I'd rather have a 1 hour lecture about how I can be medically helped than just having the doctor go, "I respect your snowflake feels and won't talk about it with you."

Their anger towards doctors usually come from "bad experiences" they have, usually when doctor's don't agree with their self diagnose bs.
Most notably are people that think they have autism/bdp/DID/OCD or some other disorder or mental illness when they're just projecting symptoms of it after reading about it online.
Some self-claimed autistics even go as far to film themselves "stimming" and make gifs of it like flapping their hands and such, which is really embarrassing to see.
This is from some chick that self diagnosed herself with autism.
