I've seen a lot of fucked up shit on Tumblr, but this left me genuinely disgusted:
Shit like this is why my Romani flatmate wants to tear Tumblr a new one on many days. I find it sickeningly funny that they also say white people lack empathy while writing off entire ethnic groups and they oppression they have or still actively face.

Who is disabled. Gosh it's so ableist that you didn't include that. There needs to be more representation of ethnic trans women who are disabled and lesbian. In fact, every character in media should represent that!

So a long time mutual decided it was time to kick me to the curb. Now this person has a lot of work to do to get their shit together and I mostly stick around because I am probably the last sensible person they hadn't severed ties with due to being thoroughly and stubbornly buried in Tumblr SJ culture. I wanted to help them get some dissonant opinions and maybe see more of a middle ground in things but they're pretty set in just recognizing their problems then doing fuck all to fix them. It's unfortunate but I guess sometimes you gotta know when to bail, especially when you're someone who actually struggles with mental health bullshit.

Yay me, zero reading comprehension.
They reblogged it with "criticism" which basically was "oh but people ARE TRIGGERED by those words" which is like wow whoopie. I had reblogged the version that I capped, and they decided it was super ableist of me I guess.
A shame and I admit I am upset by the fact that our friendship was fickle enough on their end to chuck it away over a tiny difference in opinion. Oh well though.

Oh man I know what you mean. In my original post that I edited, I mentioned one friend that corrected me on usage of ''idiot'' when I described ditzy anime character, and I was literally this.
But I didn't say anything, and some time passed same friend was upset about some also random Tumblr crap and I wanted to talk to them and sincerely give them a bit different perspective, and they just dissed me. That was last time I engaged with them from my side. Eventually I did unfollow them, because honestly, I will care for all you're worth, but if you won't let me approach you then fine, next time its your turn if you feel like talking. I think it's been a year since we last talked about anything.
Which is also one point I brought up earlier in post that I edited, I mean I understand whole social justice point, but more and more people are crossing the line into a cult where they police you what you can't do and whats acceptable. It's somewhat cultish and it's scaring me ever loving crap out of me. There's difference where people have different opinions and labeling someone ableist/sexist/homophobic/misogynist just because you dared to say ''well, maybe it isn't like that''.

Join the club, I just burnt a bridge today with a mutual because I got sick of someone's constant racism of "lol white ppl" (~*~*~but's it's okay because she's POC~*~*) and I made a vague statement that I was sick of it and tweet about people who list everything on their tumblr and twitter profiles are special snowflakes (the kind who are like "omg im demiboy-kin im 16 and i live in america and im (personality disorder here blahblah)") person took offense thinking it was about her, and thus I am now a "racist transphobe" .
I've been called worse, but you gotta get the toxic influence away somehow.
