I don't understand. Why are they upset?
They really hate the idea of regular female friends jokingly comparing themselves to lesbian couples. Nevermind that Ruby and Sapphire are canon lesbians, and their costumes are a cheeky nod to an old rumor about Peppermint Patty and Marcie also being a couple - trying to include straight people too is erasure!

I could never bring myself to give that much of a shit, really. It's just an awkward thing that happens sometimes. Being mildly uncomfortable is far from the worst problem most lesbians and bi women have to deal with.

I was once introduced as "boyfriends" with someone I was just friends with. It was no big deal.

Wouldn't this be more of a classism issue rather than a race one? Upper class usually infers better educated, whereas poor grammar and spelling indicate a lower-educated individual, and last time I checked, there are a lot of fucking white people on the internet that can't type for shit.

Tumblr kids absolutely hate it when you bring up the fact that most of their imagined racial prejudices are actually much more likely to be tied to classism (because at the end of the day the only color that really matters is green let's be real); because it doesn't fit their narrative of "straighty whitey trying to keep the queer black foxgenders down".

Matter of fact you only really see 'classism' brought up by the wannabe communist kiddies who use it to justify their shoplifting.

When I read a post on the dangers of using meth, the first thing I want to know is that it smells. Yes very important information

That psa is a trainwreck. I don't think the poster has actually used meth before. They used a bunch of random facts in an attempt to look like they knew what they were talking about.

They had a point until they said "Historically Accurate Misogyny™". Then I stopped listening.

It's better to make your stories historically accurate than to purposefully leave out the things the poster took issue with. History is violent and politically incorrect, and to deny that would be the same thing as claiming those prejudices never existed.

There are a lot of good titles in the high fantasy genre. I don't think they're blatant copies of LOTR.

Well, that's what that OP gets for working at a place similar to Hooters.

How have men 'claimed the culture' when venues like dance and computer programming are equally dominated by male and female artists?

The skyrim one isn't completely wrong imo. A lot of high fantasy books can get annoying when it's basically the same setting as the last book you read. Many of them reek of trying to copy Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. But people don't normally choose other places other than medieval Europe because 1) It's a totally different culture and trying to be accurate can be exetremly hard if being realistic is what you're going for 2) People like the ones on tumblr will nit pick and tell you in detail why you're a terrible person for writing outside of your own culture.

Women do kinda get the shit end in some fantasy, but they ignore the badass female characters and try to change them. It's not real, so you don't have to be right with everything you choose to add. But why waste time trying to tell the writer how to write their story when you can create one yourself? If you know this genre has a reputation for being half-assed, learn about your authors before you pick them and waste money. Same goes for vidya.

I feel like 'linguistic prejudice' is something that person made up.

It is a thing, although not really outside of social justice circles, so of course rationalwiki has a page on it.

It is something I have noticed though, I'm from an area of England with a strong accent and the stereotype of being stupid, so sometimes people will will be a dick to me over it. Although in the real world you don't sit down and write a weepy tumblr post over it, you just get on with life.

All I can think of is the Methed-Up-Samurai.

He does have some weirdly paternal and caring posts for a guy who is basically Tyce on drugs, of course he still keeps his own unique style.

And while we're on the topic, what exactly is so fucking awful about valuing the words of the educated over the uneducated, exactly?
I'm not saying that the uneducated are somehow less human, or undeserving of respect, but by definition, they are uneducated. You should not value their ideas and opinions the same way you do someone who knows what they're talking about.
Tumblr's quest to make stupid people important never fails to amuse.
This is pure gold. Because, after all, we wouldn't want people to think poorly of meth addicts.

.
They probably got made fun of for speaking weird. There are people who use slang and talk street in public but use better grammar for something professional like job interviews. Like @kidsquid said, it's about first impression. Tumblr is being butt hurt.

Not sure if this has been posted here but...

It's a severe psychological issue and this dingbat doesn't get it.

Also, how dare Zootopia uses "respectability politics" to address issues. And it feels like the live-action stuff is getting SJW. It also reminds me of this episode of Girl Meets World (same channel) where Riley gets into Harajuku fashion so her own dad (who is the history teacher) calls her out in front of the entire class because the Japanese thought of this fashion on their own.

I'm not sure if the comments in the reblogs, or the comic itself, make me laugh more.
Like, what's wrong with just saying "Don't be racist," instead of making one of those damn "I'm white, I'm so sorry, uwu" comics?
Wow, what a fucking cuck.

Hey, maybe the reason why most college students are white is because that more colored students drop out? Ever thought of that?
College admissions are based on how smart you are, not how dark your skin is.
Maybe "PoC" commit more crimes than whites?
[Citation Needed] for that post about prisoners getting jobs.
For the homocide post, the FBI statistic only backs up 81% of crime statistics being intraracial (not recognized as a real word). The everything about the media reporting on it is complete bullshit and pulled out of her ass.

:powerlevel:Now please stop looking so smug while you're castrating yourself and taking mouthfuls of shit from colored people on Tumblr.:powerlevel:
This appears to just be someone taking the piss, and they seem to be pretty good at it.

And then, all the men in that shop castrated themselves and became trans otherkin queer genders, all MRAs died, OP found her hot lesbian soulmate who immediately started fucking her on the floor while the crowd cheered, all female cartoon characters where ruled lesbian by law, Steven Universe became the official lesbian mascot show of the universe, OP became the owner of Tumblr, won the nobel peace prize, and the credits rolled.
