Only in Tumblr can you be called a racist for saying you hate racism.
Also, if black people are oppressed and lack systematic power please explain Obama.

By that logic anyone who dislikes Tyler Perry movies are racists.

And anyone who doesn't like Adam Sandler movies is an anti-Semite, and probably a Nazi.

I’ll wait for Black Panther on Netflix. Nothing about the character really interested me from his introduction in Civil War. He was a decent man who refused to go down the road of revenge. Okay. Where does he grow from that? Ironman and Thor both had redemption of assholes as their initial offering, Captain America had fish out of water themes. Black Panther just seems boring.

Not to mention all the “Yt people aren’t welcome, this is PoC only!” and “If white people don’t fawn over this movie they’re racist” sperging made me want to see it even less.

Honestly I'd like to see it in a packed theater with a crowd. If it turns out to be just decent, it should still be pretty fun, and if it's really good it'll be a blast.

I'm unsure what about this post sets me off. Is it the insinuation that someone who sees the Black Panther movie and dislikes it is racist, regardless of the movie's quality, the notion that any white person who disliked tlj is disliking it for the wrong (racist) reasons, or that the people who liked tlj are racist because space fascism or whatever?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't, I guess

I was agreeing with everything in that post until op said the reason TLJ was bad was because it was racist :heart-empty:

Because not everyone who disliked the movie disliked it for reasons relating to race (either "eww colored people" or "that's racist").

Also, some people had moderate opinions of the film that don't fall into slavish worship or righteous fury. You know... like me. It was enjoyable enough, the casino scene was entirely too expensive and overdone for how pointless it was, the bit where they freed the spacehorses was extra pointless and devalued the slaves, and Admiral Holdo not explaining her plan for no reason ever given is dumb for the purpose of drama. Beyond that, I really enjoyed it... so does that make me extra racist, since I qualify for both the "hate it" racism and the "don't hate it" racism?

Either they think you can be racist towards dwarves, or it is one more case of "seeing racism where there is none cause 90% of your knowledge of other people is stereotypes".

It's why I'm getting more and more fed up with PoC's attitude about white people... I'm excited for Black Panther but not because he's black but because he seem really interesting from Civil War and I wanted to know more about him. But of course some only wanna see the movie because he's black and not because he seems interesting or whatever reason to see the film.

And they act like literally any white people who isnt interested in the movie or just dont like the character as racist. Imagine how they'll react if their fellow black person felt the same about the movie?

In the words of Ralphie May, "you're not a dwarf unless you're in the direct possession of a battle axe."

Not sure if this has already been done but most of you should be aware of the community called 'otherkin'. If you aren't I envy you
