Honestly, has the troon movement made anyone more homophobic? I wouldn't call myself literally homophobic because I've dated/slept with other women. And I don't care if someone else is gay. Yet just like people blame feminism for troons, I see so much of the push from troons as extending from the gay rights movement/general push to make gays a part of everyday life.

I know the response is "it's because gay rights orgs were captured by troon ideologues after gay marriage was won to keep fundraising, etc", many everyday gays/lesbians hate troons for trying to force them to have sex with them, etc etc.

And yet...
for instance they just announced a gay character on Bluey (show I enjoy with my nieces) and I wish they hadn't? First step to introducing a troon character to the kids, etc.
I'm bi and hate the LGBT community now. If I could take back my vote for gay marriage, I would. LGBs had a choice when troons came out, and outside of some exceptions like the T&H here and orgs like the LGB Alliance and Gays Against Groomers, they've overwhelmingly decided to support butchering children, putting men on women's sports teams and in women's prisons, and running the entire censorship complex where anyone who questions this is cancelled and fired.

The only correction I see at this point is an overcorrection back to when LGB were in the closet and you'd live an entire life in a metro city without seeing a troon. I welcome it.

Just when you thought troons and pooners couldn't get any worse, the next generation will be insufferable AND illiterate! Well, if they are in public school at least. Let's see what a student thinks of the ~homegrown identity unit~
Screenshot (47).png

Seems like a sweet kid, they even graded it on a kind curve! It's a shame they will be totally unprepared for life outside of their educational hugbox. This makes me too MATI/sad to be snarky. A lot of the reviews of this particular school are similar, hopefully the DoE forces them to TEACH CHILDREN TO FUCKING READ but I won't hold my breath(:_(

Why do trannies have such a burning vitriolic hate for detransitioners? I understand the whole "a heretic is worse than a heathen" explanation, but that's not really satisfactory. How do troons justify this in their own minds? I'd ask one myself but I'd rather not talk to them and they're allergic to hard questions anyways.
Firstly, because the most prominent detransitioners are female, and troons hate women almost as much as their own fathers. I suspect that female detransitioners are pushed harder because "abused girl led astray" looks better than "coomer wanked himself silly," but that's a whole other discussion.

Secondly, it's because of the way cults operate. I apologise for this long sperg here. You can get a person to believe all sorts of crazy shit, provided that you immerse them in it totally. For that, the beliefs of the cult must be treated as perfect and unquestionable. If you're surrounded by people who believe that and shun anyone who doesn't, you will start to believe it yourself. The explanation for any imperfections is that you are the problem.

Members buy into this not simply because they're brainwashed or they fear punishment, but because they want to believe it. The sort of people who join cults tend to be lost in one way or another. The idea that they have found the truth and it is conveniently the answer to everything is very attractive to them.

Apostates are dangerous because they're former cult members themselves. They saw through the bullshit. They overcame their own wants, the cult's brainwashing and the dire threats made against those who leave and it turns out that they're fine - and you too can leave. Cults will push the idea that those who leave are malicious, they are failures and they will certainly destroy themselves - again, the flaw cannot be with the cult itself, it must be with the person. There is usually a degree of doublethink here to justify both the perfection of the cult and the existence of this shitty person within the cult ("He was evil"/"Scientology can instantly spot evil people," "No one would transition if they weren't trans"/"This stupid bitch was never trans").

I'm fascinated by cults and the trans cult is one of the most interesting. It has no leader, but rather a lot of vested interests who try to control the narrative. There's no formal structure, but a cult-like structure has formed organically. In other ways, though, it's a one-to-one match. Troons are also lost, and the answer the cult provides is that you were meant to be the opposite sex. The immersion comes from online communities and the constant assurance that the outside world is transphobic and out to kill you. The threat against apostates is that the transphobes won't accept you and you will kill yourself because you're no longer living your authentic self.
I struggled with my identity when I was young. It's not like I thought I was a chick, I just didn't really feel like a man either.

I say this because, it feels like these people are putting an unnecessary mental and emotional burden on themselves. Now, I know I am a man. I have a penis. There are things that I do that are feminine, there are things that I do that are masculine. I don't ascribe myself to a label because of what I do or how I feel, I am simply me.

