCki and wants it taken down, but also consults it for reminders of his life.

Urgh.

Heh, and more importantly, he's referred prospective galpals to it before because he was too lazy to explain something about his life. He just told them to ignore the bad parts.
I see the logic in that.

How would he even begin to explain the things about himself that need to be explained? Just the fact that he has a wiki and an active forum making fun of him is weird and noteworthy in itself. If I had a friend who mentioned to me that they met this nice autistic guy named Christine Chandler and were trying to be part of his support network, my first reaction would be "well, that's a nice thing to do. But just so you know what you are getting into, please read the CWCki before involving yourself too much."

Although his motivation is probably quite different.

He knows a lot of stuff about Sonic and pokemon and stuff like that. Although he seems to know them in different ways than most hardcore fans. He doesn't try to go deeper into it, and find out about the creators or the origins of the media he likes. He just watches them over and over again.

There is a class of question: "I vaguely remember an episode of ____, where x and y happened. Can you fill in the details?" There are a set of shows where Chris can legitimately answer better than the vast majority of people.

People seem to think he may have picked it up from South Park?

I think its real appeal to him is that it is something that would never happen in straight sex. A lot of things that lesbians actually do are done by straight couples too. The point of tribbing is that it shows him to be a true an honest lesbian. Of course he could give a girl oral sex or finger her. But jerk males do those things too. And since he has a duck, it wouldn't really be any different from guy-on-girl stuff. Tribbing is something no right-minded male would try to do. That's its appeal for Chris.

The thing that's strangest to me about Chris's various fandom interests is how ultimately shallow they are. Like, most people I know who are hardcore into something will want to go deeper into the material and examine the narrative in some way. Chris, on the other hand, only seems interested in what a show can do for him. Even when it comes to Sonic, he barely seems to care about any of the actual characters, he just shameless rips off their designs.

That is an excellent point. I think it is a reflection on the autism though
Personally, I'd put it more on the narcissism/ego than the autism. Most people I know who are legit autistic about something are fascinated with the way it works. The only thing Chris feels that way about is his own creations.

Even with his own creations he's a very shallow thinker. Sonichu doesn't even kind of have a plot. All the characters are either blatant self inserts who exist only to fulfill Chris' empty power fantasies, one dimensional obstacles for the self inserts to overcome, or fuck-puppets.

And in spite of Sonichu being his big obsession, I'm still pretty sure anyone who reads Sonichu or the CWCki has a better understanding of it than Chris. He knows less about putting a cohesive narrative together than Tommy Wiseau.

you don't think he knows tons about MLP and Sonic?

I'm pretty sure someone has posited this theory, hell, maybe I've mentioned it before, but maybe Chris's whole transgender thing might not just about confused gender identity but that he wants to become a woman so if all else fails, he can be his own ideal mate. He play with his own "breasts" and "vagina" and know that he will be the only person who loves him unconditionally. It'd sorta be like episode of King of the Hill where Bill became Leonore except more extreme but maybe not explicit dual personalities.
