It has the sense of humor much current year shit has drained out of people. I remember before tumblr became the nightmare it was during the 2010s it was just a normal ass blog site, i think I brought this up years ago but though I never made an account friends would link me random weird or funny blogs they found in like late 2000s early 2010s internet and it was either shit like this or people reuploading/getting sent and then posting weird fucking images from various media out of context. Now, the latter still exists online technically in terms of humor but not quite the same, more usually a "safe edgy" form for lack of a better way of putting it. Like they'll put stuff in yeah but the shit from earlier tumblr was closer to the "horrors" and "freak show" threads on here for art shit where it was sometimes genuinely fucked up shit nobody wanted to see mixed in sometimes with comedic commentary.
These kinds of reviews are rare these days. Don't see shit like this kind of post anymore where it's just someone giving their own genuine thoughts on shit in an amusing manner too often. It still exists technically but you gotta look for it.
I was SHOCKED a few short years back to find the "jew or not jew" blog ran by those 2 jewish guys giving opinions on random shit or famous people was still up, but that has it's own dedicated site and isn't tumblr lmao. Still, for a good scope of how bad the socio-political clout fueled conditioning is with some people these days barely anyone I run into I have a reason to bring that site up knows about it they just assume i'm some kind of neo nazi alt right guy profiling jews secretly. I could literally show them the site, send them the link, they'll just do that thing where they talk past you and act like you said some other shit. Fucking hate it.
Mildly unrelated but God I still remember when the "die cis scum" shit first started up in like 2012? mightve been a bit earlier but I used to think that was a star wars reference back when it started popping up and since thenI've just been intentionally miscronstruing it as a starwars reference to piss off politics brain poisoned tumblr(now twitter/reddit) people that used "cis" like a safe edgy version of nigger. Rambled exactly about this before a good few back i'm certain but I'm bringing it up again for obvious reasons tied to the fact it's tumblr related and was one of the earlier signifiers of the rot.