Why can't this be enough? Why can't people just be satisfied with the knowledge that they are themselves? Why do we have to torture each other over some stupid fucking label to describe the flavor of the month fad?
Linked to what I said above, I think it's because a lot of people want labels and identities. Being human is hard. It's easier in many ways to say "I am [X], therefore I must do [Y]." Especially if you can find a community that thinks the same way.

I don't think the trans community is what made me more homophobic.Honestly, I think what really made me more annoyed with seeing gays everywhere was all the spicy straight people who are desperate to be some flavor of queer.Whether its trans or some sexuality that makes you different from everyday straight people. It has become so annoying because every day gays just wanted everyone to see them as the same as straight people. But these young people today treat being gay, and trans like it makes you special and different. For example, everyone in fandoms (especially in shipping) only cares about shipping gay ships, and even on the off chance they do ship a straight ship, it's only because they headcanon one or both characters as trans. They treat any "cis" straight ships as boring, and unoriginal, but if you ship two same sex characters who have never interacted before then you get endless love despite the ship making no sense. Its so weird how dominate these types are, and I really dont believe its actual gay people because there's no way LGBT people as a group would be the majority in these types of fandoms whereas straight people would rarely care about it.

I hate to say this, but this is the question humans have been asking since ancient history so I think it's an embedded thing in our nature to want to belong and fear not being a part of the group. :(

I am sure there's studies into why, but preventing it from being so feverishly followed by some people might be impossible due to a combination of how they grew up, how their personality works, and their genes. Some have to learn the hard way, some will never learn.

It's just so deeply ironic. In the age where it is easier than ever to find people just like you, we end up isolating each other. Rejecting the label and norms you grew up with, only to assign yourself another and force it on everyone.

Cut your dick off, wear a dress, I don't give a shit. Just keep it to yourself. Play the game like the rest of us do. I don't need everyone to know the degenerate shit I'm into, do the same favor for me.

I was just thinking about this today. Many have degenerate things they're into but they can keep it to themselves. The fact trannies NEED to show off their kink around everyone (not excluding kids) means they are both voyeurs and pedophilic. Idc if a woman wants to be choked during sex, but I absolutely do care if she's in a public park around school kids getting choked up by some dude she met of grindr/tinder/whatever

A lot of it is the operant conditioning nature of social media. You get rewarded when you post the "right" content, and you get punished when you post the "wrong" content. Over time, you start to think that your socia media bubble is an accurate reflection of how the real world operates.

A lot of detransitioners end up realizing how flimsy (and dangerous, in the case of healthcare and laws) gender ideology is, and end up going against it. Others said it far better than I can.

For troons justifying it to themselves, almost every time I've seen a troon talk about detransitioners, they portay them as idiots who didn't do any research, got hurt by their OWN stupid mistakes, and is now trying to ruin everything for all the REAL trans people who TOTALLY know who they are and what they're doing.

This is a comic that does just that, with examples:

They don't see these as examples of people left with ruined bodies and REAL dysmorphia/dysphoria, but as some dumb asshole trying to place themselves between them (the trans person) and the goods (quick and easy hormones/surgery). If you told them about the article where a mother pretended to be trans, and was approved for the whole kit and caboodle (HRT, mastectomy, phalloplasty) in less than a year, they wouldn't be worried about people falling through the cracks, they'd cheer and break out the champagne.

As a bonus, the creator of that comic later made another one about how she was disappointed with testosterone and her transition:

Betrayal from the inside of a group is painful, but you know that. The group is full of black and white thinkers so it doesn't help when you can only be good or willingly side with evil.

I think it's due to knowing whatever arguments the detransitioner has towards transitioning is twice as strong as any other arguments made since the detransitioners know the script, they know the doctorine, and they know why it is. The detransitioner stopping and revealing that it might have been a bad choice and here is the reality of their situation stops those who are still in the cult in their euphoria high. I think that some are terrified that they'll be just like the detrans, while others are addicts shrieking that someone is about to cut off their validation drug supply. Trying to avoid being miserable at all costs.

Firstly, because the most prominent detransitioners are female, and troons hate women almost as much as their own fathers. I suspect that female detransitioners are pushed harder because "abused girl led astray" looks better than "coomer wanked himself silly," but that's a whole other discussion.

Thank you all for the enlightening answers. You've given me a better understanding of detransers and how trannies in general react to them. Also, lmao that fuckin' pooner comic at the end is the best thing I've seen all day.

