Many "women rights" laws are meant to prevent women from being assaulted by men, creepy men that are mad that they can't be in women spaces like bathrooms or changing rooms start to identify as women. This is an issue when a trans identified man is sent to jail for raping women but is sent to a woman's prison because he identifies as a woman.
Are you talking about Isla Bryson? Complex systems will always have some edge cases which can be abused by a sufficiently dedicated degenerate. That does not mean we throw the baby away with the bathwater. Do you think people who legitimately transition (have medical procedures done to them, take hormones, try their best to "pass" as a woman) do so in order to creep in woman spaces ? The common creep intent on abusing some woman in a restroom is not going to be stopped by a sign on the door anyway, would them claiming to be a woman as an excuse to be there change anything ?
Is not about stoping the men who do terrible things, of course a sign cannot stop that from happening. Is about the punishment authorities give to these acts. If a man rapes a woman hes sent to jail. But if that man is considered a woman legally he is sent to a female jail where he can rape more women.
There are definitely men who have taken hormones and had procedures done who act like creeps in women's spaces. There used to be a Twitter/X account that showcased such men, simply by reposting the photos and videos they uploaded on their own accounts. We know for a fact that troons have assaulted and raped women and sometimes that has happened in female-only spaces.

I tend to agree. And I think it's something that's missing from a lot of the tranny discussion but also a lot of lolcows with weird sex problems in general. Degen stuff is basically self-abuse and "traumatizes" people in the sense it damages them, but it's not like usual SA related trauma. I also think a lot of people are just destined to be followers. Their behavior is memetic. If they're surrounded by people promoting XYZ, they'll follow what to them is the path of least resistance. It's why a lot of troons can spiral shockingly quick. Imagine you're a mentally kneecapped hentai addict surrounded by people joking about piss fetishes in the Discord all day and night. You are what you eat, after all.

I agree but I think that for people to acknowledge this they must also acknowledge the fact that the internet is systematically grooming kids and fucking up their sexualities. If an old guy at the park shows a kid porn, that's considered sexual assault, but when algorithms and social media bombard children with porn (including CP on the early internet) and subtle coomer messages it's totally fine and doesn't affect the brain at all.
The sign on the door isn't to stop rapey men from entering the bathroom, it's to identify something that shouldn't be there so it can be treated as a deviation. Men are trying to circumvent the function of a little plastic rectangle by making it marginally more difficult to identify them as men immediately or rather by claiming they fit the description of the signage and are therefore exempt from its unspoken "rule" that this area is not one they belong in.
There's also the fact that most men, dangerous or not, want to avoid the social shame of getting caught somewhere they don't belong and being branded as creeps because of it. They will therefore usually avoid the women's changing rooms automatically, if only for their own reputation.
