Honestly, that seems more like something geared towards helping those with anorexia or something.
And if it isn't, it'd serve a better purpose that way.
That's true, it's a great msg for ED sufferers and fatties need to stop appropriating that kind of thing to justify their fatness. No one is saying you have to hate yourself just because you need to lose weight.

Some tumblr post was also going around about how the only wrong thing Hillary has done was the emails, and how strong she is for standing up against these slanderous attacks while Trump is racist sexist homophobic misogynistic and whatever else -ist. The problem is, there have been email leaks showing higher ups in her campaign talking in code about what's presumably highly illegal things.
But Hillary is the best because vagina! Comment about horseshoe theory, Hillary being privileged and repesenting the aristocracy etc etc.

Some black lesbian has "expensive" hair.

Same black lesbian is apparently disabled and e-begging for money to feed her cats and herself.

The last 3 posts on her Tumblr page are reblogs of the same e-begging, with only 151 notes.

Opening the "Cripple" tag on her page gives us a fresh batch of eye-rolling.

Bitch if you're crippled and forced (in your own head at least) to e-beg, maybe you shouldn't have multiple cats who need checkups and vaccinations that also cost money.

You goddamn dipshit.

As far as her meds go, $180 is really steep. If she isn't working and is on some kind of benefits, even if it's just the dole, she should have been issued with a Healthcare Card which discounts the vast majority of prescription drugs in Australia. There's also something called the Medicare Safety Net; the eligibility criteria is extremely esoteric, but if she's racking up specialist visits on top of her monthly medication bills, she needs to make enquiries. And if she's as disabled as she says, she should have already tapped into the various disability support networks who'd surely have this noted on their FAQs. If she'd applied and been knocked back I'm certain that she'd never stop harping about it.

She's an abusive carer down in Melbourne that controls her and her money, but is completely chill about her going out of state without him. That seriously does not sound right. I've watched domestic violence (which is what she's describing) in action, and the abusers do NOT want their belongings to go gallivanting around on their lonesome. If there's no way to prevent this, the DV abuser will want to know the exact location of their victim at all times, will call multiple times a day, even multiple times an hour, to make notes on how many metres they've moved, who they've spoken to, what they're wearing, tell them if they're allowed to have a cup of tea or that they're to only drink water and love it. It's not uncommon for the abuser to recruit a spy to follow the victim around.
And then you have the social media thing she has running. A DV abuser controls all aspects about their victim, including who and when they talk to, and what about. A victim who's able to maintain a social media account will be either posting incessant sunshine and happy rainbows and the perfect life, or else they'll be keeping something very, very low key. They'll post infrequently, very short entries, and they will be very careful about who can see what they're doing, because the DV abuser does not want the truth getting out or their victim slowly gathering enough support to be able to make a run for it. And yet, despite being in a domestically violent relationship, she doesn't feel the need to hide the social media that outs her abuser as an abuser, and she's allowed by him to not only leave the city, but the entire state without him.

I'm in no way saying that she's not disabled. I've known many people who've had mystery illnesses that they struggled to find a diagnosis for, and who've essentially had the specialists call them malingerers and kick them out of the surgery. :powerlevel:I've received a few kicks myself.:powerlevel: And given that Centrelink's way of helping the disabled population find work is simply to refuse to approve the pension, I've no doubt that there are individuals who've ended up buying their own wheelchair regardless of whether the doctor or the social workers say they should or no.

All in all, it's just not adding up properly.

She says that she cops shit off Centrelink and spends a fuckload of money on meds. This happens. But what the fuck is she taking that costs $180 even though she has a Healthcare Card and its delicious prescription medication subsidy? If she is indeed speeding that much money, she'd have to be on a metric fuckton of medication for it to add up like that. My mother received a donor organ some years back. She was unable to return to work, however, and draws a disability pension. One of her meds- a highly regulated steroid, if I remember correctly- costs something insane like $800 for a month's supply without a Healthcare Card. But with the card, the steroid and the other medications that keep her alive cost her in the vicinity of about $50 a month. So if the crippled Aboriginal agender lesbian's prescription meds are indeed costing that much even with the subsidy, that still means that somewhere along the way she's been prescribed an insane number of medications. This implies that she is regarded as seriously ill by at least one specialist, and definitely runs counter to the "No one believes me when I tell them I'm sick!" refrain.

Or, she could be just making shit up.

If someone is approved for a pension, it would not take several more months before they begin to receive it. The approval process itself might, but after that, it should kick in at the end of the fortnight. If she has already been approved, she'll have the money sharpish. She might have to beg for $40 or $50 for mince, rice, milk and petrol to get her through the week, but that's not uncommon.

She has cognitive dysfunction and permanent brain damage, but still had to fight for disability benefits. And types a pretty sentence despite all that too.

She has 'expensive' hair, but can't afford $200 to service her wheelchair.

The fertiliser factory just rang and left a message. They want all their cow shit back, or else they'll call the coppers.

Trump isn't even anti-lgbt where are people getting this from?
If he was the republican party candidate that means he has to agree on all the fundie issues, even if most of the mainline GOPers hate him.

Not to mention that Trump or any other president would not be able to make things like abortion or same sex marriage illegal; that'd require the Supreme Court to overturn its decision.

I mean, to be fair, his VP Mike Pence is incredibly anti-LGBT. However, Trump isn't pro or anti LGBT. He's pro-whatever gets more votes from the Republican fundies, and has kept mum on his position on LGBT issues, minus saying stuff like "let the states decide" when it comes to same-sex marriage.

Honestly, I hope WikiLeaks makes good on that threat to drop "life-ruining" info on Hillary. Even if Trump has said some stupid shit, actions speak louder than words. Hillary's actions have actually harmed other people.

Nobody on Tumblr understands how the American government works. Sometimes I wonder if schools here even bother to teach it anymore with the amount of ignorance I see online and in real life.

People either believe the president has unlimited power, or should have it. Their entire idea of Congress is "the evil Republicans who don't allow Obama to do anything" and they had no idea what the Supreme Court was until they made bans on same sex marriage unconstitutional.

The fact that each branch of the government, especially the executive is supposed to be limited in what it can do is lost on them.

My high school required government and politics Senior year (I graduated in May). So they do. And the class was actually informative. I don't know why people are so ignorant. I chalk it up to not giving a fuck when they learn it. Goes in one ear and out the other.

I never got that much education on how the government works, but by the time I graduated high school, I had been taught most of the basics - the three branches of government and what they do, how a bill becomes a law, etc.

(Admittedly, some of that I didn't learn in school...)

So, I think the Tumblr generation should have been taught at least the basics of how the government works. Then again, they probably just slept through their classes...