Here’s an explanation I read that I like:
Being trans is living a fiction: one wants to identify as something they aren’t, and they need other people to play along with the make-believe for their bullshit self-identification go have any meaning. So when facts turn up that draw attention to the inconsistencies of the troon gospel, it breaks their immersion in the fiction that “trans women are women and trans men are men”.

Desisters put the lie to one of the core articles of troon faith, which is that being trans is a permanent, unchangeable condition, that trans people always were trans and always will be trans. When desisters demonstrate that the belief that one somehow is the opposite sex can change or go away over time, and that it does for some troons, that undermines their arguments in favor of fast tracking middle schoolers into so called gender affirming care, the weird assertion that this care is “life saving” (in the sense that your troon child will surely kill themselves if you put up any barriers to said treatments), and ultimately that being trans is a legitimate identity rather than a mental disorder.

There are not many gay desisters; and the few I can recall had a bunch of significant incentives to try and keep themselves straight (eg they worked for a conversion-therapy joint, their whole family would ostracize them, Jaysus would cry), and those people most often gave up and admitted they couldn’t make themselves un-gay after all. That’s one key difference about the LGB vs the T; and the Ts do not want those stories told.

:( I hope not, I’d prefer the troons to get mental health treatment for their weird fetish and leave the poor gays and lesbians alone. They already ruined Grindr and Bumble for you guys.
First there was Brianna Wu, then Yaniv, now Keffals who might soon be fading out. I worry about the next major tranny threat to terrorize the internet.
Keffals has a 50/50 chance of joining the 27 club if you know what I mean.

This is a comic that does just that, with examples:
She recently got an ask about it clarifying she doesn't hate detrans, just ones who "try to make it everyone else's problem".
Screenshot_20240418_020928_Samsung Internet.jpg

So she falls under the "stop cutting off my supply" catagory. She breezes past the idea that there should be checkpoints and forgets that mental health really clouds people's vison (like anorexia and schizophrenia for extreme examples) so they can't always choose the best choices for themselves. My guess is that in 5 years she will be just as spiteful trying to pretend that even though she had health complications/get off T for reasons, she still is trans and pills are good shut up.

As a bonus, the creator of that comic later made another one about how she was disappointed with testosterone and her transition:
She has little empathy and her comics are 50% meme phrases. I have this feeling she's autistic with enough self awareness that being trans hurts her more than helps her, and I can't bring myself to feel as bad for her as I should for her lack of personality and callousness. She had the warning signs up, but interpreted them as challenging her instead of warning. Now she has even bigger, more obvious signs up, and she still refuses to understand why. That's sad but ironically it will be her regretting that "nosejob" in the future and she might die without admitting she made a mistake, or that informed consent was a bad idea.

Nice recursive logic:
> don’t put barriers between me and my T!
> it’s transphobic and literally killing me to make me get a medical referral! Gimme that Informed Consent Form NAO!
> oh, you felt like you got rushed through transition and you regret choices made in the depths of mental illness with dozens of other troons love-bombing you to ignore your own misgivings? :smug: Well it’s your own fault innit, take some personal responsibility! Don’t blame the doctors for doing what you asked them for!
> Testosterone didn’t turn me into a man and I’m so alone ;-;

> Testosterone didn’t turn me into a man and I’m so alone ;-;
Well, she's surprisingly sticking to her morals so far and not saying it was the doctor's fault, so that's something. If she one day apologies for the detrans comic I'd forgive her, but until them lol.

I know a lot of users say that more people should hold accountability for their transition but they also encourage people to get proper help and alternatives/no transitioning, even if that help is gym and a shower. I don't know what she would say and I don't think she's smart enough to think of why transitioning should be covered by insurance instead of transfered to just private surgeries and defined as body modification.

Tell you what, I'll support insurance covering transitions if I, an able-bodied man, am able to pump myself up with enough testosterone and HGH that my balls turn into raisins and I look like Ronnie Coleman. Paid for by Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Watching an associate slowly go down the MTF path is interesting. It's always the same thing. Flirt with being queer or non-binary, put a trans flag up somewhere, come out as trans, proudly post a bunch of photos as they go on hormones, grow their hair out, take selfies where they look absolutely ratty and unkempt but everyone tells them they look great, before they stop posting selfies and hide behind a "portrait" that is clearly an idealised anime or semi-anime version of themselves. And all the while, they still talk like weird, nerdy, obsessive men.

