An expansion on
the rhombus diagram created by qxej. I really enjoyed this diagram and found it to very helpful. However, I personally picture things a little differently, so I made two small changes to it:
- I removed Agender from the middle and added two axis: the horizontal axis (masculine/feminine) and the vertical axis (androgyne/epicene). Since Agender is defined as not having a gender, it was removed to further represent the rest of the gender spectrum.
- Gender-neutral was changed to Epicene. Gender-neutral is quite vague, and can be used to describe a plethora of neutral, neuter or otherwise indeterminate genders. Epicene describes a sort of neutrality derived from a lack of gender distinction between masculinity and femininity. It is a characterized by a lack of those characteristics, whereas an Androgyne describes is being between male and female; a blending of masculinity and femininity resulting in androgyny. Androgyne is characterized by the presence of these characteristics.
Now that that’s out of the way, this can go ahead and be broken down a bit.
Masculine-derived genders (

- Male: The gender typically associated with the male sex.
- Proxvir: A gender proximal to male that does not lie outside of the nonbinary gender spectrum.
- Androx: A significantly masculine androgyne.
- Neutromme: A gender that is in-between male and gender-neutral (epicene).
- Femache: A simultaneous male-female gender experience.
Feminine-derived genders (
Femproche):
- Female: The gender typically associate with the female sex.
- Juxera: A gender proximal to female that does not lie outside of the nonbinary gender spectrum.
- Gynx: A significantly feminine androgyne.
- Neutremme: A gender that is in-between female and gender-neutral (epicene).
- Femache: A simultaneous male-female gender experience.

- Neutrangi: A gender in-between gender-neutral (epicene) and andogyne.
- Epicene:: A gender characterized by a lack of feminine or masculine gender characteristics; neuter.
Gender derived from Androgyny (
Linproche):
- Androgyne: A gender in-between male and female.
- Neutrangi: A gender in-between gender-neutral (epicene) and androgyne.
- Gynx: A feminine androgyne.
- Proxangi: A gender proximal to androgyne that does not lie outside of the nonbinary gender spectrum.

This covers a variety of genderqueer and nonbinary genders, but is by no means exhaustive. Check out my other posts for more stuff like this.
