I'd say so, but people seem to be under the illusion that the whole point of acting isn't playing a character that you're not. It'd be the same argument if, say, a straight woman was playing a lesbian.

This is a totally different nitpick but some people actually interpret the story not as Stockholm Syndrome but Lima Syndrome (which is the reverse of Stockholm; where the captor relates to their 'prisoner'), and that Belle was not technically 'forced' into anything. If I could find the original analysis I would link it because it was VERY interesting and even used the original Beauty and the Beast story and other Disney movie relationships as better examples of Stockholm to back up their claims (Rapunzel and Mother Goethel and Judge Frollo and Quasimodo, specifically).
