Has anyone ever been in a job where someone in leadership transitioned? How do they even announce it? Does Barry just join the zoom call as Barbara and people are supposed to figure it out from context clues?

It's a nightmare, on high management corrals middle management and we all get read the riot act, and are expected to go disseminate it to the underlings. Then comes training and powerpoint presentations about how said middle aged weirdo is stunning and brave. It becomes as long as you, or anyone you're in charge of doesn't deadname or at the very least get caught doing it, you're in the clear.

However, this person rapidly found themselves cut out of most serious decision making, because even if you're "accepting and an ally" deep down, no one trusts the decision making ability of a 53 year old man who decided to troon out. I used to complain about this man never trimming his massive forest of nose hair. Now he wears a wig, calls himself Chantel and still doesn't trim them.

I'm finally getting around to watching The War on Children and it's pretty fucked up. It takes a very conservative slant (though I wouldn't expect otherwise) but has some interesting stuff in it. There was an article a male handmaiden FB friend posted where the writer wondered - with no irony whatsoever - why Hunter was praised for wearing an almost-topless dress with a feather over the inflated moobs, whereas another woman with similar skimpy attire was criticised for nudity.

The present situation caused confusion with a foreign acquaintance of mine who thought that "the n-word" referred to the word "negro", because he couldn't get anyone to tell him what it was and that was the best he could find in his dictionary.

The paper I saw about troon brain scans did exactly this. The problem is that for any set of points, there is a curve that fits through them exactly, if you're allowed to use an arbitrary shape of curve. So the "training" is finding such two curves (in the high-dimensional space of pictures of brain scans at a given resolution), one going through all the cis brain scans and no trans brain scans, and one going through all the trans brain scans and no cis brain scans, and then patting yourself on the back for achieving a statistically significant result. This is then carefully disguised under all the machine-learning jargon.

The second problem is that even if they did the statistics/regression correctly, they make inferences not warranted by their experiment. We don't get to see what the troons brains were like before they started trooning. Creating a response of sexual arousal to the sight of oneself in clothing intended for the opposite sex by a form of masturbatory Pavlovian conditioning is bound to affect the brain. But troons will instead say "See, The Science says people are born in the wrong body." The study is just there to bring online discussion to a halt with an argument from authority.

Yesterday I was reading the letters to the editor in the NYTimes regarding a recent op-ed they published on detransitioners. [A]
It was nice getting a chance to see a publication like the NYTimes show through the letters to the editor how radical and niche transgender ideology really is. Then I came across this one.

To the Editor:
As someone who is seen as a “detransitioner,” I reject this label. I was on hormone replacement therapy and presented as a woman for five years, starting when I was 27. That period turned out to be one of the most emotionally and intellectually fruitful of my life thus far, and it’s for this reason that I don’t regret any of it.

I stopped my hormone regimen because I had doubts about the idea of marrying a straight man, since they’re generally less funny than gay men. However, I continued to have access to prescription estrogen, and would dabble for months at a time when I felt I wanted to mix things up.

If this lifestyle sounds irresponsible or unsustainable, then this is because we operate within a conception of identity that forces us to conform to the same systems that privilege heterosexuality as the norm.

Unfortunately, when it comes to gender-affirming care, it is indeed political, as long as we continue to treat people like they’re “born this way” and therefore only valid insofar as they satisfy a standard of biological determinism. It’s political because politics should be able to account for lives that inevitably twist and turn and proceed, unbidden by convention or expectation.

I never detransitioned, I just kept transitioning, but my driver’s license certainly looks outdated.

I think it's from Jordan Peterson, but the phrase "it's revenge against God for the crime of being" kept running through my head all until it finally clicked-- they just hate themselves and want to suffer. I can't believe it took me so long to come to such a simple conclusion, but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. We all know the social contagion theory, but trooning out is just the most extreme version of eating yourself, or cutting yourself, or OD-ing yourself to death. They hate that they were ever born and sadistically want to inflict the maximum amount of suffering on everyone else before they make their way to an early grave through their self-destructive lifestyle or suicide.

The reason they take troonshine and chop of their tits and dick? They hate themselves and want to hurt their body until it dies. They crave some prolonged suffering, and want everyone to suffer along when they look at them.
The reason they're rapists, pedos, furries, and other sexual crimes against humanity? Sexual pleasure is biological and controllable, but they want others to suffer so they pick the worst sex crimes that inflict the most trauma. Perhaps they unconsciously want to be caught.
But, they will NEVER be satisfied- que"born this way".

The term "demon possessed" seems to summarize my thoughts, and they certainly could use an exorcism. I'm only stumped on how.
