The original Death Note was already about some boy with a god complex murdering people willy-nilly, he was just Japanese instead. I don't see the big upheaval they're talking about here.
So it's perfectly fine if someone wants to thin out their own race of criminals convicted of violent crimes, but not if someone does the same regardless of the criminal's race?
It's also blindingly obvious that these people have never actually read Death Note or watched any of the adaptations. Light totally kills non-Japanese criminals and, moreover, does NOT specifically target prisoners. He targets criminals who have been convicted of a crime who had their face and name publicised on TV, at first. It's an important distinction he makes himself right at the beginning. They should take their own advice, pick up volume one, and educate themselves.
