If we're discussing potential new tumblr dramacows, I was about to post a link to an insufferable little psychopath by the name of 'slanteyechink' but it appears she's made it so you can't see her blog without a password. (Is this a new thing? I've seen a few people start doing this recently.)

She's pretty much your basic 'no such thing as racist toward white people' tumblrtard, who claims it's ok to have such a racist URL because she's 'east asain'. In her FAQ it said that if you aren't asian but you like the culture; that's fetishization. She once made a post about how upset she was that the little girl who voices Connie from Steven Universe is white. Last but not least, I saw something happen a while back where one of her hurtful comments upset someone so much, they dissappeared for a certain amount of time. When confronted about it by one of this persons friends, slanteyechink showed absolutely ZERO remorse. God it churns my stomach just thinking about it.

They really fail to understand that because it's a personality disorder and they are still cognitively mature (PDs are generally only diagnosed in adults), they don't have an excuse to act out in horrible ways. Because, at the end of the day, they can control their actions, but those who act out in horrible ways are assholes. They may not be able to control their warped personality, but they can control their actions.

That's incidentally why things like NPD and AsPD are not going to give someone a not guilty by reason of insanity verdict. They hide their wrongdoing. They know the criminal acts they have done are wrong and they'll get punished for it, even if they feel no emotional compunction or guilt. Also, BPD has actual treatments for it that work, such as cognitive behavioral therapy adapted for problem. So the excuse of "oh they're just picking fights, but support them anyway" is bullshit. Support their attempts to get help to alleviate their problems, but punish their shit actions.

And to give people an out for their actions with this misguided Tumblrtard idea of "well, they have a personality disorder" will just worsen their behavior. It's basic operant conditioning. You wouldn't encourage a depressed person to hang a noose in their bedroom just in case. You wouldn't encourage someone with OCD to give into their compulsions. Why would you encourage someone to get into fights for no reason and encourage cognitive distortions like thinking every other person is beneath you?

Of course, that'd require Tumblrtards to understand even a modicum of psychology, for them to understand their folly. And they think basic knowledge of psychology, ABA, and so on are literally the devil or something equally retarded. In their attempts to play "oh, we're so supportive and openminded," they cripple the very people they seek to help by discouraging any attempts at seeking aid, spreading misinformation, demonizing treatments, and encouraging and enabling shitty behavior.
