Ya'll needa remember the quotes around "friend" because ain't none of these fuckers got any actual friends. Among other things remember this:

"Friends is just people you don't hate as much."
I honestly think this is because a lot of the people who were born after 2000, and literally have no memories of a time before smartphones and social media, confuse “friends” and “followers”. Then since they “friend” a bunch of people just because, they don’t see a person who they interact with in the real world as a friend, it has to be a different word. Friends are people you don’t dislike enough to unfollow, so there needs to be a different concept for someone you trust, and hang out with, and do fun things with, etc.

TL;DR: Social media is fucking up the kids.

Social media is fucking up the kids indeed.

I can understand some of that reasoning in that you don't need to be an expert in a subject to write something good about it, and you don't always need first hand experience either. But idk why you would be invested in writing erotica if you're asexual... and especially why would you look at a work of fiction and want to "make it spicy" as that tumblrina puts it?

Also, non straight romances aren't better written or shot or drawn than straight romances imo. I think it's just that they're still fairly rare amongst all the romantic movies, books etc featuring straight couples, so it feels new and different to have a gay couple, even if their storyline has been used thousands of times for straight pairings.

The only thing that's really unique about them is the whole "What if my family doesn't accept me?!" conflict.
