tbh I think this attitude comes from a scarcity of "primary sources" from the shooter in the public eye. Which, to be fair, I can understand to an extent. There are some people who legitimately take "inspiration" from past shootings, serial killers, and other crimes of this nature and see it as their opportunity to get some notoriety no matter the cost. Thing is, though, even a cursory glance at the shooter's manifesto reveals a lot about his mindset and what he was trying to do with the stuff that he said. He tried to hit literally almost every button he could. "Dumb jokes inspire real bigotry," "violent video games make people into mass murderers," "this controversial youtuber is fueling a racist subculture," etc. He mentioned Fortnite, he made a heads-up post in advance of the shooting, he streamed it on Facebook. He was trying to get as much attention and cause as many stupid arguments as he could, and literally fucking everyone is falling for it.

My favorite show the year before got cancelled at the first season. I didn't rant about it the way ODAAT fans are.

Sadly, whoever was doing the callouts there was a minority, so now there are TONS of posts using that bloody concept in a completely fucking serious way. God have mercy on me and my follows-tons-of-"asexies" soul.

tumblrinas are just boring in the long run. They're basically the same traumatized girl multiplied by a million.

the chance of finding genuine interesting Tumblr users who don't get offended over every single thing, who like media that isn't corporate crap like Disney/MCU and the woke shit of the moment, and who has a more laid-back attitude to life is just rare.

Unsurprisingly, Tumblr is loving the shit out of Captain Marvel. I guess it's to be expected, they've previously loved bland / mediocre products just as long as they had vaginas/homos/brown people as leads, and a female character with no personality, that just gets powerful more every second, and with no flaws except blaming men for her problems...Yeah the sperg tumblr lesbos would love her.

I know next to nothing about PDP, so I can’t address that, but as to point #2, I think the big problem is that we’re somehow living in Reverse Nightmare 1984. The world really is safer, more crime-free, and more peaceful than it’s been at any other point in history, but a big part of the problem is that every fucked up thing that happens is being filmed and broadcast straight to our phones. I don’t think racism is on the rise, per se, but access to viewing it and the fallout of it definitely is.

Oh yeah, for sure. I'm not disputing the fact that racism still exists, but if you really think that "white nationalism has skyrocketed" then you should be able to at least back up what you say, especially since it's not a light accusation to throw around. It also doesn't help that they seem to change idea every few minutes on what constitutes white nationalism, racism, or any other thing for that matter (see gender, sexuality et al). It's healthy and normal to change idea on stuff, but for fuck's sake at least be consistent for more than 5 minutes at the time .

Edit: English is hard, fuck me.
