Too cringey for me.

See? That did not take long!

Already modded out the scene so they can ignore what the game is trying to tell you.

I brought this whole thing up with a couple friends and they pointed out this may be a reference to the newest Persona game? Because apparently a similar scene happens.

I plan to do this scene on purpose just because I enjoy seeing all the mechanics within the game. I immediately divorced Elliott when the option came out so I could see how he behaves afterwards, and of course, erased his memory and dated him all over again to remarry him. Easier when you're in Y4 and you have Pomegranate trees.... But anyway!

As much as these people crow about how they love their precious low-budget Harvest Moon game, they bitch a lot about how it's not perfectly tailored to their needs. The race bending mod (aka the racist stereotype mod) only exists because people got all buttmad that only two precious PoCs lived in the small town (Again, loosely based on people the creator actually knew).

At least this is the final update. Maybe they will find something else shiny to look at after a while.

I mentioned the Diverse Stardew mod in the SJW art thread, and how in their quest to "diversify" the game they just came off as racist (because making the one with nature artist chick a Native American and the computer programming nerd Asian totally doesn't come off as stereotypical.)

Now people are throwing massive temper tantrums on Twitter over the cut scene too. I've seen at least five tweets in the past hour and one user having a full blown meltdown on how the developer "should know better."

Speaking of Harvest Moon both SDV and HM fans are fucking nuts with each other. You have the HM fans who can't comprehend that a one man indie game is obviously not going to be as polished as a game made by professionals. Not to mention the accusation of ripping off HM despite the fact that the original HM creator is a huge fan of the game and Concerned Ape even met him. The whole purpose of SDV is to pay homage to the older games in the series.

On the other side you have the SDV fans who brag about how much better their game is because you can be gay, forgetting that the HM games are made in Japan. Not to mention bitter old school HM fans who use it as a vehicle to bash the current state of their series.

Screenshot that shit in the future bro, cause this chick hid her profile like a little baby who can't handle blowback.

Although the half-conversations I'm seeing just searching her username tell me quite the tale of her meltdown and people telling her to stop obsessing.

The reply to that meltdown showcase is beautiful and hits the nail in what exactly these sorts want in their media. Total and complete control over everything.

I will never fully understand it. I'm an avid gamer and I enjoy the hell outta RPGs and Role Playing in general. But it's just a game. Ya dun like what's canon? As we've seen--mods serve your needs. Or when in doubt, actually be creative with fanart or fanfiction or something. Just don't make it everyone else's problem, ya harpy.

Do these people not have any experience with relationships in the LGBT community? I could be wrong but from what I've read abusive lesbian relationships are a big problem that nobody really gives attention to.

What's hilarious is that other than the "reeeee this game that takes place in a rural town isn't diverse enough!" people have pretty much left Concerned Ape alone prior to this poly discourse. Now it's almost inevitable they're going to find even more shit to whine about and turn on him hard.
