Random Tumblr posts

I'm all down for keeping a finger on the pulse of what your kids are watching, you know? Or even what other people's kids are watching, since you'll have to listen to them yell about it as you sit in a restaurant. I'm always interested in comparing the cartoons of the day with the cartoons of my youth, and I like to rewatch those nostalgic cartoons every so often to knock the dust off them and reassess their quality/messages. (I'd mention specifics, but that'd be :powerlevel:. It's something that aired after Steamboat Willie.)

But yeah, there's a big difference between an adult of any age saying "You know what, this show for children is actually a decent show" and some whinging millennial kidult with a plastic gem glued to their chest screeching "AMYTHST ISN'T WORTHLESS BECAUSE SHES HEAVY YOU FUCKING FATSHAMING TRANSPHOBES!"

I get what the Alt-Right really is, what I was lost on is why SJW types even add the "alt" if they already consider anyone who disagrees with them as "Right Wing" in the first place. Is there a form of mainstream conservative views they're all for (to them, Islamic conservatives aren't viewed as conservative)? Cause that's what the implication is but they use "Alt-Right" and "Right Wing" as interchangeable.

They add alt because it's the latest buzzword. The only reason it emerged as a buzzword was the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Also conservative = bad, and Islams aren't bad, conservatives hate Islam, so it's good. Therefore they must be feminists just like Tumblr.

I was looking at FandomHatesPeopleOfColors's blog and I found this funny. (Why don't we have a forum for SJW students bullying their professors?) To me it's even funnier when it's a liberal professor because it shows you can never appease someone like this.

Basically a black college named Kayla Renee Parker gets her professor fired. This all stems from them disagreeing about slavery that Kayla got wrong on a quiz.

Kayla couldn't accept that she got the question wrong so she hassled her professor until the teacher thought she was a crazy bitch. The professor recommended Kayla books that would prove her point but Kaylee dismissed them because they were written in the 1960's and Kayla believed them to white-wash black history.

The professor allowed Kayla to do her own presentation about why she thought she was right to the class. Kayla sources her own father during the presentation.

It became clear to the professor at some point that this girl was going to try to ruin her career so she started venting about it on Facebook without using her name. Eventually, She was forced to retire but posted one last message directed at Kayla.

Yeah, I think before this era of internet autism, it was just normal for people to react like that, I suppose. They liked that show as kids, they still care for it for nostalgic value, may rewatch it to get that good nostalgia feeling...But it's nothing compared to this "social discourse" that we're going through.

You'd think SJWs, when they're so obsessed about analyzing media and searching for political messages, would instead turn to adult media, since it would obviously speak of it more than kid's stuff or generic CW teen crap.

I think people are confusing "Alt-" with "Arch".

Archmage = More Mage than Mage
Archangel = More Angel than Angel
Alt-Right = More Right than Right
