Well to be fair most of those Ao3 fanfics that have stuff like pedophilia and rape in it is either sexualizing or romanticizing those topics and not really showing them in a light that makes the person go "Wow this stuff is horrible" but more like "Wow this makes my dick hard" kind of way.
Even then it's still super fucking autistic to bawl and say you're going to report "problematic fanfiction" sites to the FBI, like...... the characters in these stories aren't real and are usually 100% super OOC too. I'd get the outrage if it was fanfic written about real people, but all these people whine about are shit like "omg this awful person jacked off to this fanfic where spongebob gets molested by his great-great-half-uncle, people are literally getting abused and raped because of this bad fic!!!!!!"
It's not that the characters aren't real is the content itself. If you're going to right a fanfic about little kids being raped as a good thing whether they are real or not is besides the point. The fact you wrote about characters that aren't of age sexually and writing it as okay to get off to is wrong period. And then posting it on a public website for all to see is just adding fuel to the flames. Cause anyone uses the internet and if some pedophile stumbles upon your shitty fan fic about kids being raped as a good thing they will add it to there collection.
