I don't know I think this is kind of funny, but I did miss the reaching people had to make with some head canons. Now it's just this character is this head canon because it's my fetish or it's all I care about.

The reaching/drawing connections was part of the fun of headcanons. The headcanon probably wasn't true but there was enough evidence that it could be and they usually fit with the character and story. I miss those days.

He's canonically black/a POC, and I've noticed some tumblrinas have this issue of not wanting genuine POC characters to be gay, or like, they unconsciously support that most non-western POC cultures are homophobic. Maybe I'm just imagining it or something, but it seems that way (I guess? I remember somebody at first once racebending a character but then feeling very uncomfortable about the idea of them being gay...Or another person I saw that often bitched about islamophobia but they were quick to be homophobic themselves)...

Or maybe they just don't want black gay men, since they're quick to fap to black lesbians.