Thinking about Maria MacLachlan's (PeakTrans) latest video and how she excellently described the process of a feminist left-wing women (like JK Rowling) becoming critical of the trans movement.
At first, you are basically in what she called a 'blissful ignorance'. Your opinion of the trans movement is "live and let others live". Then you start to notice little things that are just plain wrong, like men stealing trophies from women and lesbians being told they are not allowed to tell on a dating app that they are into females only.
So you decide to voice your opinion. You say something like, "I have nothing against trans people who just want to live their lives, but i find this [particular thing] harmful and unfair". You are assuming and fully expecting in your blissful ignorance, nothing more from it. Maybe a bit of debate, but mostly understanding since all these points you made are good points after all, and this is the self-proclaimed feminist LGB+ "be kind" brigade so the rights of women and gay people should matter, right?
Instead, you receive abuse. Not just any abuse, but misogynistic abuse, threats, doxxing, lies, twisting your words, and attempts to make you lose your lifelihood.
First, you are shocked, but then you start to feel angry. Angry and betrayed. You start to wonder how many others like you have been shut out and silenced by trans activists. You may start by looking up "that one woman" who you think was not entirely treated fairly, but you had earlier decided to accept the trans activists' version that she is just "a bigot".
You find out that despite trans activists vehemently claiming some things never happen, they do happen. They just willfully ignore them. You find out people criticising trans movement are feminists, LGB people, concerned parents, medical experts, and even trans people themselves. Trans activists just lie when they claim they are far-righters and conservatives. You find out they do not want trans people dead. It is the trans activists who send them death threats and show up to their events to "punch terfs".
And you become angrier, so you decide you will not be silenced. You decide to talk more and raise more awareness. The more you criticise and the more you share, the more abuse trans activists send to you. And the angrier you become.
Then the useful idiots see your anger and are convinced you are just a hater that should not be listened to. Why else would you be so angry?
I've said before that it is fucking weird how this has become the big central issue with the modern left. Because trans ideology seems to contradict a lot of what the left traditionally has claimed to believe in. The people who act like JK Rowling is Hitler 2.0 probably agree with her on basically everything except this one issue. Is there any other issue that the left is willing to draw a line in the sand on like this? I saw most of the left bargain away a lot of what it claimed to believe in to justify supporting Biden in 2020. Would they have done the same thing if Biden had said TWAM? Him opposing universal healthcare and supporting Israel weren't deal breakers, but maybe that would be.

Yeah, I've found myself bristling at pride flags and drag queens, even if they're the old flags and even if they're the irreverent, pre-2010's kind of drag queen. I hate that I'm starting to feel that way, because one of my dearest friends is gay and I don't want to associate the kweer movement with him (especially because he's sick of troons too lol.) But it's definitely starting to creep into my brain.
From what I’ve seen, a lot of the old school gays don’t have a fucking clue about how deranged this stuff gets. I was talking to my older gay neighbour the other day and it occurred to me that he has no clue.

Men and women, when young and healthy, both produce estrogen and testosterone. They produce them at different levels, but they do produce both. Unlike what troons think, estrogen isn't just a "woman hormone" and testosterone isn't just a "man hormone" (post-menopausal women have lower estrogen levels than men do, but that doesn't make post-menopausal women men).

Just as too much testosterone in a woman or too much estrogen in a man can have negative effects on their health, too little testosterone in a woman or too little estrogen in a man can also have negative effects on their health.

Therefore, describing transgender HRT as "wrong-sex hormones" is incorrect, and that sort of terminology, in a way, feeds back into the troon thought that estrogen is magic woman juice or that testosterone is magic boy juice. It is yet another part of their ideology that sex is modular legos, that a certain combination of clothes, surgeries, hobbies, interests, mannerism, and drugs determine what a female or male is.

Do we a thread compiling prominent troons, claiming to be "biological women/biologically female"? (or "biologically male", for ftms)

I've got a few quotes from Colin "Katy" Montgomery saying that, but I'm sure I've heard PhilosophyChoob, jessieGender, and other mtf's saying the same, but it's hard to search for such a specific soundbite.

If we don't have it already, I might start a thread; it'd be handy compiling these quotes, for when people say "but nobody is CLAIMIMG that transwomen are literally biologically female".

If anyone knows of specific quotes (text, video, audio, whatever) of well-known mtf's rationlzing how they're "biological female", plz drop a link.
